I know that Andrei Chesnokov saved 9 match points in the 5th set of the 1995 Davis Cup Semi Final Deciding Rubber against Michael Stich.

Whats the record?

dont remember the name of the player but its from a book, hes playing in his first Grad slam final and hes up match point, he won the match with a volley but his racquet ended up hitting the net and the umpire didnt see, and the player told the umpire. Point was replayed and he lost that game, set and the match. Even though he lost a really good sign on sports manship. If anyone knows the book about him could you please tell me, thanks.

Can Isner break the open era record after saving 12?
