The Juanqui Facts Thread

I was wondering if anyone knew any interesting facts about Juanqui that others may not have known. I know that jc likes to eat mcdonalds, and when he was young he used to hit balls at switchboxes in his father's textile shop, and he broke about 20 powerpoints.

I just looked it up in my English dictionary: the 'j' in Juan is spelled like the 'ch' in Loch Ness. You just have to speak it with a rough voice. ;)

I think it's " hu-wan ".... That's how I pronounce it .. hehe..

i never thought it was a problem... all commentators say it "h (like in hi) uan" and i also thought it was that way... :scratch: mr. ferrero has lots of mysteries here and there...

I've just found something for you!

'J' can be difficult, as its sound, that of the German 'ch', is absent in English except for a few foreign words where it is sometimes retained, as in the final sound of 'loch' or the initial sound of 'Channukah'. The sound is sometimes described as a heavily aspirated "h," made by expelling air between the back of the tongue and the soft palate. I read a lot of inteviews so i'm not SURE but if I remember it right, but I think it was in "ace magazine" (the one from february 04, big article on JC, he was on frontpage and stuff... i'm sure u remember that) he said he doesnt like to be called mosquito... and his familiy calles him juan carlos and he likes that I guess.
my MSN nickname has been mosquito fo ages now, i know he doesnt like it though :rolleyes: but he's still fast! not that that's an arguement why i should keep my nickname! I keep it becos my MSN buddies don't know mosquito=ferrero, and that was my target :rolleyes: Referring to him unnoticed.

The Valencian tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero has a street in Redován. The sportsman visited the locality recently to inaugurate the sign with his name and to attend a warm tribute prepared by the Council of Sports, directed by Roque Mario Fuente, and the director of the Club of Tennis of Redován. Ferrero enjoyed the hospitalities of neighbors.
