Well the MD is out and we haven't have a thread yet.

A bit too bold in my title but I FEEL IT! :p

Here the draw. http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2009/422/mds.pdf

Excellent draw for Nole. Davydenko(8), Simon(9) and Robredo(15) are the seeds in his quarter.

Roddick in Federer's quarter

Tsonga in Nadal's quarter

Del Potro in Murray's quarter

While he has got a good draw in terms of quarters,he's got some tough openers,Ljubo who has come through Qualies and is playing quite well and if he gets through that, Haas(bane of his grass court season)/Isner .Now that Delpo has pulled out,Murray has a complete peach of a draw, semis at least and i'd probably back him against Fed cause i don't think he's going to peak until the US Open

Murray to complete a back to back me thinks but crossing everything it ain't so!

I guess those difficult opponents in the openers should make Nole play at his best level and improve his mental state in case of a win so I'm quite optimistic.

I'm sorry to hear Rafa and Nole will not be playing doubles together in Cincy. Although Rosie and Linda must be relieved.

I liked parts of the way Djokovic played against Andy. I'm hoping for more improvement. It's just that he has to get a little better all the time.

Sometimes I look at Djokovic and wonder if he's decided he's rather be a mid level player and enjoy his life or if he wants to be one of the elite players. I dunno. it's up to him. Personally, I'd like him to be an elite player because I'd get to see him more. :)

You're not alone though Tignor isn't good at prediction at all as far as I know . :tape: :p

http://tennisworld.typepad.com/thewrap/2009/08/cincy-preview-big-four-strike-back.html

Third Quarter

If Montreal showed us anything, it’s that the Big 4 is on the verge of becoming the Big 7. Roddick’s resurgence, del Potro’s ascent, and Nikolay Davydenko’s post-Wimbledon hot streak have created even more of a traffic jam at the top of the rankings. Throw in Murray’s new No. 2 ranking and you start to wonder: Where does that leave Novak Djokovic? He’s won almost 50 matches this year, but after his straight-set loss to Roddick in Canada he’s looking like the odd man out as he gets ready to return to one of his spiritual homes—Broadway.

It leaves Djokovic, perhaps, with more to prove than the rest of the field, and that’s when he plays his best. In Cincy, he’ll have to prove it against, perhaps, Haas, Robredo, and then Davydenko. The Serb doesn’t like the heat, but he doesn’t like being ignored, either.

Semifinals: Murray de. Federer; Djokovic d. Nadal

Final: Djokovic d. Murray

:hug:I'll blame myself if i wasn't a fan:p:lol:

I guess he'll be first on court,as all top 5 will be playing on Wednesday:eek:

Stating the bleeding obvious but would so love him to do well - want to see that sparkle in his eyes and the fire and bounce back in his game.

Once again he can't avoid playing against a big server.
Chardy or Isner, I don't know who will be better for him.

Delpo - out of tournament, Jo - early exit, Randy - against Fed. :o

Tsonga beats Nole many times but I actually like him...he's a very special personality imo...
I'd say he's the "what I could have been" type, something like Safin.
He has all it takes to be a great tennis player, but yet he doesn't focus on tennis too much imo. Still, there's something about him that makes me like him.

Stating the bleeding obvious but would so love him to do well - want to see that sparkle in his eyes and the fire and bounce back in his game.
Well said. :inlove: We all want that Nole back as soon as possible. :inlove:

He is quite agressive so I hope to god Nole will be patient tomorrow and not turns back into UE monster because he feels rushed.

Still no predictions, didn't see Nole today so that makes me probably a bit scared :p But it's Novak Djokovic we're talking about... He should win.

Is Bolelli still sitting there in the stands? :haha: I remember seeing him when I turned Novak's stream on for 5 minutes. He sure didn't bring his girlfriend.

Nole played Chardy twice this year and he won both without losing a set. But those were at the beginning of the year in AO and Marseille. Chardy is a better player now but IMO, so is Nole. So Nole in 2 sets. :bounce:
