hi lovely pete fans

just want to tell you that i can no longer post on a daily basis as before, coz don't know why, ever since last Jan, a pop up sign appears on my computer "/sophos Anti-virus :\C:\programme files\common\help.dll" belongs to spy virus ......." and it disconnected my internet, the computer man of my office said he thought these virus comes from MTF/wtaworld, though i have asked many of you but no one said they have such problem ...... , and today, this sign comes out again, and the computer man decided to block me from entering these sites:bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:, i feel so sad coz i have been posting here ever since 2002 and wta 2001, not only i made a lot of wonderful friends here, but that i used this to kill my boring time at work ....... even though i work very late at office, actually i don't have too much things to do, so now i don't know what to do? when i arrive home, its already very late and i am very tired, i think i can only post once every week:bigcry:

bye friends:hug:

thank you Maria, now actually I am wishing this pop up sign to come out again, coz if so, it can be proved that this virus are not coming from mtf and wta:mad:

i still will post, but i guess, only once a week, coz besides that i am tired after work, my computer+internet connection at home is not as fast as the one at office:mad:

-wacked82, i think my office has anti-virus, but still this pop up virus sign comes out a few times, our computer man has the right to block sites which he thinks brings damage to our office:sad:

thanks, i still will post, just cannot do it on a daily basis:angel:

sad to hear it.

If turns out to be some site other than MTF, maybe you can talk the guy into removing the block at some point

Sorry that you can't post from your office, mimi! That's really weird about the anitvirus program you have in your office.

hi Raging and Lee :wavey:

i am posting at public library during lunch today, may be i can do it 1-2 times a week if no one is using the computer (but sadly i only have 1 hour of lunch) :wavey:

today this pop up sign comes out again, i was very happy coz this can prove that this virus was not coming from MTF/wta, but to my disappointment, my computer man said its the not the same virus, so he cannot release me from mtf/wta :mad::sad:

this new anti-virus system was installed in last jan, may be its not as powerful as the old one?:confused:, but who knows, i only know that i wanted to die, no more fun at office, only facing the bad secretary and evil boss :banghead::banghead:

can any one tell me how to become a premium member? where is the link? i can't find it (foolish mimi :o), i guess if i have to post at home, i need a faster access :wavey:

bye for now

hey mimi!!! :wavey:

the virus your talking about sounds similar to the one i had, where these constant pop up would appear and crash my browser. eventually got rid of it with symantec anti virus. the one im talking about kept attaching itself to my registry and dll files.

Mimi I hope you solve it ,I usually don't use any antivirus they annoy me :o ,I would remove it and use another maybe
For the Premium membership go to User cp then on the left click on paid subscription and from there you can order it

Don't bother with premium membership if you want faster access. It's not working here.

I don't think barring any on line site is going to work. It looks like the virus already attached to some valid programs in your computer and it will keep reinventing itself. And there's no easy way to remove the virus.

thanks wacked82, but sadly I am the only one in the office that got this virus (other secretaries also go to local websites a lot but they didn't get any virus so the computer man only blocked me )

 Mimi, may be it's time for you to invest in a laptop with WiFi. Many public places in Hong Kong have free WiFi services, like public libraries and shopping malls.

Hi Mimi, don't know if you're going to see this post, but I'm sad to read that some nasty virus business got you blocked from MTF etc.

You say that you don't want to carry a heavy laptop with you, but may I suggest you one of these: Asus EEE notebook (http://usa.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=24&l2=164)?

They are really small and light-weight (no more than a usual reading book!), have excellent Wifi access and all you need for a little comp to allow you to serve the net. I'm quite in love with mine... :)

(and NO I do not work for Asus ;))

hello trickcy :D

not that fine, no mtf and wta at work, but thank you :p

the computer man said he will only give me back access to mtf and wta if the same virus comes back, coz this may prove that the virus did not come from mta and wta, but sadly it does not come back till now:rolleyes:

how are you, when will roger play his next tourney:wavey:

hello Karin:D:wavey:

thanks for your good suggestion, i will give it a thought:wavey:, actually my notebook at home is very old and heavy, but i am too stingy to buy a new one, i still give myself some hope for getting back mtf and wta at work, though the chance is slim:p

i hope both you and trickcy have recovered from roger's lost at AO, i may sure that he will soon win a big title, he is still young:wavey:

Hi there mimi, glad to see you around again! :wavey:

That's exactly the same experience I had with my 'old' laptop - much too big and heavy to carry along. Felt like dragging along a pathway tile...
The Asus EEE is very different, just a tiny little thing, about 1.5 kg, and it offers you all you need from a computer - no silliness you don't need (i.e. NO Vista! :D) but excellent access to the net - and most important, they are rather cheap. 300 euros in Europe, even more, 250 if you don't need Windows - it is also available with Linux installed.

And as I said, it's a cute little thing... :hearts:

i hope both you and trickcy have recovered from roger's lost at AO, i may sure that he will soon win a big title, he is still young:wavey:

I think we have, and so has Roger. Thanks for your kind words, they very much resemble Rafa's - and I still don't know how to properly express my adoration at his lovely gesture trying to console Roger during the trophy ceremony. Lovely guy, no wonder Roger quite likes him.... :hearts:

hello Karin again:wavey:

yes, yesterday and today I posted at home:p

thanks for the information, I will think about it:angel:

to be honest, even though I like rafa more than roger, i did not think he is in bad form or a slump, getting to grand slams final for 4 consecutive times is not bad at all, and i don't think as some others said, he has little fighting spirits, coz if so, he should lost in straight sets and not 5 sets, sometimes a win in a tennis match is just about a few points and rafa was lucky to take it:wavey: I still think roger has great chance in wimby and especially usa open, i don't think too many players can beat him in that surface:wavey:
