My work schedule would allow me to go up and watch some of this if I wanted to. But it's on the far north end of the city. It would take an hour or more to get up there. So, tell me: is it worth it?

Well, you don't get live tennis in where you ended up and I know you used to attend the tournaments so you know how it feels to watch matches live. Certainly this is not the level we get at the ATP events, although surprisingly, some challenger matches are better than some ATP. Some venues are cool, because the stands are nice and you also hear what the players are talking about, and also they are more friendly and willing to chat. So overall, it depends on what you are expecting. You may see lesser level, but more fight, because these guys struggle to get cash for their flight to another tournament. You rather won't see the "future GOATS" from this entry list, although this Russian boy #3 ALT if he gets to the MD might be interesting, because he's 18 and I think he's 4th or 5th so young person on the ATP list.

Thanks. I've thought of going previous years (and probably even posted that I was going to, but then didn't) but it never really worked with my schedule. I guess I'll think about it a week and get back to you guys if I decide to go so that I know who to look out for. I've seen challenger level tennis before, in Montreal, so I know that it can still be extremely good :wavey:

Obvious. Given that I already checked the obvious (ITF, ATP), I apparently should have clarified that I was wondering if there was anything better available. I'll take that as a "no". Thanks anyways, I'm sure I can make due with what is available...
It looks like they'll be playing matches throughout the afternoon, so if I 1) sleep more than 4 hours before my 6:50am class and 2) sort out some stuff with immigration today, then I will try to attend late Wednesday afternoon. I can't get up there until about 4pm, so we'll see.

Great chance for Im to reach the final here. Mayer and Udomchoke are the favourites in the bottom half.

Kavčič will tear Im apart...
last year in closing season interview he stated, that it's all in his head and if properly motivated, he can beat almost everyone. Actually he is dreaming to become a top 50 player one day
even in final I really don't expekt one way traffic against Flo/Danai :)

didn't he say top 20?:p
But, yeah, he has a game, he does seem to have self-confidence and top 100 is certainly not out of the question:D
quite impressive to see him doing so well in Korea, considering he was playing final at a clay event in Italy on sunday and had to change a few time zones to play on hard. Although, the field here is not that good at all:p
Ratiwatana brothers defeated Swiss pair Allegro/Chiudinelli, double 6-4. The other semifinal match (Eaton/Groth vs. Iwami/Matsui) will be played tomorrow, and doubles final might happen on Sunday.
