Evita :wavey: Is Gulbis going to lose 9th match in a row in the second round? :D

So for what reason did you write Mello first? Don't try to irritate the people.

It's like the DC thread :silly:

Anyway Gulbis again in 2nd round and game over.

I'll be really original and say - yes  If he couldn't beat Dodig then I don't know how he could beat Roddick. But we mustn't forget that Gulbis is also playing doubles here and it could interfere with his second round losses streak  :p

For some strange reason I'm actually more interested to see him doing well in doubles this time. Don't really care so much about his success in the singles tournament. Although, if it's Roddick - Gulbis, then it's a match between my two favorite players, and I will simply have to cut my night's sleep in order to follow this one :)

At the last US Open, Gulbis was doing with Roddick what he wanted until serving for a 2-0 sets lead. He had his famous mental collapse then  Maybe this time the things are going to the other, positive way ;)

What does it mean horrible ? You are destined to play a seeded player when you are unseeded. Unseeding comes from the defeats to f.e. Dodig (horrible draw?). Andreev, Mathieu, Tipsarevic, Gabashvili ? Are these horrible draws ?

I am a big fan of Gulbis, but I don't like excuses. Had he beaten some mugs earlier - he wouldn't draw Roddick now. Karma and rankings are bitches.
