misbehavior from Madrid Crowd?

Why?
Just it's a latin crowd. They encouraged his #1 hero boy loudly and passionately, but always being respectful and thankful to Nole effort, even when he faced them aggressively punching his chest, on the contrary, no problem with that, this is Sparta, and gladiators & "macho men" are welcome here...

Did they are nationalist? Come on, nothing new under the sun.

Unlike many other places in Europe is very unusual to find violence in any sport event in Spain, only passion and joy so stop complains, please! :p

Maybe I would like to know your opinion about this topic?

Seriously, I have read a lot of shit about this issue here and I wonder how many people thinks that way and his reasons to do it

Should have just bumped the one where they were already talking about this.

But yeah, anybody whining about the Madrid crowd is just looking for something to cry about and should be ignored. Getting your panties in a bunch because a home country's fans are cheering on their player is ridiculous.

I partially agree with your post, but... "Just it's a latin crowd", c'mon that's a stupid topic. I've seen the crowd at the US Open behaving like Madrid's yesterday, worse at times.

I agree. Had no problem with the crowd. I thought they really started to get into it and they SHOULD support their guy. To your point, I even thought at one point, this is starting to feel like a USO night match. Which to me is one of if not the, greatest crowd environments in tennis. It just adds so much when a crowd really gets rowdy and into the match.

What about the racism in Spain? When the Spanish fans were racist to Lewis Hamilton? When the Spanish football fans made monkey-noises to Emile Heskey and Shaun Wright Phillips a few years back in a friendly match? What about when Spain's international football manager called Thierry Henry a "black shit"? What about the entire Spanish basketball team making racist gestures at the Chinese olympics?

But shhh.. its only Spain - what do you expect? Class and manners?

Shit. I had no idea that Djokovic was black and Chinese. The poor guy probably doesn't even know who his parents are.

What are you rambling on about, newbie? Have you ever been to Spain or to a Spanish football match or any Spanish sport event and seen how the Spanish fans treat the opposition?

Just because I set my flag to being from England is suddenly means that I am English - despite you having no knowledge of me?

I could be from Norway or Australia or even Brazil, but because of the flag that I have - it means that I am English?

Sit down rookie, sit down and learn. I could go into a whole row of things about Portugal - but let's leave it at that.

That is no place for that shit, but... you shouldn't believe all the antics told you the media, especially english tabloids, man. FACTS:

1) In ten years Spain has gone from being a country of emigrants to the first country in Europe to immigration reception
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_Spain

2) Spain has the highest unemployment rate across Europe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_the_European_Union#Unemployment

3) Despite all of this in Spain will not see things like this:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1553710/British-workers-for-British-jobs-says-Brown.html

Tip: Don't talk about what you don't know nothing at all

Ok, well I'm not overly interested in getting involved in what is a much discussed issue and one that always leads to Country X vs. Country Y face offs, but.. just for clarification, 'British Jobs for British Workers' never came to fruition and was taken out of context by the press; the true meaning was to try to lessen positive discrimation.

So maybe Spain won't see anything like that, but neither will the UK :)

In basel we clap for everyone and never boo a player or celebrate errors even if they're playing against roger or stan but you know something........i wish we did:devil:

as for the whole spain racism row ...i'm swiss so i'm neutral but i have to agree with the british poster to an extent, Spain is NOT institutionally racist but they can be a bit politically incorrect at times maybe because of the cultural interpretation of racism it differs from one country to the next...

Any English person bashing a foreign nation because of sport event crowd behaviour is either a clown of the highest order or an utter idiot or both. The English invented hooliganism ffs.
