Mario is still on the May 31st entry list for Queen's Club: http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=8507992&postcount=1

Hopefully he'll actually be playing! Has anyone heard any news? I suppose we'll find out in just a few days. :)

New article in our croatian newspapers saying he might miss the entire 2009. season, so he gets "protected ranking" ones he gets back.

They never said anything about the whole year conclusively  When asked if it could take the entire season, he said he can't look that far ahead and just has to listen to his body.
In any case, if in July/August he decides he needs another couple of months off, it will be the 4th USO missed in a row

:bigcry: I was just talking about it today, how if I could pick just one tournament for him to play in the entire season, it would be Wimbledon and it's safe to say he feels the same. Perhaps I should go rewatch the match with Ferrer last year for some http://www.msnhiddenemoticons.com/Library/extra_large/large_mix/default/hubba_hubba.gif grasscourt tennis, or not, I'll get depressed

He is not too sick.Right now he is not even sick.
His health testings were all more then fine.He is just suffering consequences mononucleosis had on his body, meaning: he lacks energy and stamina what is stopping him to develop into full tennis required form.
That's way he decided to take a break, cause he is not fit enough for the highest level of tennis required in Wimbledon.5 sets and all.

There's no info whatsoever right now so who knows. As soon as some appears, I'll be sure to let you guys know. I'm not even sure how he intends to decide when he's fit since it's a matter of getting too exhausted and feeling weak after playing competitive matches  I guess they'll try to exert him more and more and see how he copes.

I think that is not true, because no serious paper in our country have provided such information.
Javno is not very reliable source.
When Jutarnji.hr or sportskenovosti.hr come up with article about it then it will mean they got the information from Mario himself.
The thing is, it's so weird no papers have written a single thing about Mario for so long, like he totally disappeared.....before there was always some kind of an update regarding his health or comeback....this time, zero, nothing.Weird.

no, it's not weird because he will come back next yaer, so...

Ummm yeah, except it's totally weird no papers have written anything about his comeback ,cause in previous no-tennis times for Mario there were always new updated articles regarding Mario's comeback plan.
And you can't know when will he come back.He doesn't know that himself.

Actually, Mario's fans, today I found an article by Slobodna Dalmacija about him, and yes he confirmed he is currently working as a law intern (that lasts two years in Croatia) in Zagreb.
He said regarding his comeback; quoting " I don't know. Now I'm feeling fine, but "instruction" from doctors was no to play serious tennis until I do next health exams. And that will be for about a month. Then I will travel to America and see what the doctors say."

He said law is what he has interest in, and that he see his future doing something related to it. LOOOL (Good to know! And tell your croatian friends *not* to ask for his faux law services, you could like lose a case or ten).

And Mario, hot tennis player, not lawyer, confirmed he will be attending Davis Cup match Croatia is playing in September in Porec, as a part of the team, just for the support.

BTW Comments after this article http://web2.slobodnadalmacija.hr/Tenis/tabid/86/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/67807/Default.aspx are SO FUNNY!And true.
You guys should read them, actually I'll translate them when I find time!

All commentators are making fun of Mario and his faux law degree. They're all saying it's so gross he is still insisting on this show.
His faux law show is actually all you need to know about society in Croatia, lol.If you have money and power you could get any degree you want, hell, even do the job afterwords. What the heck.Gross.

Or if you're a super hero(SuperMario see the connection?!lol) you can learn between tennis games during practice eating bananas and on the plane, lol, what common student has to like study for 6 months 10-12 hours daily sitting at the table.
Oh Croatia, it's so lovely to meet ya, so lovely and corrupted.

Honey, in the article above you have Mario's QUOTE about comeback, and you *can* read right?
He said he doesn't know when will he come back, cause he A) isn't training at all yet B) got instruction from doctors not to do any serious tennis untill next health exams C)next health exams are in a month D) after he gets healts exams results he will only know when and bacicaly IF he can at least start to TRAIN.....comeback is in undefined future....it's possible it will be next year, ofcourse it won't be this year....but next year is a wide term.

Read what Mario said damnit.

I just disccused recently with some fellow Croatians on this site how your posts are totally always so infant that you basicaly should wait until you like become 18 years old to post, cause honey the fact you are in love (loool) with Mario really is not valid reason to only write infant stuff, so byebye sweetheart, go and kiss your Mario picture for a good night.
