Jimnik 03-22-2009, 02:14 AM It would be nice if Team Mandy played a few more events. They might even have a shot at qualifying for the TMC. Deboogle!. 03-22-2009, 02:16 AM I can't imagine Andy doing it often. He's gotta be tired. I can see why they're a good team though, I saw Mardy play doubles with james a few times and Mardy loses all that sour negative stressful stuff he so often has in singles, it helps him relax. With their serves, Mardy's returns and volleys, and their groundstrokes, it makes sense. Plus they're friends so they have a good on-court rapport. Their second title together :yeah: But it definitely would be nice.... my two fave players :sobbing: Such a shame no one was able to see this :( iSzavay. 03-22-2009, 02:17 AM :woohoo: Unbelievable :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: They should play more often :bounce: Jimnik 03-22-2009, 02:17 AM I can't imagine Andy doing it often. He should consider doing this for Miami and the clay season to see how it goes. But you're right, I know he won't. Deboogle!. 03-22-2009, 02:20 AM Yes, I agree with you, it's especially good for his transition game which we saw earlier today is the worst part of his game left (IMO). It's definitely good early in a tourney especially these longer ones with days off, obviously playing an hour long doubles match is better than practicing for an hour.... but to play 2 matches yesterday and 2 today....he's got to be a little tired, even if it's just mentally. He's taking a fairly long break after Miami b/c of his wedding and whatnot, so he might well play doubles in the clay masters events, he has before. Viva Mardy! Some people in the crowd were calling the team Fish n' Rod. Kind of cute. Anyway, you all know the story. Mardy just could not stop smiling. When the announcer asked Andy if they would continue in doubles, Andy took a deep breath and said: We'll see? With that kind of question at the end. Mardy said he would love to, and it was always fun with Andy. Andy said Mardy carried him. True to some extent, but Andy did well too. The crowd was so in to it. It was a great finish to the day. :wavey: :yippee: :yippee: Mario Sharapov 03-22-2009, 02:54 AM http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/20/fullj.9823bc432428f773b4497d6ca1358a0f/9823bc432428f773b4497d6ca1358a0f-getty-83298496mc094_bnp_paribas_o.jpg Congratz to Fish n Rod. It probably would be more understandable off the bat in crowd situations, too. :rolls: heya 03-22-2009, 03:53 AM Damn ATP & tennis fans don't appreciate (put) any Roddick and Fish accomplishment, above their sweethearts Fed & Nadal. Doubles takes more than just ball bashing and backcourt gymnastics. Bryans lost badly. No one cares that Roddick did any positive thing. I wonder why he bothers showing up with little respect (he disrespects himself. That's why he rushes so much in singles competition). AAWWW! How cute! I sure didn't expect Andy & Mardy to win the tournament - good for them! :) Wasn't Mardy already up to a career-high ranking in doubles? "Team Mandy" --> I laugh every time I read that! :haha: Voo de Mar 03-22-2009, 04:52 AM The longest "champions TB" in career for both Americans. Fish becomes a doubles specialist - 11th doubles win in a row (with 3 different partners) :) Yves. 03-22-2009, 09:25 AM This softens the pain for Mardy  born_on_clay 03-22-2009, 10:49 AM Sensational JMG 03-22-2009, 01:17 PM How comes no one started a thread for the Bryans SF match? :( Burrow 03-22-2009, 03:26 PM its doubles nobody cares. iSzavay. 03-22-2009, 04:51 PM http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/20/fullj.9823bc432428f773b4497d6ca1358a0f/9823bc432428f773b4497d6ca1358a0f-getty-83298496mc094_bnp_paribas_o.jpg Congratz to Fish n Rod.
