Hello people of the world. I'm back from the Netherlands. I'm so tired.

Nelly Furtado? It's been a while she doesn't have a hit. I read somewhere she breastfed her daughter for 2 years!!! Hehe

I'm just here today to say hi. I hope our Andy can finally beat Murray today. It's about time he wins a big title.
:wavey: welcome home, did you have a good time? :)
Haven't you heard maneater? it was number one over here a few weeks ago and it's played quite a lot on the radio! and her new song, promiscuous, is coming out soon as wel! :p
I hope Andy can win too! :D

I am going to the state fair tomorrow. I will eat broasted chicken and roasted corn on the cob, and a funnel cake at the end of the evening. I will taste a few award winning wines. I might have a corn dog. I will have sore feet at the end of the evening, but I probably won't care. :)

I know she has a hit in the charts now. :) I was referring to the long time she's been away, something like 4 years. She had an album out based on traditional Portuguese music a couple of years ago but it was a flop.

funnel cake? :scratch:it's called different things in each part of the country, but it's fantastic everywhere! In the northeast we call it fried dough, and in the soutwest, it's Indian Fry Bread, but basically it is just dough that is fried  and then you cover it with stuff - I like just powdered sugar, but some places will do fruit and other things. it's pretty fantastic. I don't remember the last time I had some :( If you see in the pic it is like swirly, that's b/c they actually put the batter into the fryer using a funnel, hence the name funnel cake ;)

I like my funnel cake with chocolatey things. This particular vender does a bavarian cream one that is just lovely. Sometimes I get the strawberry one and my husband gets a chocolatey one and we share. It's a calorie fest, with deep fried batter, toppings, whipped creme and powdered sugar. You have to eat it warm or it loses some of the "crunchy but soft, warm but cool" yumminess. I'm getting hungry already...

My husband is the corn dog fan, me not so much. If they are poorly made, they are lame, but the good ones are worth a taste. I don't think I've ever had one of my own, just a bite or two of his. Maybe I'll discover a new food to try this year. :)

www.bigfun.org if you are curious.

:secret: Deb, you can get funnel cake at IHOP now, but I haven't tried it. You might be able to get it at the LA County fair, I've heard that's a pretty decent event, but I've never been. :)

All??? Wow...I never had classes at night.well, 3 out of 4. the 4th is on Saturday morning lol. night classes are pretty popular in the US. Lots of people work and go to law school... also, like in undergraduate university, people do so many activities and things during the day that lots of electives are at night too and a lot of specialized classes are taught not by professors employed by the school but by people in the industry (like my class tonight) so they have to be at night b/c they work all day in their real jobs :)

 they would probably be perfect for me since I'm pretty much nocturnal! but I love having my evenings free to either do my work or go out or just relax! :)

 School forces me to be diurnal but I still manage to stay up late anyway so basically Jace + school = no sleep. :p Ideally my classes are between 11am to 5pm so I can still sleep in some and I still get free time after 5pm....because if I'm still in class after 5 my mind starts to wander (not that it doesn't during any time of the day but yeah ;))

that would be my problem. the only thing my brain can withstand at night is recreation
I can work if I have to, sometimes I do homework and stuff but that kinda thing is something I can put off if I don't feel like it, whereas a class would obviously be compulsory and I don't think I'd like that!

well I don't actually have any night classes so Jo + school = no sleep as well! ;) I'm not too sure of my timetable for this year but last year I was generally in at 9/10am so there weren't too many lie-ins for me! and both of my 9ams were the days after the nights we usually go out so I'd only have 3/4 hours sleep then! :o 11am start on a friday was amazing though! I had one day which was 10am-6pm and that was hard, by the time my 5pm french class arrived, i just wanted to go home! :sobbing:

I had a class that was from 3:30-6:30pm a couple years ago and my roommate didn't know my schedule and didn't see me back til like after 7 so he wondered where the hell I was. I told him I was still in class...you should have seen the shock on his face. I don't have a car in Berkeley and I hated the 30 minute or so breaks between some of my classes because it's always difficult for me to decide whether I should walk all the back to the apartment or not. :o It takes me 20 minutes to walk to classes sometimes but hey, at least it was some good cardio put in. :p

last year I had to walk 40 minutes to get to class! :p and sometimes more on the way home since it was uphill! :o so even though on my 10-6 day I had a 3 hour gap and a one hour gap, it wasn't worth going home, that was annoying! this year it should only take me 15/20 minutes though because I'm living closer :D

I was sitting behind Jess, Addy, Es,Rebecca and I believe you were there too at the Massu-Kiefer match. My son Nate and I were about 3 rows behind you. I remember Jess most vividly as she was waving the flag. Of course I did not know who anyone was then but after seeing pics of Jess and the Twins I was like whoa! Even Nate remembers Jess;)

I don't think Jess had the flag  The German flag? Essy Addey & I were holding it. Did you say anything to us? I guess even if you did I would not remember cuz I was so enthralled with Kiwi. :p He had my full attention, as you can imagine ;)

Are you honestly going to tell me with a straight face that Paris Hilton doesn't dye her hair?

Don't even have to ask about Ann Coulter, the roots lead the way

 Seems pretty obvious to me :) Plus, most people born naturally blond are not blond anymore by the time they hit their 20s unless they're Scandanavian.

Look the thing about blonde hair is that very often looks darker. Water, greece, product, lighting can all make it look significatly darker in some areas, epecially the roots. Now I never said that those ladies didn't dye their hair, that would be stupid. But, that doesn't mean they're not still blonde, many blondes can have a dingy look to their hair (when they get older) that begs for tampering. Those specific ladies may or may not be natural blondes, but you really can't tell from a picture, especially when you know they tamper with their color.

Scandanavian? Right.

Not a word. I did not know who anyone was then. Jess and I started talking here on MTF soon after and that's when I realized who you all were. Looked like you were all holding the flag actually. And was your hair a light brown then? To me that would be blonde;)

Jo- those were the T shirts Nate designed the logo for. It is a graffitti logo of his name. The hot pink and white is a bit of a joke on his mom :p The hat as thrown in by the folks who printed the T's. Again his name in a phrase that he wanted.

There's a rather silly girl on MTF called Mae who just moans aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the time about silly things. Her favourite thing to moan about is vcash, which she gets very passionate about, her life is not worth living if vcash isn't running correctly. That's about all there is to know :o

:rolls: ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............

Let me ask the optician when he's finished with his current patient

adee-gee
08-26-2006, 02:13 PM
Ok apparently it's when the iris gets inflamed, there's no specific reason why it could happen it just sometimes does. He said it can be very painful, and the way to treat it is to go to a specialist and they'd give them anti-biotics most probably.
