Federer's decline in Masters Series

FedFan_2007

From March 04-March 06 he won 9 MS titles in 24 months.
From April06-November08, 4 MS titles in 31 months.

So in his best period he managed to win them at 1 every 2.5 months, since
has decreased to 1 every 8 months.

I think he's very hungry to win these titles again starting in Indian Wells, especially if he has slam #14 under his belt.

When are we going to take away this fangirl's ability to create threads?

Not a bad thread, but your gona have to do better if you wana win best poster. I suggest not posting about Fed if your a Fedfan. Scrap that, dont post about Fed at all. If you do that you'll be hated like me. People in this forum are biased towards hating the best, instead of intersted in tennis. That doesnt go for everyone of course.

Crickey mate, just get over it!
**The only thing that`s going to further FED`s legacy now is winning slams [or maybe carrying the Swiss to a Davis Cup trophy]...otherwise he doesn`t give a baboon`s arse about Masters Series anymore [good practice & that`s it];)
<>Fed`s happy to let the likes of Murray get their hopes up prematurely by winning Masters events, then bath in glory come Slam time [when the sports world focuses on tennis]

The problem with you is that you make this threads when things seem to look good for federer, while I praise Federer when things are looking dark and most MTF-users ask: "When does Fedmug retire" I guess that is the difference between a real fan and a glory hunter

Rome is slightly better than the other Masters in my opinion >> simply because of the history there, where it was considered the `pseudo 5th slam` for half a century!

However, nobody remembers stats on who won what Masters, besides the often change name/location ~ no sense of hisotry [eg. Stockholm, Stuttgart, Madrid = same Masters/Super-9].

You speak the truth. Fedfan should clearly be ACC but then someone who sticks with Roger through thick and thin like me gets nominated. So i guess ill take it as a compliment

`thick and thin`~~ mate that doesn`t apply to FED, you obviously don`t know what its like to support a player who really has `depressing/tragic downs`!

**FED`s bad year was 2008 ~ Won USO, Won Olympic Gold, Wimbledon & FO finalist, #2!
<>
**try being a fan of Jelena Dokic [i have since she was #1 junior & junior USO champ in 1998]:umbrella:
>>uprooted to 4 diff countries, abused by her father, falls off the map~ overweight/injured/clinically depressed - ranked #600 [2007] )) & now she`s in the QFs of a Slam [1st time since FO 2002]... that`s `thick & thin`!!

I dont agree, ist all relative. Knowing that Roger came all the way to 13 slams and sometimes doubting wehther e will break Pete's record is no fun. There is huge pressure on him. I do think he will do it though.

And btw ive always been a Dokic fan. Maybe you understand what it means being a true fan. Im a fan of roger because i like him as a person, same for Dokic. The results are secondary.

funny mate, you contradict yourself here:p

anyway i`m a fan of both Federer & Dokic, mainly for the good people they are, and their exciting playing styles, but i think its fair to say that Dokic has had a lot harder time than Federer, since Jelena had to be incredibly mentally tough just to survive her abusive father:sad:

That's true, but Federer is carrying the weight of history on his shoulders which is just as difficult if not more so.
