89% of 1st serves won. Monster Serve. Monster Game. How is this guy not in the Top 10?

Hopefully he'll make the showcourts at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Probably contest the US Open Final too...

Utter legend.

Well done.

I can only agree.

I look forward to start of the WTA next week. Main reason (well, only reason) to prefer WTA over ATP is that are hardly any fixed matches there.

Why is this one fixed?

Gil is better than Köllerer on hardcourt. This outcome was to be expected, even if it is Frederico's first match back in a long time.

Easy to explain. Gil was the better player and CD lost his head in the second set. That's typical for him, surely no fix.

He was a 1.65 fave before the match. A few minutes before that he dropped to 1.1 favourite.

He was still an overwhelming favourite when he was a break down in the first. He was 1.07 at 4-3, on serve.

No problem in assessing the matchup and agreeing that this is not a surprising win, but when you see these odd movements in the betting, then there is reason to be suspicious.

Sure, a Gil win was expected. But odds on Gil to win in straigth sets were 1.20 when the match started so there is no doubt whatsoever that this was fixed.

Odds:

yesterday 1.7
1.2 at 0:2 in 1st set
1.05 at 3:2 in 1st set

So what? It has nth to do with being better or not.

seems like the fixes are back with a vengeance from late last year after a long quiet period.

This thread stinks! Instead of talking about the game and Fred's absolute lovely performance, you believe in another "cabala"...

I saw part of the first set where Dani was outplaying Gil. I came back to see him tanking and being obvious about it in the second. Gerry Armstrong was right in the corner off court, seeing it all.

The pathetic thing is that the chair umpire just let the farce run unabated, as though it was better to just let Dani pack his bags rather than risk a confrontation.

A much more suspicious result would have been the Klaasen one, except that Raven actually played very, very well and I am loath to take anything away from him.
But I just wondered about Ramirez Hidalgo. Any suspicious betting on that one?

No suspicious betting patterns on the RRH match.

Thanks for your reports on the matches mate. Please keep posting.

Looks like I should change the thread title... Gil probably won't be a future top tenner...
