They started last night, with making the chatthreads in NT disappear, they continued with player forums later. I really am a little upset about this, I know it's stupid because it's only an internet forum. But this thread is a bit of my life, I have so many reports written in them, things about my life. It's about how we got our friendship. And simply having a different one with the same title is not the same.

Yuk, the threads are not deleted, they are simply out of sight. Don't worry if they never come back in sight, of the 1800 pages of 40 posts a page, Steffi and I got about 1600 save. So only about 200 are lost.

I am not sure what to do. I don't feel like posting in this thread started by those &#^*$@ Moderators. Or simply start our own new home.

I am looking forward a lot to the easter weekend. Not thanks to easter, but because Paris-Roubaix cycling course is. My favorite one day course of the whole season :bounce:

It's not about the title, you can give any thread the same title. It's about the memories. This thread doesn't have memories... it's just a thread. The other was our home, like Yuk said :)

It is, but it's cool to watch. A lot of accidents, fallying cyclists. A lot of material problems. And you have to be real strong to finish it. But even without rain it's a really tough match. They call this course "The hell of the North". But it's beautiful to watch. This is what it should be like:

Yes i Read twilight i liked it a lot its well written, a bit repetitive in the way she describes the characters and their reactions

I see... I felt like reading it at first, then I heard it was a hype, and I didn't want to read it anymore. After I saw the movie, I liked the story. I hear several bad comments about the book as well. But I did this test on facebook, "which book are you" and it said I am twilight. So I looked it up at the net to read a bit more about it, saw the covers of the books and loved them. Now I am in doubt if I should read it or not :p

Thank God i heard about the book ages ago before it became what it is today :o

 yeah a movie can be real bad for a book. But I should give the book a try, I will get it at the library once I have finished the English book I am reading now. :)

Have you read book 3-4-5? :)

Rita
04-10-2009, 05:46 PM

Rita
04-10-2009, 06:01 PM
Hold on :o
I think i only read 2 and 3 yeah
and like i said 2 was the most annoying book ever i think i pretty much skipped teh opening chapters it got better towards the end but it was just very disapointing and it made me hate Edward (his attitude in that book was just annoying and i hate guys that try to control their gfs :smash: )
The third one was good better than the second :p but it was disapointing because there was meant to be a fight between the vampires and i was looking forward to a really good fight but we only saw the fight through Edwards eyes and it just wasnt as exciting you know what i mean?

the Fourth one i havent read :) i don't think there's a fifth one unless its the one with the story being told from Edward's point of view which is just like the first one but from a different point of view

I hope that made sense :p

Talking about books i must remember to go to the library tonight to return some.

Nymeria
04-11-2009, 03:28 PM
Good that you mention it, I should write down the date I have to return my book to the library.

In the book I am reading now (The book of air and shadows) they are writing about writing in code, that is quite interesting. I never thought about such easy way of writing in code, but still it's almost impossible for others to find out what you've written unless you have got the key. I like such things.

Rita
04-11-2009, 03:32 PM
Who wrote it? are you reading it in Dutch?

Nymeria
04-11-2009, 03:35 PM
Nope I'm reading it in English, it's written by Michael Gruber :) I loved the title, so I simply ahd to buy it. but often when I buy a book like that, I put it on my shelves and I forget about reading it

:wavey: thought I'd continue the chat here :D

What do I do to relax? Listen to music, read a book, watch a non-action movie, cycle for a few miles or just simply have a chat with my friend over the phone. Speaking of books I have finished reading the kite runner- and it was amazing...a very gripping story in my opinion :worship:. It had me nearly crying at one of the chapters :awww:

That's better indeed :) When I post in the other thread I feel like interrupting, I never felt home chatting there.

Yeah that's what I like as well, music, watching a movie. And definitely going for a walk or cycling is relaxing. Or writing my own book, definitely helps relaxing as well. I felt like writing again lately, but I haven't written anything yet. Maybe I should write a little tonight :)
Just like everybody, so it definitely is a must read book. And it simply belongs on my bookshelves, so I will buy it any time soon. But I haven't finished the two books I am reading yet. Grr, there are simply too many books, I wish I could get time with them, to read.

OMG Rita  Wow, that you could "feel" that!

Did you have a nice night? :)

i really think i have a connection with rog i also remember last year during his second round match at MC i was in English but i knew he had won the first set but for some reason i got really nervous ad i knew something was not going right in the match so i asked to be excused of English class (i said i wasnt feeling well :o) just to go to the lubrary and check the scores on a computer and he was down 4-0 in the third :sobbing:

Maybe it was just a weird coincidence but i like to think that i have a connection with roger

I had an ok night. I was still very tired because once again i dindt sleep well the night before and also on our way to a party (it was another baptism :spit:)we got lost :o so we spent like 2 hours in the car going in circles :rolls: and then we found the place it was already 1 am and i was really tired but i still had fun cause there was this guy that was dancing in a very funny way the whole night and the dj kept playing the same song for like 15 min it was really hilarious cause everyone was getting fed up but in a funny way :lol

I wish that could be arranged. Somehow linking the threads and adding the posttotals together. Once the threads are back I will make such list in one of the early posts in the thread. Maybe not for all posters, but at least for the main posters You, Steffi, Nienke, maybe even Nathy and Sophie and of course the new main posters Rita and Nadine as well. I really enjoyed the book I finished yesterday, "the book of air and shadows" by Michael Gruber. It's a thriller about some people who are on a deadly chase after a lost play of Shakespeare. Really nice written.

