j block in 3... mark my words, blake will end his career viewed as a natural claycourter... its where the mugs hang out these days...

lmao at the poll choices.

Blake is here to prove that Americans can play on clay....even though they clearly don't care about the surface at all. Imagine if they did....they'd dominate like Nadal. Oh well.

Love Davydenko's game...he has to fix this to lose, seriously.

Yea they're still around, especially at the USO and New Haven. There's probably a small contingent at the other American tournaments and maybe the grand slams. The USO and Pilot Pen are the only ones where I'm certain it's still pretty strong, though. I think all the T-shirt proceeds go to charity.

EDIT:

From his website (www.jamesblaketennis.com):

All J-Block merchandise and 100% OF THE GROSS PROCEEDS ARE DONATED TO CHARITY. J-Block merchandise can be purchased at all US Open Series events where James competes. To date, over $100,000 has been raised for charity through J-Block merchandise sales.

They go to cancer research through the fund he set up after his dad passed away.

Kolya couldn't have a better opportunity to get one back on Blake. :tape:

This is the ultimate test of ownage. It's not just the surface, Blake is on the worst form of his career.

If Blake wins we can already label Denko as his turkey.

Donkey is too intelligent for Mr. Harvard.

Should be interesting considering their history and Blake's new found confidence.

You would hope that Davydenko would be able to get his first win over Blake here.

Interesting that Blake has never lost to Denko. Blake is finding his form again, Denko is seems to be back where he left off....should be interesting.

I'm going with Denko in three tight sets- it is clay after all, so Denko gets his first win over Blake.

Rain delay. Play continued thereafter, but the match is suspended to tomorrow because of the darkness.
