The first thread was closed because it exceeded the recommended 5000 posts. Part two started.

VB message board does not handle large threads well.

Okay, explain this to me: this forum also has a thread with 13000+ posts, it's still open. And "the recommended 5000 posts"? Recommended by who?

FerrersLinda

Please ignore me, as most people do anyway;), I've only just found the thread explaining this.

Sorry

So .......... lets revive part II!:)

Ali, I'm sure since we're both slightly without a job we should have some time to revive this forum. Remember the good old days when the Ferrer forum was renowned for the most posts a day?

Hello! So I see a revival is definitely possible. Ali why are you going to Barca?:aplot: Didn't you get forcefully removed from that tourney a few years ago, for stalking a certain T. Robredo?

Anyway ladies, I'll be checking in a lot more often in the next days to see if there's somebody around. Would be lovely to get this forum a bit more busy.:)

Oh you Tommy lovers.;) The poor man, I almost feel sorry for him.

Yeah, Barcelona is a great city. Are you going alone Ali or is your cripple boy coming with you? Either way, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Talking about Barcelona, their team plays today. Nothing really that can go wrong. Liverpool on the other hand, they have loads of work to do, because I do expect them to knock Chelsea out.:(

Any player should be ecstatic to have me as a fan. As I'm sure they are.:p

The Barca match is mainly rough. Really not that interesting. But I'll stick to it, I like to watch Toni struggle.:aplot: And when that starts to get boring I'll just watch Puyol's hair, always entertaining.

Go Liverpool!!!

At the moment I have full time weekend and believe me, it doesn't quite live up to expectations.:awww: Although it's great to be able to watch all the tennis and football.

football is a stupid game :fiery:

 I'm sorry. I was really looking forward to a Barca-Liverpool semi. Now we have to play stupid Chelsea. And I'll have to watch Drogba nearly die about 10 times a minute.

I actually change the channel to watch the last 15 minutes of the Liverpool-Chelsea match because it seemed so much more interesting than the Barca one.

Crazy tournament this one. Lets just skip right to the trophy ceremony where they hand Rafa the check.

I feel like the ultimate desperate housewife, playing tennis every day this week except for Monday when I had my first ever tai-bo class. Not sure how I feel about that yet. I have another on tomorrow. Hope the instructor is a little bit less in-my-face.

Nope, according to the Muppets on Sky Murray is going to win

I went shopping with my Dad this morning and bought a Timberland bag that should have been Ģ50 for Ģ20 :D
Tai-bo  at least it should help you channel your energies :D

You said it: according to the MUPPETS on Sky. So that's not likely to happen.:)

That's a very good find, with these challenging economic times and all. I haven't been out shopping for anything else than food and tupperware since the US.:awww: Which is supposed to be a good thing. For the old bank-account.

So I got treated to a lovely migraine last night, continuing into this morning. Therefore I didn't see any tennis, but I see Djoko took Fernando out. After that "uplifting" news:rolleyes: I took Noodles out for a walk or shuffle from my part as walking in 33 Celsius doesn't help recovering from a migraine, but the poor dog needed to get out. Most exciting thing of the week happened, closely followed by Marat winning a match of course. An extremely big specimen of the snake variety fell out of a tree! Well okay, a bush more like, but still, it fell out of something about 3 meters from where I was shuffling.(isn't this only supposed to happen in cartoons?) Noodles, the alert little dog she is, immediately rushed to get a closer look, so I was left screaming my lungs out to get her to come away from the creature. Which she did, she's a good doggie, but that didn't make my head feel much better.:awww:

Bet that never happens when you walk your dog?:p

When are you leaving for lovely Barcelona?

A new suitcase? You've got some plans for this holiday.:) You leave Sunday .... so packing Saturday night or Sunday morning is early enough. Bars in Barca are abundant and good. Lucky girl, I wanna come.:awww:

 In all my excitement I forgot about your doggie in doggie heaven. Sorry. Well, yeah I'm not a great fan of snakes but I was in no state to run and I had to rescue my furry animal.:armed: And the serpent type creature isn't in the habit of moving towards you, more of a runner-awayer type.

I needed a new suitcase, and the samsonite outlet near where I live was closing down so they were selling all their stock with 80% so it would have been rude not to buy one :p

We have to be leaving at about 10 which means I'll get up about 9.30 :o so no time for packing and we are going out for dinner tomorrow afternoon with my sister so I'll have to get it done when I come back

I'm soooo jealous. We had a bitterballen revival party at our house yesterday and so I've a bit of a hangover today. Of course wanted to watch the final but got treated to three men in tights who were supposed to go for a bike ride:cuckoo: but ended up on my couch watching football. So I only saw part of the final.

Have a great time in Barcelona. If you get tired of watching beautiful men play tennis I suggest you go to Camp Nou. The museum is really interesting, not sure if they will let a Madrileno in though.:p

Have heaps of fun.:D

Just watched a bit of TVE in search of the Monaco-Safin match. No tennis but the info I got about tennis-players.... Apparently Spanish Elle has a spread with the Princes of Tennis, including Verdasco, Lola, Tommywommy and our very own David. Also very interesting bit of info, Lola and his girl are back together. :woohoo: Okay, I'm not really that excited.:p

So Ali maybe you should head to la casa de las revistas and get yourself an Elle.

