Not at all suprised about this result, i predicted that Troicki would win regardless of a suprisingly large number of websites and bookies strongly tipping Simone, ah well at least the better player won in my opinion. Solid match from Troicki, too many errors from Simone.

I don't get Bolelli. He's so talented and yet never seems to achieve anything.

Bolleli goes up and down all the time, a few weeks ago he beat Gilles Simon 6-3 6-3 and now he loses to Victor =/

I've heard he asked Ivo K for advice on that matter.

Bolelli's problem is that he can't even return an e-mail.

That should be interesting...Lubicic is 48th and Troicki 49th in the world separated by only 5 points or something like that, but Ljubicic has an experience...

I wonder how many of you really saw Bolelli playing, cause I saw at least three matches of him against players with good serve (Gonzo, Berdych, Fish) and he didn't have problems with return. He lost some of those matches, but it was not because lack of return but because he was poor from the baseline.

I wonder how many of you tennis experts really know the players and how many rely on following the scoreboard and urban legends

I saw the match against Fish and lack of a good and consistent return was a major problem. Did he break Fish once in the entire match?

You are right about the baseline game though, sometimes that breaks apart too.

He lost to part-timer Suzuki in Tokyo.

That's one I judged by a scoreboard.

I remember laughing my ass off watching him try to return Stakhovsky's kick serves here last year and he wasn't too sharp at home on clay against Roddick.

That match against Gonzalez you mention, he had very few bp's in that.

He seems to have improved his return game but it's still definitely a weakness.

in what way talented? he knows how to get a good hair cut, or what? If that is talent then he is a GOAT...

Joke of a player, erratic serve, when he misses a few 1st serves he is finished, forhand can be good, but too many times it is too wild with no control at all, not to mention his bekhand, while he has a weaker return the Karlovic, for that you have to be talented...

Should be an interesting match against Ljubo

wtf r u on? :cuckoo:

Simone is way more talented than Troicki no matter he got his ass kicked badly today.

You just saw Bolelli on court for first time on a bad day on a shitty tournament, and you think itīs always like this. :retard:

He's not more talented and he's far more erratic, hence the result. Viktor also stands a much better chance against rejuvenated Ljubicic, who would eat Bolelli for breakfast in Zagreb

I never said Viktor was more talented then Superbol, they both played here last year, and i got my share of Simone watching him play on streams; he can't hit a bekhand to save his life, maybe one or two, but not consecutive, i never said he did not try yesterday, he was just bad as hell, Bolleli returned the second serves from Troicki 5-6 meteres long or he just hit them into the crowd....

1- Wrong. Simone is WAY more talented than Viktor

2- Wrong as it depends on the day, both can be erratic as hell.

3- Viktor will likely lose anyway to Ljubicic so

Simoneīs backhand is erratic and itīs one of his main weaknesses, along with his footwork, but both were huge liabilities for him a few years ago and heīs slowly improving both aspects and thatīs why heīs slowly climbing up the rankings. I see much more room of improvement in his bh as a shot than Troickiīs fh, for instance.

His forehand is a thing of a beauty, of course he still can be wild and impatient with it, but for me itīs one of the best fhīs in the game, hands down.

And concerning his ros, I agree itīs not good, specially off fast serves, but itīs not that bad as MTFīs urband legend has made it look, Iīve seen a ton of matches of him and although some days heīs horrible, he has also quite decent days with it.

Call it what u like, erratic, inconsistent, bh goes to hell many days, but no doubt in my mind heīs a very talented player, with a lot of room for improvement, with a bigger potential than Troicki and whose place should be top 25 soon enough, donīt think Viktor can reach that milestone

Anyway... let's leave it like that. Couldn't expect much different from someone like you. :wavey:

1. You'd think Bolelli is McEnroe the way you praise him. I fail to see that exuberance of talent. He's just one of the boys showing some promise, nothing more nothing less.
2. Wrong, Bolelli is erratic as a rule. Troicki could use more consistency.
3. I find it indicative if someone is able to play a more competitive match. I also look forward to seeing such a match more than a blowout.
