Too big from the Madrid native. Next round will be his Waterloo though.

Another Verdasco-Nadal match coming up. Then, another Nadal-Novak match, and another Murray-Nadal final.

:) Nando is very consistant these days, unfortunately Rafa next, very bad draw for Nando, in the other section of the draw would advance to the final where obviously would lose to Nadal with the same scoreline like tomorrow :o

Very nice clay tennis as compared to Fed-Blake match :o
Pico  where's your gut when you serve out the 1st set?
:yeah: Another QF for Nando

Good win. H2H before this was Monaco 5-1 Verdasco, and the 1 win was on lightning fast carpet where Monaco is an utter muppet.

Well played by Nando. Impressive win. Tough match for both players tomorrow against Rafa.

pathetic display from monaco, UE every 2 shots, bad footwork, bad shot selection, poor shot making, basically he fucked up as usual.

Monaco got very tight for the points that mattered. But well played by Nando.:)

Lucasfilm still haven't followed up Verdasco's use of the 'Force' hand gesture. You'd think a company as bis as that would have been careful enough to copyright the signal. Even Kroon and Wilander had the wherewithal to patent their vicht trademark, which led (it is rumoured) to an out of court settlement when Hewitt stole it from them.

It was 4-1 in favour of Monaco and the last meeting was in 2007 when Verdasco was an utter muppet too remember;)

Give the Piggy a beatdown Nando such that he understands that he ain't the boy Spain is behind! But it's higly unlikey, with his brawn and peabrain, he'd understand though...

good thing that Verdasco is proving himself, though I wanted Monaco to win.

There were 2/3 weird rebounces that screwed completely Monaco in important moments of the match. That clay doesn´t really seem to be of good quality.

up a break in both sets and loses in straight sets
typical argentenian choking loser.

5-1. If you're looking at ATP site, it misses Miami 2004 qualifying. Verdasco got in as a lucky loser anyway though :-)

Verdasco was a muppet in 2007 it's true, but in all 5 previous meetings before then he was higher ranked than Monaco, and was still losing. Bad matchup, so pretty satisfying win for him today I'd imagine.

Too bad Pico had to lose.

Verdasco has reached QF in all five AMS events so far this year. :)
