Nole's group will definately be playing Wednesday, how I know?Simple, the group that starts on Sunday(and plays alternate days after that)will have a day off between their last group match and semifinals which the other group won't have and of course this comfy advantage will be given to home-boy Andy ;)

Nole's really a winter person, right? So dedicated to his team, just like we being dedicated to him ;)

I was on the bus today and was thinking about Nole's holiday after WTF....and suddenly I felt worried about him skiing with Marat...if I were him I really won't risk my career like that :scared: I was thinking, "oh God, please bless this guy when he's having fun..." Dunno what's up with me...I felt bad for around 10 mins until I received Stephie's SMS about the London draw. Oh dear, this time I really dunno what's up with me...HOW could I have forgotten that the draw is out today???! Lovely Stephie was so excited when she reported that Nole has a good draw :D I hope he still has gas in his tank and can go for it! Time to break the defending champion curse, and so great the tournament is played in a different city!

Another thing...I guess Group A would be much more attractive with Mr Local-Favorite, The King and Reigning USO Champ, right? Then I hope they put Group B matches in earlier slots...then I don't have to stay up late ;)

It looks like an easy draw...but nothing is easy in WTF....it can be What-The-Fuck in the end...but Nole won't let that happen, right? :D Ajde!!!!!

And thanks Aaron for starting the thread :) Lovely title :yeah: Nice to see some less frequent visitors coming to this thread to cheer on Nole :D I love the optimism here, but I'm cautious not to get carried away.

Djokovic was the last man standing, but that means he'll have less gas in his tank than any of the other competitors. He has played (94) and won (76) more matches than anyone on the men's side.

"Tomorrow morning," Djokovic said in Paris, "my fitness coach was planning to have a two-hour practice. I'm joking, of course."

Djokovic said he was heading home to Monte Carlo for a few days and hoped to attend Wednesday's soccer friendly between Serbia and South Korea in London.

"Frankly, right now, he still has his wits about him, which is difficult to do at this time of year," said Martin, who will spend Thanksgiving away from his family -- instead, he will be encouraging Djokovic in London. :D "I've heard questions about his heart, but from what I've seen he has a huge heart and fights like a dog. He's won with grit and determination. :awww:

"Yes, he's played a lot more matches than anyone -- I don't necessarily think that's a good idea. But he's extremely fit. That's his greatest weapon right now."

Since he has a horse in the race, Martin declined to specifically handicap the Barclays field.

"It's such a unique opportunity to compete against your most esteemed peers," Martin said. "I think despite what you've seen recently, the guys will be ready to play. That being said, I think you have to be prepared for something different than the predicted results to occur."

From GM
After first matches seedings are no longer important. You only look at who lost has to play each other and who won has as well to play each other.
And who will play day/night doesn't depend on any rule but which match has bigger names, I think.

I'm sure all the guys outthere are competitive Rose, but few of them act like twits:shrug:

I blame his Mother :o To be honest she does seem to be a lot better now, but in the early days she was very loud and utterly classless when watching him - makes me laugh when I remember her behaviour in the Player Box at early matches, and then people here attack Srdjan and Dijana  So I think she had a lot to do with it. But, as I said, time and experience has changed her a lot for ther better it seems.

Next time I have the misfortune to see her, I'll casually remind her of the time I was sitting behind her at Nalbandian v Murray a few years ago at Wimbledon. He's amazing. His speed is what kills for him though.

I'm kind of neutral on both these players -- neither a fan or non-fan. I find my self cheering a bit more for JMDP. But I appreciate Murray's fine play too. They are much different.

I would think if he roots for either, it's JDMP just for the reason he's a fellow Spanish speaking person.

From my experience people who play tennis at a high level look at the matches much differently than I do.

I agree. He can go a bit over-the-top at times when celebrating his own successes (Bercy for example :o ) but he doesn't celebrate his opponent's mistakes. And yes I know the Bercy final ended with a DF for Monfils, but the after-match celebrations from Nole were from relief at finally winning a Masters in a final set tie-break, not for that point I'm sure.

True, but there were complaints here about Murray's come ons and fist pumps before that incident.

Even the great Federer shouts allez at opponents' errors. I think players see themselves and their play as forcing errors. And fist pumps can be more of a positive affirmation that cheering. Now, a fist pump at an unfortunate net cord would be disturbing to me. Also someone who fist pumps after each and every point won regardless of the importance of the point :cough: Ana :cough: annoys me.

There is a difference between shouting allez, com'on or whatever when you won a point after a long rally or you played such a great point, there was no way your opponent to return with a interest.Del Po missed a smach pretty bad,so there was no need for Murray to shout com'on and fist pump:shrug:

Surprised to see Nestor and Daniel lost in straights, though I don't think they've been playing that well lately so maybe it shouldn't have been so surprising.

Murray-DelPo didn't seem to be the greatest match sadly. DelPo seemed gassed. Might have taken it all out of him to even win that 2nd set. :awww: I read this on Tenns.com's Ticker: Andy Murray delights a packed O2 arena by winning his first match at the ATP World Tour Finals, defeating Juan Martin del Potro 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. I'm sure that's true but for some reason the use of the word "delights" was amusing to me.:shrug:
