dissapointing from Muller who normally goes far in grandslams, i might be wrong but i dont hink clay is his best surface. Fair play to Youzhny though as i expected this to be a real battle.
Shame on Muller fans like Glen myrini :D

Such an understatement to say that clay is not his best surface  Plus, he didn't play any lead-up events on clay. Possibly due to injury, as he hasn't played since the Johannesburg Challenger in April.

Shame why? Since when Gilles is a claycourter?

:yeah: Both Hanescu and Simon in the next rounds are perfectly passable

Who was Muller's loss disappointing to? :spit:
Gilles never won a SET in RG. Last year he didn't even play at all.
In fact, the last clay court match he won was over two years ago.
The real Casachallenger.
Against Ivo Minar.
In the first set.
'Nuff said. :D
God knows when, and if, he'll win a match on clay again in his career.
I have an obscene amount of belief in him, but even I didn't think for 1 second that he'd win this match. Well, fangirl SD of 0.13s included. :p
But, yeah, this result was never going any other way. I'm just glad he at least seamed to have put up a fight in the 1st set, that's good enough, all things considered.
Last time he played the Colonel in RG he lost way worse, bagel included.
I just hope they don't, again, schedule him on court 164 in Wimbledon. :fiery:
He's too gorgeous to never be streamed like this.

The memories of Wimbledon 2005 are coming back to me :). lol

Not Muller's best surface so it was expected.
