Vass 05-12-2004, 05:37 PM study is really a serious topic...I just survived an exam this afternoon...god bless me poor girl! and my motivation is only my interest. I survived two exams today. Literature and maths. I haven't touched literature. And maths...I studied only half a day (and I forgot how to do maths, in 10th grade). Tommorow I'll have Physics - first part. I'll study it in the few hours in the morning tomorrow. I'm good in it. junekidd 05-13-2004, 01:41 AM hi,vass, I also had maths exam yesterday, but fortunately, I recited a similar exam paper before.;) u are so great! I have not taken two exams in one day for a long time. it's really a terrible experience. bless you! I'm glad to hear that u are good at physics. that's my most awful subject! good luck! alita 05-13-2004, 02:52 AM GOOD LuCK! Vass! Maths and physics, umm^^" these two subjects are difficult to me, but fortunatelly, I no need to study that in colleage.;) ;) One important thing I need to do now is to see as many advertisements as I can. u know, I'm major in Ad. And I find the foreign advertisement are very humorous and attractive :) maratski 05-13-2004, 08:02 AM sending positive vibes to vassily PennyThePenguin 05-13-2004, 02:15 PM VASS! ALL THE BEST FOR THE EXAMS. what i don't understand though is how come u're good at physics but not at maths? or maybe u're good with the theory? i smell an einstein somewhere...I SUCK at physics. explains why i've washed my hands off it for good. 4 years was more than enough. moonlight 05-13-2004, 03:57 PM Good Luck with your exams, Vass & Fatty! :) :wavey: Jiat, I suck in physics too, it is my least favorite subject! Vass 05-13-2004, 04:57 PM Thanks guys! I had the best physics paper in my life today. I made some STUPID mistakes, which I realised one second after submitting the paper, and lost 4 marks of 70 (this was paper 1). But the paper was the easiest! (maybe it was the lucky key chain? I was playing with a key chain during the 5 minutes that I studied, and decided to take it for luck... It worked.) Jiat, the answer to your question is... Well I was one of the best in Math's until grade 10. In grade ten, I STOPED listening in class and I just got to the point of "did-we-study-this before??!!" on tests. But I do understand maths when I listen. Physics was never tough for me. Don't understand how it might be tough. I have a paper with a list of all the physics formulas that I ever saw in my life on it...I look at it before the exam and that's it. I read the theory a few times, I followed the logic of the matter and I remembered it forever. The subject I absolutely suck at is chemistry... I guess because I don't study it enough. PennyThePenguin 05-14-2004, 07:58 AM lucky you. my fave is biology. it just makes more sense to me than physics. haha... as for chem, i'm ok with it, i HAVE TO. if chem and bio didn't make sense to me, i'd be dead cos they're the fundamentals of pharmacy. haha... PennyThePenguin 05-14-2004, 08:01 AM not sure where to put this so i'll just put it here. it's from the "ASK MATS WILANDER A QUESTION" thingy. Having worked with Marat Safin, what are your thoughts on him teaming up with Peter Lundgren? Laura, UK I think they're a really good team actually. Safin is a little bit like Roger Federer in that he's really talented. If anything's missing it's the mental stability. When he plays well he plays unbelievably well, but he has to be a little bit more patient when he doesn't play well and I think Federer is the same kind of player. What I found hard (coaching him) is that these guys need to learn the game of tennis themselves - it's really hard for someone from the outside to tell them or explain to them. I think Lundgren did a great job with Federer in that he just let him develop in his own time and hopefully with Marat Safin he still has a few more years to be able to do the same thing. Vass 05-14-2004, 09:31 AM My luck key strap worked for the second time. My French exam (and I don't know a word in french) was about Riger federer, at least the reading comprehension part! I wasn't studying yesterday, but was daydreaming of how it would be if the exam was about Marat. It wasn't about Marat, but Federer was good enough. And what a coincidence is it that I visited his official site for the first time just a few days ago? Aurora 05-14-2004, 11:29 AM Dude! that is lucky indeed! Just like