I can't believe I stayed up till 5.00am to see such a poor display by Jérémy  It could have been such a great match.

Novak did what he had to do...let Chardy making Ues and convert break points

Chardy disappeared after the 1st set.

Nole played very well, much better than I have seen him so far this year. Can't see anyone troubling him till the QFs. And even then I expect him to get through easily.

Still. I live in hope.

Maybe after years of therapy.

If I do love him, I have buried the feelings well.

Best match of the season from Novak. Serve, move, consistency through out the match (except serving for the match) are all better. But I need to see a few more matches like this before I will say he's back.

The match was pretty tight in the first set but after Novak won the 1st, he came out on fire and won 9 straight games. He served for the match and was finally broken and got a little wild in the shot making.

71% first serve
62% won on 2nd serve
100% in break points (6/6)
33 winners/17 UEs (+16)

As the cliche goes, Chardy's belief deserted him after the first set, but those initial twelve games were played in a very competitive spirit. Djokovic roared in Chardy's face when he'd secured the 7-5, knowing he'd dodged a bullet, and even though the Frenchman fell off in the next two sets Djokovic was pretty exceptional. His anticipation was something special, and the problems he seemed to be having with the racket early on soon dissipated in a blaze of almost perfect baseline tennis, taking him to 7-5 6-1 5-1. A little concentration lapse from Djoko ensured the match went on longer than it should have, but this was a good test for him that he passed with flying colours. He looked every bit the title contender some of us knew he would be before the tournament started. All he needed was a bit of a recharge in the off-season; his problems in the later stages of 2008 have, I suspect, overly influenced the bookies' longer odds on him.

During the last several months I almost forgot Novak ever had this "This Court Is Mine And Today I'm Not Into Being Hospitable" mode in him. And I hope THIS performance of his is a sign of good things coming in the following days. Bravo, dečko :)

The list is impresive
Stoppini (ranking: 220)
Chardy ( ranking: 68)
Delic (ranking 127)

Some quality opponents.
This Crybaby Faker once , just once had tricky opponent in the first third round of the slams (Wimbly 08) and we all know how it ended.

The funny thing is that he could come to SF without beating anyone inside top30.

Seriously, all this "He's got an easy/difficult draw" bullshit should end. Every respective player plays the player he is assigned. There is nothing to it. If people played to their seeds, every seed should meet another in the third round.

He would have lost it.
However, he is going to play the Mighty Cypriot against whom he also has good record, but he will lose :)

It's Djokovic's fault that Mathieu, the 28th seed, who was up 2 sets and decided to lose it in 5 to a 127 rank player.

No of course it is not Crybaby Faker's fault.
It is just once he had tricky draw in the first three rounds , or to be exact one tricky opponent and he lost.
Look what kind of draw Federer has:
Seppi, Safin in third round, then Berdych.
And the Faker playes Stoppini, Chardy , Delic and Fish :haha::haha::haha:

Chilling performance from 55 in the first set to 52 in the third, where he lost it a little bit. If he's to have any shot at defending his title, he has to build on this performance because it was a very good one.

Nah, I'm waiting for Nole the Predator, which we all fell in love with some year and a half or two years ago (approx.), to remember he existed and to decide it's time he resurfaced, and only THEN I'll get back to being a permanent fixture here :) Until then, just on-and-off mode :)
