Of course Nalbandian had a double break in the 2nd, but couldn't serve it out, though second time around he held to love.

Problem now this place will go over the top with massive hype and Nalbandian will gain some more fans if he manages to pull it off.

Looked pretty routine from the scoreboard, in the past Nalbandian had trouble with Mucho's serve.

Now David is facing the winner of Nadal vs. C. Rochus.

Yes, el cabezon in their previous two matches served very well mixing his heavy kickers with the big flat one to keep Nalbandian off balance.

Almagro had two escapes this week from Hanescu and Chela, not today and Nalbandian won't ask for Nadal's autograph like Almagro would before the match.

C.Rochus leads 1/0 against Nalbandian.
Surely David prefers playing against nadal.

Expected, since Dave looks to be the more solid of the two at the moment (no pun intended ).

oooooh what a match in prospect!!!!!

Nalbandian lost the mental edge over Nadal at IW after blowing all those match points. He will probably not beat Nadal on clay or ever again.

good win for Nalby :yeah:

You are so going to be disappointed by tomorrows match. Of course I haven't seen how David played in his last 2 matches, thanks to Spain TV great coverage of this so called 500 event, but judging from stats his serve is even worse than it was in MC (today looks a little better but still nowhere near good enough). So awful serve, clay in Spain, I am afraid that this time he is going to be humiliated.
But then again it is Nalbandian we are talking about, with him absolutely nothing is certain.

don't think nalbandian will be destroyd...he won't win,,,that's no big deal

I don't think that he will never beat nadal again...especially the end of the season where nadal plays usually not that good

Does anyone really think Nalbandian has the mental strength to compete with Nadal over an entire match on clay? He might come up with a few brilliant points here and there, but the end result should never be in doubt.

Now David is facing the winner of Nadal vs. C. Rochus.

let me guess

the heavier one prevailed

Nalbandian better not be tired after two matches...

04-23-2009, 07:47 PM
Mugro losing this way to an injuried guy  :help:

04-23-2009, 07:59 PM
Nalbandian will probably retire before the match.
