How does this livescore work? I didn't see it yesterday.

Is it just giving the scores once in a while?

I think - Bozoljac, Vagnozzi and Belayev wins the first sets maybe, but not in 6:0.

Ah, they updated it now again.

Bozoljac 60 61
Vagnozzi 60 60
Belyaev 60 46

Still a bit hesitant, but it's not impossible. Bozo is ofcourse a very good challenger player if fit. Lisnard losing so big is pretty strange...

Any tennis pro losing so big and fast is strange... But not impossible of course. Maybe some injury or a bad day for Lisnard and Veić.

They are updating the following matches now, so it is more likely that the scores of these first matches are actually correct.

wednesday exclusive report:

TOŠIĆ - SEMRAJC

I arrived when they were at 2/2 in the first set. Nothing special but then Tošić was serving for the set *5/4 and I have never in my life experienced such a long game folks. It was like 22 mins long. Semrajc (his fans, with mom among them, were encouraging him "ajde Johny" ) wasted 8 BP before converting it to eventual break...Tošić wasted 4 SP though. In tie-break Tošić started well with mini-break but then Semrajc won 7 points in a row :worship: In 2nd set Semrajc was serving for another tie-break, had 40:15 but he was not focused enough,...he even missed an easy smash (yes, he literally missed the whole ball, very embarassing). Tošić took advantage and broke for 1-1! Highlight of a match came in 3rd set, when Semrajc was leading *2/1. Janez served, Tošić returned the ball but glanced at the chair umpire and stood there like a statue...Semrajc converted into an easy winner. Tošić was claiming that the ball hit net, but umpire refused him silently,...that made Tošić furious and he said to umpire "C'mon man!!! Why am I playing here for three hours. That you can make fun of me?? That you can joke with me?? " He then cursed for the rest of the match, even spit in direction of chair umpire and in the end he shook hands only with Semrajc.
Our player looked very tired from the very begining of a match and was moving slowly as a snale (well it really was hot hot hot for september, but he gave impression of a dehidrated human being). When Tošić was serving, he was standing and waiting for him here and there...
lesson 1: didn't know Semrajc is serving so well  hit around 18-20 aces in this match or even more
lesson 2: Goran Tošić is serbian who got payed to play for MNG :o

BURZI - BROWN

Nothing special...Brown tanked first set to get serious in the second, but Burzi was reading his dropshots too well. Frankly, it looked to me like someone told Dustin before the match, that Burzi is slow and won't manage to get those balls at the net
lesson 1: expected jolly good fellow Rasta man from Jamaica :smoke:, got dull pain in the ass from Germany :ras:
lesson 2: Burzi obviously tries to implemetn new Italian fashion - silver shorts :help:

BOZOLJAC - KRAJINOVIĆ
Followed Filip when he was hitting with his coach. At the end of training session they must have a habit to play football/tennis with small (handball size) ball. The rule is that ball mustn't land on floor two times. As I was following Murray/Delgado - Veić/Dodig match with one eye and training session with another eye, I didn't catch all the details but Filip suddenly got mad, cursed at his coach, threw racquet to his bag, took all equipment and rushed off the court. Coach was shocked as were all of us, who followed this incident and he was shouting to him "Filip! Filip come back" (mixture of hilarious and shocking) Well I hope it was nothing serious between 2 of them and it is just a small quarrel because Filip is still only 17 yrs old.
One hour later he started match against Bozoljac. Ilija opened it with fantastic game (hold-break-hold) and then had medical timeout (in the morning one friend told me that Bozoljac injured his ankle yesterday when playing doubles). Filip managed to get his first game but soon it was all over...pain in Ilija's right ankle was too big.
lesson 1: you can win tournament, but it's not neccesary organizers will put your every match @central court next year when you return  Bozoljac-Krajinovic match was packed with audience, but unfortunatlly Ilija spoiled the big spectacle
lesson 2: Bozoljac hates Djoković family...I ate dinner with him so I can tell

P.s.: Žemlja bt. Kellner quite confortably, but Karanušić test will show his real power. Lorenzi is my tip to take the title here. He has powerfull serve, good return and good decision making. Man with the plan...

thursday report

Robert - Vagnozzi

I came when they were (or let's just say Stephane) was finishing the first set. Vagnozzi was clueless, made too many UE's into a net, but then again Frenchy didn't let him a lot of maneuvre space, keeping the ball in play and made only one double fault is my counting is correct. I like Robert, he has a good defensive game, reacts good on all kind of shots and knows when to come at net. Vagnozzi got code violation in the middle of second set when 1st Robert's serve was let and then landed close to Simone (so out). Italian was a bit frustrated because Robert had luck with net today, so he hit the ball with all strenght - ball landed out of court somewhere on car parking place. Vagnozzi was talking to himself a lot between the points, while Robert remained calm, but gave me impression as he'd be calm even if he was losing. Deserved victory indeed.

