Taiwanese threadlin 07-18-2002, 04:59 AM Best wishes to all Taiwanese players :D :bounce: :bounce: lin 07-23-2002, 11:00 AM Yen-Hsun lost in 75K+H Brazil Challenger    Pedro Braga (BRA) d. Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE) 6-3 3-6 6-1 hopefully he can much better in US Open Qualifying :). lin 08-01-2002, 07:34 AM According to our local news today,Yeu-Tzuoo has been suffering breast problem recently, and even his family spent lots of money to check what cause the problem, the doctor still can't find the reason. poor Yeu-Tzuoo    hopefully he will get well soon :) Marri 08-02-2002, 10:36 PM Lin! hehe, i knew that youd be here too! ;) i'm proud! hehe, go Taiwanese tennis players!!! :D lin 08-03-2002, 08:24 AM Hi Marri ;) :wavey: Marilyn 08-05-2002, 03:29 PM hey guys long time no see! :wavey: lin 08-06-2002, 12:20 AM Hi Marilyn :wavey: Where have you been? I won't lie to you my dear :) Right now I'm still using someone else's computer! Anyway even I couldn't surf the net as often as I did before I still care about tennis a lot you know ;) , but it's so inconvinient without internet and computer. For example I wouldn't be able to know the results asap :fiery: lin 08-08-2002, 10:15 AM I'm glad you didn't lie to me my dear ;) :) . But why you sold your computer  Marilyn 08-08-2002, 12:45 PM Mainly because I was moving back to my hometown-- I had to make things fewer, and I sold almost everything in my room. It's funny that things like used table, used lamp and even used telelphone set have buyers too, computers are popular in "this market" I think ;) lin 08-09-2002, 10:55 AM oh,but will you buy a new computer? Isn't it inconvenient without a computer  Marri 08-10-2002, 12:28 AM MARILYN!!!!! I've missed you!!!!!1 :D  omg... sold your computer??? awww... then you wont be able to talk to us so often... :wavey: Lin :) lin 08-10-2002, 03:30 AM Hi Marri :wavey: You chould come here more often ;) . Marri 08-10-2002, 11:40 PM I'm not here often enough?? ;) hehe, can you give me the url to that chinese board you were talking about? :) Marilyn 08-11-2002, 11:43 AM hey Marri! :wavey: Miss ya! lin, I'll buy a new laptop soon, but I will be using dial up connection for at least two months more, or a even longer period. So like Marri said I won't be able to come here very often but still I'll come everytime I'm online :) lin 08-11-2002, 02:28 PM Marri-it's a university BBS board, and the procedures to access it is a little bit hard, but good luck to you ;) . telnet://moonstar.twbbs.org Marilyn-We will miss you :( . I'm not going to the UK now, instead, I'll stay in Taiwan, still as a graduate student though. I thought I did a bad jab in the entrance exam of the graduate schools I wanted to study in, however my scores turned up to be EXTREMELY good ;) don't ask me why :p And my sister is studying abraod now, I don't want to make my family's financial situation too difficult so I choose to stay in the end. Not a very tough decision, I love this school ;) . Marri 08-14-2002, 10:54 PM hehe Marilyn! ;) National Taiwan Uni. my my--- only heard good things about it! :D Lin, nah, we have privacy in here! ;) Marilyn 08-15-2002, 12:36 PM heehee let's not talk about me now ;) How about you both? lin, I heard that you are writing a book about Su-Wei? Wow!!! We'll talk about Taiwanese players too! Yen-Hsun is playing better lately isn't he? What's the rumor about he and Su-Wei? ;) lin 08-16-2002, 12:08 AM hehe Marilyn where did you hear I'm writing a book about Su-Wei  of cource I 'm not ;) . How do you know the rumor about Yen-Hsun and Su-Wei? ;) It's about l**e ;) Marilyn 08-16-2002, 01:11 PM Really? Well, someone is definitely writing a book about Su-Wei... ;) And is it relly about :hearts: or are people just making fun of them? I can see the Taiwanese Steffi and Andre now ;) :p Marri 08-16-2002, 05:25 PM lmao Marilyn! the Taiwanese steffi and andre! ;) hehe,.. isn't Su wei only??!! :p boy, do