Wimbledon of course, it's the oldest, historically the most prestigious, the only one played on grass which saw the origin of lawn tennis, and furthermore I'm British!!!!

(The idea of me ever being a pro tennis player made me laugh so much I nearly wet myself)

Ok on tiles or lino, but a real pain on carpet.
Stop going off topic, this has the potential of being an interesting thread.

Yeah they are, i feel sad for them. I got one of those for $1.99 at a cheap store in Cairns.

Don't worry my dear, I am sure there is somebody with no sense of humour who would be quite happy to undertake that task.

Grief takes many forms and excessive joviality is one of them! I am sure a new hero for you to worship is just around the corner.

Would depend on my nationality, style of play, feeling for the game's history, and surface preference.

My fave surface is clay, so Roland Garros.

I'm from the USA, so the US Open.

The Aussie is my fave slam of all, so the Australian Open.

Wimbledon is the most prestigious, so Wimbledon.

i personally prefer RG over Wimby because of the crowd. I'd much rather win with a crowd who doesn't seem to be dead.

I'd want to win Wimbledon the most. I'd want to PLAY at US Open the most, because of the atmosphere.

When I first read the question I thought Wimbledon without a doubt. Then I remembered the 34 year home winner draught at the Aussie open and changed my mind to Melbourne.

Melbourne:
Best surrounding (perfecet weather, wonderful city, start of the season, great tournament ...) BUT I never liked the rebound ace. I don't know the new surface but it's still kinda sticky.
Also: I love to watch the Australian-Open on TV. Great colours in the sunshine. It was even more beautiful in the 90ies.

Paris:
My favorite! I love clay, I love the Roland-Garros-Style & ... Best TV-coverage too!
:wavey:

Wimbledon:
Most beautiful centre-court. I love the style & the atmosphere. It's so historical and I really appreciate that they still don't have advertisings in the stadiums. Great tournament BUT I hate grass and I hate to watch grass court tennis. I've been so many times in Halle/Germany. Fantastic tournament and great organisation but most matches are kinda boring.

New York:
Worst slam. Big is not always great. Too loud, too windy, too many delays (why don't have a roof on centre-court?), ...

I think it'd depend if you have a home slam. If you did you'd want to win that most. If not wimby for the prestige.

So for me wimby.
