So far, as for freemasons, being a Lisnardaire had to be a secret. Rules are made to be broken. This is why this thread is gonna be created. Let's share our passion for the great guy !

Jean René is born in 1979 in Cannes, France and became a Monegasque few years ago.
Rumors says he was in a list along with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Greg Rusedski, Yuri Schukin and Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas.
The Prince Albert II chose him to represent Monaco and never regretted it.

As you know, he accumulates wins over many GOATs (this includes ex-GOATs, future GOATs, wannabe-GOATs etc...):

- Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan (Beat them both.... alone, you can check)
- Davide Sanguinetti
- Alberto Berasategui
- James Blake
- Paul Henri Mathieu
- Justin Gimelstob
- Vladimir Voltchkov
- Gustavo Marcaccio
- Robin Soderling
- Lars Burgsmuller
- Marcelo Rios
- Rainer Schuettler
- Richard Gasquet
- Martin Verkerk
- Gaston Gaudio (with a bagel, on clay in 2003)
- Stanislas Wawrinka (in Gstaad)
- Magnus Norman
- Tomas Berdych
- Misha Zverev (on Clay !!!!!!!! )
- Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer (once again he did not need a partner)
- Sebastien Grosjean
- Thomas Johansson
- Oscar Hernandez (at Wimbledon )
- Gilles Simon
- Paradorn Srichaphan
- Andy Murray
- Nicolas Coutelot
- Nikolay Davydenko
- Donald Young....

And many more to come....

Update: easily beat Crochus, who easily beat Gasquet, who used to be ATP No.7.

Other great accomplishments:
- took 5 games of in-form Nadal (Monte-Carlo MS 2006)
- took 1 game of in-form Agassi (Los Angeles 2005)
- took a set of Safin (RG 2008)
- 6 consecutive years with Monte-Carlo AMS wild-card (2006 not counted)
Wins over:
- Vinciguerra
- Volandri x2
- Llodra
- Rochus`s X3
- Malisse
- Davydenko
- Carlsen
- Don Young

But his win over Hernandez on grass sums up his legendary career :worship:

Another career highlight i forgot:
He beats Konstantinos Economidis (http://tennisinsight.com/playerid312.htm)(171,0.40) (GRE) 2-6 4-6 7-6(4) 6-0 6-0 last year in Davis cup.

Career DC record: 7W/2L
One of his two losses was by retirement against Ernest Gulbis, so it does not really count.
Lisnard, greatest DC player of all time ?

Well, I cheered for Josselin Ouanna and against Eco during their second round match.

Josselin impressed a lot in his first round match against Pablin. :) That was actually the best match of the tournament, second best being the one between Luczak and Vanek, I think. Yep, apart from the usual suspects (Pablin, Peter, Victor Cr., Marc Lo.), some "new" interesting players got my attention, Josselin, Jiri, Jan Ha., Joseph Sir., just to name a few... deeply disappointed with Ivo Minar... greek presence was expectedly negligible...

EDIT: Ooops, I thought you were referring to the Status Athens Open. Silly me, once again. :o

I think Glenn wouldn't suit there

So was it not a forum before? How does it work?

Glenn would be thrown away from there in 10 minutes. GugaF1 from here was banned by Bruno De Rossi because of constant Saretta bashing

There's this site Orkut, which is similar to Facebook, that is largely used in Brazil. There you can create "communities" which work like separated forums. One of them was the "Fúria Verde-Amarela" community, created by Bruno to be the first cheering organization of worldwide tennis. It was so funny during a long time, but I mean, I was being too ufanist and cheering blindly to all Brazilian players. Most users there were insulting foreigners which I never took part of, but I always remained quiet. In the end of 2007 it was beginning to bother me already and in São Paulo challenger of 2008 there was the big thing about the banner, which De Rossi made, sent me and I had to show in the courts. Anyway, I didn't meet the guys who were supposed to go and the banner was ridiculous, so I didn't opened it. Bruno got mad and was a little bit harsh to me so I decided to leave the community, which was already in my mind. Now I could never be part of it as I totally disagree with the things that are posted there (actually non-users don't have access anymore so I don't know how things are going). Anyway I could see the community description a month ago and it was scary hilarious stuff, like I said yesterday. It had itens like:

-It's forbidden to insult any Brazilian player;
-Brazilians are always better than foreigners, no matter what happens and who wins the match;
-Those who insult Saretta will be painfully banned from here.

That's why I said it sounded like an AIB manifest (AIB was the fascist faction back in Brazilian history).

Sure it had its nice things, it was a nice place to support the Brazilians, read funny invented stories by De Rossi (he made a legendary André Ghem US Open blog once), watch his videos of Saretta (he made one where he used a Saretta mask and riding one of those spinning bikes with an Avril Lavigne song, unreal stuff), writing the whole Brazilian hymn during Júlio Silva's GS qualy matches, following early matches from Australia with "Fúria services" like coffee suggestions and stuff or receiving SMS messages with Roland Garros scores, but all in all I couldn'y stay anymore.

Sorry for going this off-topic

People sometimes criticize him for playing for Monte-Carlo now and he reminds them then that he still pays taxes in France. They can think what they want, he doesn't care.

Interesting, isn't it? ;)

Here is a cute pic of his win over Adrian in Noumea I posted in Adrian's thread:

Yes, I find their similarities so startling sometimes, hope he can get his act together- a Guille like career would be great for him. Minus the end part.

Lizard :worship:. He's owns him actually because he is the best playeur, silly. He'd own Rafa too, if they would play.

I wanted to become a mod because i wanted to be able to have a bigger avatar...
The true story was many people did not want a mod on RG forum. Mia almost autoproclamed Mod, so someone, i don't remember who decided to include my name in the poll. So i played the game. Finally i won the poll, even when we counted only gasquetaires votes, and we finally decided, with Mia, that no mod was needed.

JR wins the first set with 40 % of first serve in and loses the second with 71 %. As usual he has to make it different than the others and pointed out how overrated the serve is for a real tennis player. I suppose he'll train to lower it less than 20 % next match just for the fun of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he serves with a Château Margaux as a racket there.

He's a bloody genius just for staying upright.

Anyway he looks a bit like Larry Sanders in that pic, and I love Larry Sanders.

4/6 0/1* probably he is tanking because he knows he will be LL.

Too much class for tanking Renaud, he was just toying with him. 4/6 7/6(4) 6/3, could well be a "Lisnard's double bagel".

First main draw match against an argie, Gaston Gaudio, atp 395. It should not be a problem for JR.

Backhand will be the winner in that match.

Pixie

yeah Gaudio is already 30 and I heard his favorite surface is grass. Shouldn't be much of a problem. Though his 2nd serve is quite good. JR will be smart enough not to play on it.

Gaudio broke in second set. Immediate rebreak. Gaston will understand what Magic means from now
