On Sunday evening I've posted that R1 is a 2-day-round. But you warned me after I posted OOP for Tuesday yesterday.

Whatever, it is not easier for me with your comments. Your were right and I was wrong. Shit happens.

I thought you meant doubles, as usual. I couldn't know you meant singles too.

Ok, I won't bring this subject again.

I agree with Jens here...who the hell wants a first rd with only 4 matches???

If that were the case then almost all the matches would have gone to some shitty tiebreaker and you would be complaining still.

Things are done for a reason - 1st rounds are 1 day. Even in GS. Even Jens admitted he was wrong.

Don't meddle where you're not concerned. :)

Well, I am playing in this tournament so I have the ability to voice my opinion. In GS's there are at least 24 matches on Day 1, so yes, they should be one day. I'm just saying that people would be complaining if it was only kept at 4 matches, probably including myself.

Then the complaining would be directed at the tournament organizers, not at the manager.

Now we have a situation where most first round matches aren't decided and we're sending picks for a hypothetical 3rd round.

again, why should I count picks which were not sent to the manager? in that case we don't need managers anymore.
send your picks to anybody you want, maybe one of them will count them

what is the sr1 for doubles r1?

Greul vs Vassallo Arguello but thats equal in your match
You have advantage in SR2 so you need either Beck in 2 or Schuettler

Such great advertising to being a manager!

He was more than right to chose a two day R1. The same thing happened recently in another tournament and nobody complained. Jens made the perfect decision. He was only unlucky with the weather but still I would feel a lot better to lose over 6 games instead of 4 games.

I am concerned because I am playing this tournament. The rules of TT state that there should be 2 days of round 1 when there are less than 5 matches on the first day of play.

I think it is a perfect decision for all players in this tournament. Would you like to lose on game difference or on a SR. I've heared you moaning about losing on SRs. And now a manager gives you the opportunity to have your match decided over 6 games instead of 4. What is it that I am missing?

Couldn't care less about the number of matches.

It's a stupid decision and the fact that this tournament is a mess right now just proves me right.

I could've been playing the third round now and I don't even know my first round result.

Don't forget to tell that your h2h against me is 1-2 and that only win was only some SR shit. :) That's your chance to get your first main tour win against me. :) Or have we played during the last half year and I forgot it?

Check Cincinnati 2008.

I checked, my h2h with you is only 1-1 in singles and 3-1 for me in doubles. You never beat me in singles on ATP level. Don't tell shit like "3 wins" etc...

Winning on a PTS is schooled?

You were the lucky one this week again. I'm clearly leading the countback, you are lucky you play me now and not earlier this week.