Taiwanese blossom early! :p Haha... don't talk about tw players.. i would feel lost then! ;) what's the talk about the book?? lin 08-16-2002, 10:18 PM well, there is no clear evidence about :hearts:. But Su-Wei ever posted one message on Taiwanese Tennis Federation message board which is about "how do you think about Yen-Hsun Lu" ;) . Marri 08-16-2002, 10:34 PM ;) i see... it's so cute when young teenagers "fall in love" lol ;) lin 08-17-2002, 02:05 AM well, they aren't couple now, they are just friends now ;). Marri 08-18-2002, 01:50 PM sure sure,, friends! ;) lol, I'll stop kiddin' now. :) Marilyn 08-20-2002, 07:10 AM :p ok ok friends will be fine ;) , that's very "official", I understand! lin 08-20-2002, 10:16 PM Yeu-Tzuoo won his first qualifying match at US Open :D:D:D Yeu-Tzuoo Wang (TPE) def. Giorgio Galimberti (ITA) 7/6(2) 6/2 next opponent is #1 seed Lars Burgsmuller, hopefully Yeu-Tzuoo can win this one :) . Marilyn 08-21-2002, 08:09 AM Go Yeu-Tzuoo! Good luck today Yen-Hsun and Su-Wei and Janet! :bounce: Marri 08-21-2002, 10:35 AM woohooo!!! maybe Yeu Tzuoo can make it into the main draw!!!! :D :bounce: hey Marilyn and Lin:D lin 08-21-2002, 09:08 PM Konstantinos Economidis def. Yen-Hsun Lu 6-3 0-6 6-4   also Su-Wei lost   hopefully Yeu-Tzuoo can make it to the main draw now. at least I hope he can win tomorrow's match, because I want to see "the battle of young talent" Yeu-Tzuoo vs. Richard ;) Marilyn 08-22-2002, 02:05 PM  what a day for Taiwanese players  I want to see Yeu-Tzuoo vs. Richard too!!! Yay! But still, bad draw! Grrr... Marri 08-22-2002, 03:50 PM YT did manage to bagel Konstan. for the 2nd set! ;) lin 08-22-2002, 07:17 PM Yeu-Tzuoo lost 1-6 3-6   also Richard lost   steph_g 08-23-2002, 01:26 AM Originally posted by lin also Richard lost   Is Richard Taiwanese ;) :p ? Marilyn 08-23-2002, 06:17 AM (Lol, steph_g, that's a good one!) Meanwhile,   Marri 08-24-2002, 11:13 PM who is Richard..... :o Marilyn 08-29-2002, 04:39 PM Marri it's for you! :bounce: lin 08-30-2002, 07:40 PM lol ;) Marri 08-30-2002, 11:30 PM omg... THAT _Richard..... you have to say the lastname too! :p ;) there are many richards around the world! ;) are you serious, HE is athe guys Su Wei likes?;) they're friends? :hearts: ooh, our girl has  taste. hehe of course i know this guy,.. i watched he play earlier this year.. some tourni in France :) Marilyn 08-31-2002, 05:51 AM Lol, I think there are some misunderstandings here. We love to make the situation complicated :p The rumor was Su-Wei like Yen-Hsun Lu. Yeu-Tzuoo Wang was going to meet Richard in the third round of men's qual singles so lin and I were looking forward to the Yeu-Tzuoo/ Richard match, nothing to do with Su-Wei really... ;) Unfortunately both Teu-Tzuoo and Richad lost in the second round... However, it will be great too if Su-Wei likes Richard and is a friend of him. :p Marri 09-02-2002, 04:49 PM :o i really should learn how to read properly - NOT between the lines... :p ;) (sometimes i just see what i want to see.....) lol thanks for clearing that up Marylin! Wow, imagine that rumour being spread... ;) *marri is anot a gossip queen* Marilyn 09-03-2002, 02:23 PM Heehee it's ok la! lin 10-08-2002, 03:51 PM *bounce* Marilyn, did you change your internet connection to broadband so that you can come to Internet more often? Marilyn 10-15-2002, 02:46 PM very frustrated, there are too many geniuses in the world while I am not one of them  :fiery: :p Marilyn 10-15-2002, 02:47 PM maybe they don't spend so much time surfing the net  lin 11-14-2002, 01:04 AM *bump* ;) lin 11-15-2002, 01:54 AM Originally posted by Marilyn very frustrated, there are too many geniuses in the world while I am not one of them  :fiery: :p same problem for me now as well actually  steph_g 11-15-2002, 03:51 PM Any news of Yeu-Tzuoo Wang and Yen-Hsun Lu  . lin 11-16-2002, 01:30 PM Yen-Hsun lost in 50K Challenger 1st round this week. Stephane, will you attend ITF Grade 