Have you read books by Jonathan Safran Foer? He is a really good writer, really good in playing with languages. If you like language, you should read "Everything is Illuminated."

I look at my bookshelves while I write this... there are simply too many good books

Most probably I will, it depends a bit on the schedule of play of course. I won't have to work every day this week, maybe only tomorrow morning. So I will have a lot of chances to watch :) :yeah: But I won't post too much in the cheering threads, I am not that much into them anymore :)

You found a new job? Congrats :D

The cheering threads can get a bit :ras: when Roger is down a break or a set, but generally it lets me get my emotions out.

It is only temporary, and not very interesting. But it gave me some money :)

Yeah that's true, when it's an exciting match I like to write there once in a while as well :) Actually you made me restarting there again. And the both of you made me restarting more in the other threads in Fed forum. :)

Thanks :) Yeah, and it's nice to work for this company for a few weeks. I used to work here last summer, so I know the colleagues already. It's as if I've never been away, still have lots of fun with them! :yeah:

And another thanks for thinking my comments and opinions are insightful

Ancic... I never followed him too much, as you know. He seems nice, always taking time for photos :) But it's been a while since I saw him. It's not that he made a marvellous impression to really make me change my opinion about him

My friends got photos with him and I asked a portret photo, he took time for that. I indeed have seen him being a little arrogant as well. But there are more players like that. I have been quite a big fan of Coria, he was quite a runaway from fans as well. It didn't make me like him less, because I cheered for his on-court personality :)

Oh OK, that's good to know :yeah:. I think I can take his arrogance in exchange for his on court game and demeanour :p. Coria hasn't been playing a lot recently, is he back on tour?

I know Roger is nice with fans. He really does spend a lot of time signing autographs and even talking to his fans after practice sessions, giving smiles as well. Is that the impression you got from him also?

I haven't really followed his comeback, I know he played some matches. But he ain't really back. I would like it though. Maybe in the clay season?

Roger is great, but it's hard to compare him to Ancic. Roger will almost always have a whole load of fans around him. He can't take time for them personally, he'll just take some time to sign. I met Roger a few times during the years, he always took time to sign, smiled, said a few things to the fans. I was lucky to catch him once on a moment there were no fans around him, because I had special tickets. And he was definitely friendly, smiling.
Still it's hard for me to compare it to some other great happenings I had at tennis tournaments, you know... sometimes it's hard to compare things like with Marco, who has all time for the fans, who will take like 10 minutes (at least) to talk to one fan only. Roger can't really do that...

Yeah I see what you mean. Obviously Roger will have a lot more fans/media around him because of all that he has achieved and his status within the sport. But it's nice to know that he still takes a bit of the time out to give something back to the fans. He can only do so much, as you say, but those fans would certainly appreciate it.

With Marco I guess it's an advantage in a way not to be so famous and ranked highly. He plays a lot of small tournaments and challengers where the interactions with fans is greater and there is that special atmosphere. He seems to be a great guy from the stories you told me and it must have been a pleasure for you as a big fan to have a chat with him :yeah:

I think with a topplayer like Roger, he simply has to. It's usually extremely crowded around him. He should realize as well that if he takes some time, they will let him go easier. If he doesn't, they will only make it more annoying. And they gotta do something for their support :) But what I like about Roger is that he usually does so with a smile, not behaving as if he has to :)

It's like that with most players also at the bigger tournaments. I indeed like it more that it's easier to reach them. That's also how you become a fan of them, because they take time for you or because you have a great or funny experience with them. (oh and Marco has of course that wonderful smile combined with his beautiful eyes :inlove: :p)

Hell yes, Marco is a real cutie :hearts:. I wish I could see him on TV or on a live stream a bit more :awww:, he has to qualify for every big tournament from now on and get his ranking up :armed:/:angel:

Yeah it would be cool if we could get to see him more often, he has the game to reach top100, sadly so far his body didn't help and he got injured every time he got close to 100 :awww: I like it that he's that cute and still that friendly

Most probably it'll mostly be having a drink somewhere and having a quick walk around through the shops  I am not planning to buy anything, but you never know of course. :)

Have you found good information about the subject already? :)

At least I won't be on mtf to keep you posting instead  But try not to watch a movie, or at least combine it. Working on your powerpoint while watching...

Good you think it's interesting! and that you found a lot of information :) Is it also reliable information, the non-blog sites I mean? Are you allowed to use sources of the internet only, or do you also have to use other sources?

Sounds like a perfect plan :yeah:

Are you planning to follow any of the matches today? Simo is about to start playing now, he's on an outside court, but at least I can follow livescores

We always had to use books and magazines as well, not just websites. That was quite annoying, because it meant we had to go to the (school) library

I can understand that you don't care anymore, I still got simo in, so I have to care... Simo on clay is :inlove:

Yeah :awww: luckily I'll have a chance to see him live on clay in about a month. I will for sure go two days to Düsseldorf, maybe even more :)

If he wins his next match would be on a televised court. But I have no idea if I'll be at home then :awww:
