Simon played well in the second and until 2-3 in the third but in the first and at the end of the third he was really playing poorly

Ancic would've won this 2 and 2 if he'd played aggressively all the way through. He looked sublime when he was flattening the ball out. I'm not sure why he insists on being such a moonballer most of the time nowadays. He should keep it for the clay. Also, his volleys have gone to shit from lack of use.

Good fight from him though. I thought he looked out on his feet at 2-2 in the third.

a lot of floaty returns from his serve waiting to be knocked off on the full with this ancic... its a shame too cos ancic used to look reasonably at home up there at the net...