Lorenzi - Krajinović

Paolo Lorenzi (Steve Buscemi lookalike :D) played first set as I expected him to play...focused, without mistakes. Not really nice style, but certainly efficient. At 6/0 *3/0 they must have had switches in their heads, because Filip finally started to show some special moves and Lorenzi was spraying shots all over. Filip took advantage and leveled the scorline, but in 3rd again same old story. Lorenzi looked like he was joking in the second set, made some nice points, especially when Filip decided to come closer to the net. His victory was never in doubt...well of course, in last set. Filip has a very hot chick IMO...and she is defenitly older than he is :hearts:

Burzi - Semrajc

Match allured a lot of people and in the end they didn't regret to watch this one. Semrajc played probably one of the best matches in his career, had some pure shots which disarmed Burzi completly. I assume Italian also wasn't prepared for that qf match, because he didn't expect cca 500 people on the stands, rooting for Janez intensivly. No really, our guy was hitting hard and accurate, Burzi tried to follow him, but made a bunch of errors - long balls mostly. Semrajc surprisingly couldn't run out of ideas and if he plays like that tomorrow, Lorenzi's entering championship final will be far away from walk in the park.

Karanušić - Žemlja

Apart from Robert - Vagnozzi, this was the most boring match of the day  Those two have class and should play better, but were hitting like at 40% of their strenght, forcing slices all the time like practising it. If there would be entrance for this event, I'd demand my money back for sure. Karanušić was acting like he has a train to catch, but he took time to complain two times. In the first set he had something to say about reflectors, like they are shining too bright and he has problems with serving, because he looks directly into the light...few minutes later he said keeper should repair bump on court. Well, keeper really came and while he was repairing it, crowd went berserk :rolls: like he is the real star of this evening and not Roko/Grega . Anyway, it was nice to see packed stands :yeah:

He bounced back with rebreak and then brought his ship to harbour. Great performance by Grega today, hit deep shots and had fantastic movement all around. He really deserves this final. Robert played worse than yesterday, but all in all Žemlja forced him to do errors, walking him around the court. Somethimes he took Stephane by surprise on his 2nd serve as he was waiting closer to the net and then hit a nice bh with jump (he sneaked forward when Robert wasn't watching ). Whenever Grega made a mistake like mishit or double fault, president of our tennis federation shouted "dajmo Grega" (c'mon Grega) and started to clap his hands. "Ass-kissers" around him did so too and soon everbody in the stands was clapping ...I didn't know Grega is so pumped up for this tournament,...he celebrates every massive point with a loud "C'MON" or "AJDE" :) I'll keep Robert in memory as a nice guy, even though he looks like a cheese producer from Burgundy with this beard. He should've use his height better when serving though.

Lorenzi - Semrajc

Ok I confess, I was too optimistic before that one. Semrajc played level or two lower than yesterday and there's the result but anyway. This should be a good boost for him in the future. Lorenzi chose to recieve and the match was under way. Janez started with 40:00 but then lost 5 points in a row. He immediatly leveled to 1/1 but that was all from his side in the rest of 1st set. Lorenzi was in control all the time, keeping the ball in play, had some nice answers (airballs) even when youngster forced him to the edge. Johny's flat shots were clean again, but they were just too damn short, so Lorenzi (as an experienced pusher) had time to drink his macchiato, read Gazzetta dello Sport and then decide where to play forehand. Semrajc knew, that he should send longer shots and after some long exchanges he tried to do so, but it mostly resulted into longball UE. He also should use his height better - he doesn't throw the ball very high when serving...in the second set Semrajc took a medical timeout and after that he won entire point on serve and volley  In the next service point he saw Lorenzi is reading it/him to well and quit s&v. At 6/1, 5/2* when everybody knew it is all over Semrajc started to joke around with his family and friends on the stands 5 metres away from him. He was laughing between points and even pulled a Chang (yes he did, he used an under arm serve!) to make Lorenzi mad. Well he looked a little bit annoyed at least, because he was staring at Semrajc for the next 10 seconds after point with those big owly eyes. Two points later Paolo finished Johny's run, looked towards his coach and showed him index finger like he'd like to say "one more, just one more".

After the match I was close to Žemlja and president Marko Umberger and they were discussing whether to put final match at 16h or 17h. Grega was rooting for later hours because "it's not so hot anymore".

Thanks

Guess Lorenzi is the favourite in the final, but it'd be nice for the home crowd to see Grega take it.

It's a very tricky match to predict...from punters point of view I'd stay away

I just hope for a dynamic match, that's all
