very low cut off, and that's before any withdraws.

True dat. But Ball and Gooch are likely to get WC's (or might not be well enough to play), Lindahl got the WC from the AO Playoff, and possibly Ouanna/Rufin will get the French WC and Somdev the Asia/Pacific WC.

So it's likely that we're already 5 into the Alt list.

No Hrbaty, no Kiefer, no Schwank, no Müller, no Reynolds in the qualies entry-list.

That list is definitely not correct, because Dent has DE. And Malisse also has the ranking to enter directly. So who knows what else is wrong with it...

I thought there was a problem with Malisse and he was withdrawn from the Main Draw due to the drugs thing and now he has to wait for a withdrawal to get back in if he is allowed to play??

Also on that list Nick Lindahl is out, into the Main Draw with a wildcard so Ebden is direct in (hopefully) :worship:

yes some people said that, but it's strange : he was in the original entry-list, he was suspended but now his suspension has been removed then normally he should get back his seat in the original entry-list

If they don't do that, it's strange. For instance, for the rankings, as a player with a rank high enough to get in the original entry-list, he should normally get zero point for the tournament if he doesn't take part in the main draw. How should we consider such a case then ?

It would be more simple and logical if he found back his place in the original entry-list

Its hard though, as the player that is moved into the main draw when he was removed has probably now made plans for his tournament the week before ao now knowing he doesnt have to play qualies!!

Im sure he will get in again anyway, sure to be a withdrawal or two over the next fortnight or so!

For Malisse, if he's really excluded from the entry-list, then a withdrawal wouldn't change anything

As for other players whom he might disappoint replacing them by coming back, anyway they would not be disappointed too long as there will be more withdrawals

No need to say it, wanting players to withdraw so Johnny gets in directly. It will either because of injury, they are in the finals of another event or some other reason they withdraw.

If they are good enough, then they get in directly.