me, I was the kind of student who would study just enough and got lucky time and time again... AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! draw's out! and tatiana's name pulling exhibit turns out to suck big time... Aurora 05-22-2004, 10:50 AM It doesn't necessarily have to suck, Marat needs to prove himself and will get rewarded big time if he does. I'm not sure what Calleri's state is, so I'll remain careful but confident, it's gonna be tough but Marat is capable. I'm just curious what mental wave he's riding, I guess it helps knowing what's ahead so he can be prepared instead of an unknown danger emerging unexpectedly. (I'm quite good at turning this thing around huh?) Aurora 05-22-2004, 10:51 AM And as Ilhame has said somewhere: getting past Calleri will be an achievement an sich. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. PennyThePenguin 05-23-2004, 02:39 PM hehe lilly...i'm always negative about draws. it's a "superstition" thing... i was optimistic abt dina's draw last week. and look at what happened. it's just me. sorry. but yeah, t gives marat a chance to prove his worth and to prove that his head is more or less screwed on straight. junekidd 05-23-2004, 04:37 PM in fact, the draw means nothing indeed! if marat want to get easy draw by being a higher seeded player, he is wrong. now it's really a nice chance to prove himself! to win the title always needs more struggle and luck. he must fight on court for each point, each game and each match! come on marat!!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: Catsou 05-26-2004, 12:57 AM :aparty: :aparty: Bonne Fête Ilhame! :aparty: :aparty: :bdaycake: :bdaycake: I wish you everything you desire dear have fun!!!!!!!!! :bdaycake: :bdaycake: Hope you'll have a wonderful B-day and you will eat plenty of cake and laugh and dance with all your family and friends around! :yippee: :bigclap:  :yippee: :bigclap:  PennyThePenguin 05-26-2004, 01:39 AM HAPPY BIRTHDAY ILHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! have a GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! merle 05-26-2004, 07:13 AM HAPPY BIRTHDAY ILHAME!!!!! :aparty: :aparty: :bdaycake: Jessi 05-26-2004, 07:38 AM :kiss::kiss:HaPpY BiRtHdAy IlHaMe!!!:kiss::kiss: http://a657.g.akamai.net/7/657/2865/v001/www.virtualflorist.com/en/act/images/items/wish.gif Aurora 05-26-2004, 08:02 AM :aparty: :bdaycake: VAN HARTE GEFELICITEERD MET JE VERJAARDAG!!! :bdaycake: :aparty: Geniet van de dag en ik wens je alles toe in je 24e levensjaar waar een meid maar van kan dromen! tall_one 05-26-2004, 11:30 AM http://www.mainzelahr.de/smile/party/00003639.gif Happy Birthday Ilhame!!! My Dad had a minor stoke (in a form of jumping blood pressure, headaches, and a bursted capillary in one eye) I think and it seems that he'll be subjected for a lot of testing. The worst part it might not be a stroke but heart problems, kidney problems or liver problems. Anyways, don't worry that much (I know you'll do anyway). He seems to be very fine. An amuzing part about that is that he's a very hard aptient. It took forever to send him to a doc. I wonder why some people are like that. They don't want to achnowlege the fact that they are ill... My Grand Ma is the same. When she had a burst appendix twenty years ago she said that the pain was nothing and that she'll walk it off while cleaning the house. :) junekidd 07-02-2004, 04:53 PM oh...I have to say that sorry to hear that, vass...I hope everything will be better soon! and I think all the people think that they are really fine even they have been ill. PennyThePenguin 07-21-2004, 02:20 AM i'm sooooooooo bored. i'm currently attempting to plan my timetable for next semester and it totally sucks. i've got 3 courses that are essential cos they're my pharmacy courses and i've to pick 2 more. the problem is i've got to try to fit 2 courses that i like and actually wouldn't mind taking, into my pre-existing timetable skeleton already clogged up by my 3 essentials. problem is, all the modules i like either have class times that clash with my essentials or exam dates that clash. and those i don't like...well... what's the point of looking at them then... URRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sorry for the rant. that feels better. Vass 07-23-2004, 09:14 PM Guys I just wanted to tell ya'll that I'll most probably be leaving to Russia tommorow. I'm going to see my Grand parents and cousins for the first time in about 6-7 and in the case of my Grand-pa 13 years... I wonder how it'll be. