Oh dear. I've got no problem with Iggy playing out the year, but not if his knee injury is anything remotely serious.

Should we even bother discussing the draw? I will anyway. Mayer is a dangerous 1st round opponent, but Igor should really still win. I can't see him being a threat to Murray in the form he is in, but that would surely be televised, so I'd love to watch it.

I'm a noob on the ATP schedule so help me. Paris is mandatory right?

If it is I don't see Igor withdrawing from Valencia, If he does lose early he'll have a few days rest before Paris.

Nothing to lose.

Actually, there's a list on the Paris site, and Igor isn't on it.

EDIT. I realise now that this is because he is outside the MD cutoff for these tournaments now. :o Oops!

Outside the cut off :tape: I haven't checked the rankings for awhile, the last time I did check Igor was #40

If Igor has to play Q's then he should withdraw from Valencia and focus on Paris more ranking points to be won.

First Kiri in qualies and now Igor? I give up with these 2 :sobbing: and matching knee injuries too how cute :couple:

Well good luck.

I think he's at 35 now in the rankings. Which is only 3 spots out of 32 player draws. But still, win matches Igor so you don't have to play qualies. :scared::lol:

He's in doubles action right now with Youzhny, opening the tournament schedule:crazy:. They're up against Pablo Cuevas and Juan Monaco.

I just wonder, why Igor (and Misha as well) plays doubles after pulled out of tournament (and Misha as well, again)
After 2 operations on the knee, he has to be careful with his health. I just hope this double means it's not that serious as it seemed in Spb:)
Good luck, Igor!http://www.qtl.co.il/img/copy.pnghttp://www.google.com/favicon.ico (http://www.google.com/search?q=ed)http://www.babylon.com/favicon.ico

Complete mystery to me why they both elected to play doubles together after both pulling out last week!! I was astonished to see them in the doubles draw!!! So no surprise they lost so easily. Maybe his knee has responded enough to treatment enabling him to compete fully in Valencia,I hope so.

Meanwhile he's 3rd on court 1 vs Leonardo Mayer tomorrow(play begins at 12.00 PM. I won't be around to cheer him,so good luck Iggy:bounce:

I hope he'll take some rest now. He needs to finish the season now, it's stuped to play with all that injuries and lack of confidens :( Please, Igor, just forget about tennis until better times

Yeah I think you're right, he wasn't in the Paris entry list before Valencia he probably withdrew before that