4 Vietnam International Junior Championships in December? steph_g 11-16-2002, 03:07 PM I live in Hochiminh City and this tourney is in Hanoi (over 2,000km far away). But it just so happens that I'll be in Hanoi from December 3rd evening until December 7 night. It's for a business trip but I'll most probably drop by the tourney site from time to time ;) . I expect the SF and F to be on Saturday and Sunday. If it's the case, I'll be there. Anyone you know going there? lin 11-17-2002, 01:30 AM I know the distance between Hanoi and Hochiminh City, just don't know where you live ;) I don't know exactly if Taiwanese juniors will show up there, but it is very likely because it's Asian tourney. Also, our local juniors championship will be held this week(from 11/18), so many good Taiwanese juniors can play Hanoi . I expect and hope some juniors like Yung-Jan Chan(13 yrs) and Meng-Hua Lee(17 yrs) will show up there, because they need more experiences of playing overseas. steph_g 11-17-2002, 04:06 AM Good that you know the distance because many don't ;) . I live 15 minutes away from the place where all tourneys are held in Hochiminh City :) : Good for the S.E.A. Games December next year :D . Will Su-Wei be participating at this Junior event in Taiwan  . The tournament in Hanoi is only a grade 4. So I don't expect top junior players to attend  . lin 11-17-2002, 11:22 AM Su-Wei won't play that event, neither Chia-Jung and Chin-Wei. They're just a bit old for juniors and too good. I know the tournament in Hanoi is only a grade 4, but I think many Asian young juniors will show up there, and would be some good matches. Perhaps you can observe how good your favorite young Chinese girls if you attend ;) . BTW, do you know when next year's Asian Group Fed Cup will be held? Because when I saw an article about Angelique Widjaja, her coach didn't mention she will play Indian Wells next year... steph_g 11-17-2002, 02:44 PM I think that the dates for Fed Cup are known only later in the year. If I remember correctly, IW was at the same time as the Fed Cup world qualifying matches two years ago. And at the same time as the final Asian Fed Cup matches this year. So who knows what will be planed next year... As for Chinese Junior players, I have seen none of them yet. I hope a couple of them will be in Hanoi ;) , out of curiosity. The Chinese players I have seen so far are the most experienced ones (and therefore the oldest ones ;) ) . I usually prefer to watch "older" players as their game improves with age (in particular tactically). But there's a friend attending the tournament in Hanoi, so I'll have a look at the same time to Chinese players if they are there  . lin 11-18-2002, 12:25 PM well, I hope next year's Asian Fed Cup matches will be the same time as world group in April. And good luck to you no matter you'll attend or not ;) :wavey: steph_g 01-11-2003, 07:30 PM I like these customs avatars :D . lin 01-14-2003, 01:13 PM oh well good for you I guess ;) btw, thanks for the reply here Stéphane :) kuanghanlay 02-09-2003, 08:23 AM Yen-Hsun will leave Taiwan on Feb 13, Yeu-Tzuoo will fly to Europe on Feb 14. lin 02-10-2003, 06:27 AM thanks Grace :) but I guess it's better we discuss this in wtaworld's Asian Assault cos not so many people in atpworld... Marri 02-15-2003, 10:37 PM *stumbles in* :D :wavey: Marilyn!!!! :D how are you?? why aren't you on wtaworld anymore.... :( lin 02-16-2003, 06:15 AM :wavey: Marri :D Marri 02-18-2003, 09:22 PM Lin :D :bounce: Marilyn 02-19-2003, 03:32 PM hey marri :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: long time no see! you can always find me in the french musketeers forum :o  Marri 02-20-2003, 05:32 PM *sneaking into the french musketeers forum* yeah, it's been a while!! :D so, how are you? everything good in taiwan?:bounce: lin 02-21-2003, 07:25 AM Hi Marri :D Yes, I think you need to sneak into french musketeers forum to chat with Marilyn in the future ;) .