But for tomorrow I sooooo donīt mind, cos there is no other way then at least watching Tommy-Gaston via live scores ;)

Ali, hope you are enjoying a lovely time in Barcelona, despite the rain today!!!
I really envy you that you will be able to watch that Tommy-Gaston match live tomorrow....and I know you will of course support our Tommy ;)

Ali, if you have a possibility to grab one Elle for me as well, I would be sooooooo totally thankful!!!! Of course I will pay you the freight and the magazine!!! I will fly to Rome on friday and there might be a chance to get it there, but I prefer to be sure ;)

Have a "business meeting" tomorrow morning, got offered a new job Thursday so am talking to the guy to see if I like it.

Hope everybody had a good weekend:)

Haven't heard from Isa in a long time, how unfair, she's gone off and got a life.:awww::p

Ali, where are you going those weekends? Not off to stalk some poor young men or are you?

Congratulations Linda :yippee: I assume you will be teaching English again?

Thanks! Yep, it's English again. But I won't just be teaching. I'll also be writing programs for specific businesses. Right now they have a new client and it's a law firm, so I'll be helping the school develop a program geared towards the use of English in a lawyers office. It is very challenging for me but also extremely interesting. I'm starting this Wednesday.:D

Bad husband :p He should have let his princess sleeping all day long. And when he comes back, only then, he kisses you and wakes you up, so the fun may start :)

I'm a little sad, since I only went 3 days this week to Estoril. But I'll be lazing around the house all day long, since it's rainning and cold in here now. Tomorrow I'll be back at work so I better put all in order down here :)

And of course Congratulations Linda for your new job. It sounds exciting and nice. Hope you enjoy it ;)

I don't understand why they've named him before the B test confirms the first test  Thou they know they can be tested at anytime so he's either been stupid or naive if he's taken something :( Thou like Peter Flemming said on Sky why should he be banned for taking recreational drugs because if anything it's going to harm his performance. Not exactly sure why they have come out with it before the results of the B test. Maybe because they can't let him play while that is going on and people would wonder why? I know that cocaine is a recreational drug and it would not have enhanced his performance but the fact is that it's an illegal substance.

I'm just hoping that the press will be nice to Richie.

That happens here from time to time, people go by houses to ask for money. Most of the time they have a document from a doctor stating that they have some kind of disease and need an op. In this case, the lady told me that her house was falling apart and she didn't know how to pay for repairing it and her poor children were gonna be homeless. Basically Dik needs personal so I told her to go check at the company. She didn't look to excited with the prospect of a job. Odd.

Let's just say that Costa Rica sounds so much more exotic than where I live, is. I mean people think of white sandy beaches, palm trees, the sound of wild animals. My house is 2 hours removed from the nearest beach, although I do have palm trees in my garden they usually don't sway in a nice breeze but either get their leaves blown off by close to tornado force winds or look very sad in a tropical downpour. And last Sunday I got woken up at 5.15 by some of my neighbors who found it a fine time for some band practice. But the temperature is usually very nice.:D

I'm happy that you are happy. And of course Magnus is a nice guy. Actually, I never though of him, just how much I dislike the toad. But what is stronger than any of my dislikes, is how much I like beautiful and entertaining tennis. So anybody who can deliver that, I'm fine with.:D

That's what Zaba said but then Gaston said he was being ridiculous as he could go snowboarding any time he wants to after his tennis career but could never again enter Bastad.

Anyway...interesting discussion ;) I am already glad they talked about WC in Bastad and not in Stuttgart...so I guess maybe there is still little hope! And as their other friend Pico will also be in Bastad....who knows?

Don't feel bad, I also still have to post most of my Miami pictures. But MTF was giving me such a hard time trying to post them that I gave up. Will try again soon. I also have some Gaudio pics from when he was practicing with Nico L.

:haha: oh right. Now I am really happy.
:wavey:

I'm happy that you are happy. And of course Magnus is a nice guy. Actually, I never though of him, just how much I dislike the toad. But what is stronger than any of my dislikes, is how much I like beautiful and entertaining tennis. So anybody who can deliver that, I'm fine with.:D

My favorites to win now would be Delpo or Gonzo and maybe even Monfils because he's French, but really at this moment I don't care as long as the tennis is good.

Would it not be ironic if the Toad wins it? A guy whose titles have been on fast indoor carpet;) I mean really; has anyone ever complained that they have sped up the clay?;)

That sounds some what sarcastic Sue.:p

It would be ironic and although he is definitely not the guy that I will be rooting for, if he wins it by playing great tennis I won't have a problem with it. And it would actually be fun to see how MTF would spin that one.

Totally off topic but I had a meeting with my two bosses this morning and it was so crazy to think that I was sitting there with two 23 year olds. At the end of the meeting they asked me what I would bring them from Holland. And they said "why don't you bring us a girl". And those are the people who can fire me.

I could never support Man U not even if Xabi went to play for them :( As for Real the loon in charge is going to kill the club, buying the best players in the world doesn't mean they'll play well together

I'm trying. It was easy yesterday as all he wanted to do was sleep. So did I but my only excuse was a hangover. Today he's a little better which means he's worse. Strangely he can still answer the phone and send emails well enough, but getting a glass of water is absolutely impossible.

It'll be over soon enough though 'cause I have to go sign a piece of paper that will give me legal rights to stay in CR until I die.:scared:
