Ok - will watch for stunning blondes draped round Serbian men:D

Only Rose is blond ;)

:wavey: all.

It was fun  Shame we couldn't see half of the court because of the VIP boxes , all serbian matches are a bit confusing for the crowd, not much of us cheered too loud for one player trying not to 'offend' the other or his fans :D. It became much more competitive in the second set (both, the game and the crowd)

quick :topic: rant. you can leave this post if you're not interesting in me ranting.

*start of rant*

Just came off from a phone call with the mortage consultant about refinancing our house (because the interst rate is much lower than the mortgage rate we had from 2 years ago), I asked the right question yesterday but they gave me the wrong answer. Based on that wrong answer, we went ahead with the refinance application which cost $750. Now the document is here and we had the right answer. So we called and talked. The guy, instead of admitting they gave the wrong impression (although he would not admit they were wrong) tried to twist everything into we did not understand how refinancing in US work. i.e. saying we are the idiots in a subtle way. Even though we went thru something like these 3 or 4 times over the last 7 years.

And because of that $750 non-refundable fee, we are now stuck with that bank.

*end of rant*

~Maya~
05-06-2009, 09:56 PM
Can you call you bank and stop the check? :D

What was the question/answer?
I never heard of the ridiculous non-refundable fee. When we refinanced we had, like, 3 days to change our minds about it

OTOH, every person that walked onto the site was bombed with rules 'how to behave on court' , so maybe we took the warnings way too seriously :p

They are smart, not check but credit card. And that's application fee, they are very careful in the beginning that it's non-refundable. It's the fee for checking your credit rate, blah blah blah.

What was the question/answer?

They gave me the rate, I asked clearly is this the A.P.R. and they said yes. Now they put an excellent spin on that's not the same APR we had in mind.

Not easy to resolve because I will end up wasting money to prove they're wrong. That is, get another bank, paid the fee and show them their rate is higher because of the "misunderstanding". The other bank will have to pull our credit record which will affect our credit rating too. Although we are in excellent shape there.

Call your CC and complain. See what they say. Also, when you complained, did you just talk to the agent who did the paperwork? Maybe you need to talk to somebody above him. I just recently was looking into refinancing my house, and had them check my credit report and give me the whole draft paperwork/contract without any fee involved. After going over the contract, I decided not to do it. I have no idea what kind of company you were working with, but things sound ridiculous. You shouldn't pay anything until you see the proposed contract.

Edit: pulling the Credit report should not affect your rating much. And the effect doesn't last long. Unless you have bunch of banks pulling your C report , it should not mess you up

Good luck

Thanks!

If the money is a huge difference, I will do that. But it's not that much difference and it will be a big hassle for our time. It may end up Chase (that's the bank I am dealing with now) actually has the best deal. I have quite a temper and gets emotional easily so this kind of complain, I have to have hubby to do it and he's busy  And we both like OK you fool me this once but you'll never have the second chance to mess with us as we will never give you another business.

Edit: pulling the Credit report should not affect your rating much. And the effect doesn't last long. Unless you have bunch of banks pulling your C report , it should not mess you up

I know having one or two pulling of credit report won't be a big difference. But in the next few months, we may have a few credit reports to pull. It really sucks with this stupid system.

Ok - will watch for stunning blondes draped round Serbian men:D

:nerner: The two beautiful brunette Jelenas will doubtless back me up here, when i say the only Serbian man at the venue I am liable to be draped all over is the gorgeous Miljan :inlove: Cookie has promised to look at him adoringly at least once every 15 minutes on Friday so he does not feel left out or unadored :awww: Mind you, the guy at the chocolate stall was pretty hot too, not to mention the interviewer who interviewed me yesterday :o and the cute bus driver :o

Anyway, last night was fun, great atmosphere and nice hug at the end. Jelena got some great photos of it I think, some stupid man put his arm up right in front of me when I tried to take mine, so I just have a stunning photo of his right arm

This has been a fantastic time for me, helped so much by the hospitality, kindness and friendliness of the lovely Serbian ladies from here on MTF. Now the relatives in the back of beyond await  I will get back here when I can but I honestly do not know when I will get Internet access in the next days  Jelena x 2, enjoy the rest of the tournament, and cheer for Nole for me please. It was a pleasure to spend time with you both, and hope to do it again real soon.

The only bad thing is that I don't have the courage to ask Nole to take a picture with me,and I had so menu chances  Once I was standing in front of the locker room,he went in and out like 1000 times, and i just couldn't...OK,that's not the only bad thing...I'm standing on high heels for 7 hours, and in the evening it's very cold and I have to be in the skirt. I think if it's not because of Ziki, Dan won't play there. They were not on the entry list from the beginning. The team has played 3 consecutive weeks on clay and won all (12 matches) which is a lot for Dan who's approaching 37 years old.

So many DFs by the youngsters but the veterans are not much better. :tape:

What did Srdjan do or was it just his attitude in general

Srdjan was screaming at volunteers and even swearing them the first day of the tournament. And we didn't even know what we had to do because they couldn't tell us earlier. I mean we are doing this for free, and he can't even respect that. They couldn't even secure our personal staff. Some of the volunteers staff were stolen :o

I think this all just stemmed from the fact that she sat with vajda instead of the family at mc

Who will decide when to come back to HK? your hubby?

No! I went back to HK last year with my sister and my mom. We don't have any immediate family in HK anymore. Both parents and siblings are living in Canada except one in New Jersey. I have some cousins in HK but they also spend time in Vancouver. My hubby also has a few cousins but that's all. So, really not many incentives to visit HK. Also, we are now used to lots of space here so even we stay in hotel, it's still a bit crowded and not enough space :o
