Normally, Nadal should win easily seeing his form and considering that the russian has been injured several months. If the weather gets wet, Davy will have some chances, but seems impossible that Nadal looses a game in clay.

Under normal circumstances Davydenko could take a set off. After just coming back from injury, he might not even be able to do that.

Davydenko laughs off his chances of beating Nadal eurosport.co.uk

BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) - Russia's Nikolay Davydenko laughed off his chances of beating claycourt king Rafael Nadal in Saturday's Barcelona Open semi-finals.

Davydenko, who made the last four here in 2005, has the unenviable task of ending the world number one's 23-match victory run on clay.

"Say the odds are 100 percent for Rafa," the Russian joked when pressed to predict how he would fare against the Spaniard who has won the last four editions of the tournament at the Real club.

"You never know about tomorrow, but I'm not going to worry about it now. I'm going to relax and enjoy my life."

Nadal in straight sets.

It's quite likely that one set will last an hour and end in a tie-break, and then the other set will be 6-2 or 6-1.

Nadal in 2.

Davydenko has the goods to make this an interesting match. Unfortunately, if history is any indication, he will fold if it ever gets tight.

In other words, grab Nadal to win 2-0 @ 1.30 before the Russian mafia reduces it to 1.03 overnight.

Spot-on post. Davydenko takes the ball early and this lets him control the rallies against Nadal better than other players, but he is too mentally weak to be a genuine threat.

The clay seasons continues to be even more dull than ever.
