damn u schalken.
i bet on hernych over schalken in indianapolis and schalken retires so my bet on hernych is void.
today i bet on muller over schalken and schalken quits again in the middle of a match, so another void bet for me.
complete a match you wimp schalken

edited my harsh words for schalken.

Hey Dylan, hope you don't mind if I ask you a question...

Do you ever post on this board to discuss tennis? It seems to me that you just show up from time to time to comment on your bets, usually in the negative and usually with language that would excite a prison inmate. It's kind of disheartening to someone like me, a somewhat hardcore tennis fan. I've never bet on any matches, and I have a lot of respect for all of the players in general so I could never refer to them with the names that you use. Do you actually like tennis?

dylan24
08-16-2004, 10:03 PM
yeah, i like tennis. but i like betting on tennis. just upset w/ schalken.
i didn't say anything after he quit in indy on the forums. but this is twice, so yeah i have something negative to say about him. i don't care for players who quit in the middle of matches. i think they are gutless unless they are seriously injured. i think schalken realized he was getting his ass kicked and just quit instead of getting soundly beat in the 2nd set

Well, shouldn't you give him the benefit of the doubt until you hear something about the match? Sjeng has never struck me as a quitter, he seems to be a pretty decent fellow. Washington is quite humid and hot this time of year (which is why they don't play until 4 pm each day) and he may have just been completely overcome, or he could have twisted an ankle or anything. Has he been nursing any injuries lately?

Thanks for answering. I'm glad to hear that you like tennis, and I understand your desire to vent your frustration. Can you leave the body parts out of it next time? I think that would be cool. I don't like quitters either, but I've had to retire from a match due to heat exhaustion and it's not a nice feeling at all.

Thought I'd respond to this - I saw Sjeng practicing yesterday, and after he was done, he looked totally spent, not much energy. I think he was already coming into the tournament with an injury.

Neely, wie geht es dir? :)

naja, du weißt schon was ich meine ;)

Einfach NULL CHANCE

both players choked in the tiebreaker.
todd was up a mini break 3 different times in that tiebreaker and blew all 3 mini breaks.

i remember once he was up 5-1 in a 3rd set serving 40-0 and blew the match.

wow, don't call me ignorant or something like that, but I'm not the biggest music pro going around and I don't know this song... I doesn't mean I'm not listening to music, indeed I do to almost all kinds (except heavy metal, hard rock and some others), but I really suck when somebody wants to discuss with me about great songs or if somebody is asking me "hey, do you know the song of ...." :o

but thanks for telling me, I will save that information in my brain and I will take it as further enrichment to my knowledge about Todd :yeah:

Apparently so but it has nothing to do with the words you used. Let me put it to you this way...Alex isn't playing this week so that gives me even more leeway to devote my entire concentration to the Olympics. i'm an Olympics junkie anyway because i can only really "see" some of my favorite sports every four years...so because D.C. is of little interest to me I'm not taking the time to "listen" to the Tennis.

Which brings me to: someone tell Alejandro and Gimelstob to hurry the hell up so that Dmitry can get on ;)

I didn't think that he never won ATP maindraw matches, I just meant his current "not winning ATP tour maindraw matches" streak since day X... I don't have anything against Kendrick and that's why I wish most lower ranked players some success and that's why I was not happy to see that he lost early.

Yes, this is Socket, your 100% Lleyton fan! I went to the tournament today, and saw Lleyton play! I put a short summary in Lleyton's forum. Even when Carlsen had BPs on Lleyton, I never was very worried. Lleyton served himself out of trouble when he had to. As I noted in my summary post, he didn't seem as sharp as the televised matches I saw from Cincy, but he did enough when he had to.

It's almost funny how intense he is on court. He yells at himself whenever he makes a poor choice of shot or doesn't execute as he wanted to, even when he's up 40-0.

Lleyton' s match was preceded by a tedious, 3 TB match between Sluiter and Todd Martin. It was pretty ugly out there. Sluiter let all these SPs slip away from him in the first set, and how Todd managed to lose that third set TB, I'll never know. I have never seen a player move slower on the court between points than Todd Martin. It was excruciating to watch.