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you in advance. tall_one 07-24-2004, 12:47 AM You haven't seen your grandpa in 13 years! http://smileys.******************/cat/29/29_1_15.gif OMG I can't imagine going that long without seeing a (living) grandparent. Heck I lived with my grandparents during the summer for a few years PennyThePenguin 07-24-2004, 01:48 AM wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where have they been? or you for that matter...wait...don't answer... i think i know...dubai? Vass 07-24-2004, 09:57 AM wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where have they been? or you for that matter...wait...don't answer... i think i know...dubai? Yeah, and when I went to Russia I always went to Moscow, which is about... a few thousand kilometers away from my closest relatives. PennyThePenguin 07-24-2004, 03:07 PM why then vass... why go to moscow everytime? oh well... i know that's a stupid question, but nvm, u can answer it too...i'm bored remember? Aurora 07-24-2004, 09:56 PM Wooow, I've been partying real hard the last week!! I've been browing the forum a bit, just quickly reading in between. Anyhoo, I hope Marat's return can get me back into tennis 'cause it seems to me there wasn't much real interesting stuff on the tour lately. Could be just me. Probably. Vass 07-25-2004, 01:52 PM My holiday has a delay. The cheap airline hat's the only one that flies to my grand parent's place messed up and sold 10 extra tickets. As a result they had to ask someone to volunteer not to go this week. They took 7 hours get 8 people out and I couldn't volunteer because I was flying only with my brother. It would have lasted forever unless I called my parents and they told me to not to fly. Agh, I stayed up all night just for that! And the rest were so happy that 10 people volunteered that they didn't care to unload my baggage off the plane before they flew alway. Now I have one pair of pants, two t-shirts, and 1 pair of shorts. That's for one weak, until the same plane returns to UAE. PennyThePenguin 07-26-2004, 02:12 AM erm. vass... u might not even get your clothes back on the plane. they might just dump it there for you...oops...i'm not depressing u am i? Vass 07-26-2004, 03:42 PM erm. vass... u might not even get your clothes back on the plane. they might just dump it there for you...oops...i'm not depressing u am i? I though of that. In that case I get 20 x 20 dollars (20 dollars per kg of baggage), that is 400 $. For that money I'll buy ten times more clothes than I put into the bag. PennyThePenguin 07-27-2004, 07:50 AM oh...that's nice...well...start hoping they dumped ur baggage there then...hehe... Vass 08-03-2004, 07:52 PM Okay, who can tell me wher all the Safinaholics from here went? I haven't heard of Kiara and many others for God-knows-how long now. BelgianWaffle 08-03-2004, 08:12 PM I know! It's been quiet in here for a while now.. Maybe everybody's gone on holidays ;) CassL 08-03-2004, 10:40 PM Hi, I'm a new Safin fan. Actually, not new for I've discovered him for quite some time now. It's just my first time posting here. :) Shadow 08-03-2004, 10:44 PM Hi and welcome :wavey: What made you discover him? CassL 08-04-2004, 03:27 AM The first time I saw him was in 2000. I didn't know what tournament it was because I didn't follow tennis. I just saw this gorgeous guy playing tennis and couldn't take my eyes off of him. The next day my tutor even said something about watching a hot Russian guy play tennis. I was like, Oh my God, we're talking about the same guy here. I was a little obsessed afterwards and searched him on the internet. I found out that he was number 2 at the time and I was like, "Wow, that means he's gorgeous and talented!" However, my obsession diminished after a while and I didn't really care afterwards since tennis wasn't really my thing. That is until this summer I saw a lot of the Wimbledon coverage and remembered that guy four years ago. I'm more interested in tennis now. I've been on my school's tennis team for two years and love watching the games. Actually, I love watching all the guys play. But my favorite is still Safin because he holds a special place in my heart. :) merle 08-04-2004, 07:32 AM Welcome CassL!
