iirc? stop your chat freak language

You know there was a risk and you took it. You did the mistake. On top of that, Picasso even lost to him 1 and 0 in juniors.

what? stfu ffs imo afaik.

Way to miss my point. I acknowledge my mistake. Only had a tenner on him so didn't bother to research it properly.

You made the same mistake and then you come in here acting like it was an expected result and common knowledge he was ill

It was impossible for me to know if he is completely fit or not. I just like to bet on him, he's been the biggest money maker for me on the tour for years now.

I know that Voo; but no-one who seriously calles himself a tennis player can loose a grand slam match on hard court to Brian Dabul, and without even putting up a fight, just ridiculous, i was never fond of Picasso, now even less....

Maybe Petzschner can't deal with the heat. I suppose should be treat seriously indoor and on grass, these conditions are suitable to his technical tennis.

Of course Dabul is no pushover on hardcourts, but WTF Philipp :o Not even winning a set here is pretty bad stuff.

Are you kidding? He came back from an early break down in the third. He was clearly fighting. And he loves the heat usually.

you where so proud saying he came back in the third like he was playing the likes of Safin or Murray, give me a break, if he was injured he should have retired, but he was just a little bit hurt, if he was, no excuse in this world for this defeat, I can not understand how some of Picasso's fanboys here just overrate him, he has good touch at the net, but that's it, no bekhand at all, that slice is totally overrated, and must be serving like Coria to get demolished by the hands of the mighty Brian Dabul, not to mention his supreme return game, just crappy player all in all...

I've never overrated him actually. I was saying for 5 years he can be a top 100 player when he was playing futures and no one believed me. It turned out I was right. I said 3 years ago that he is Davis Cup material for doubles and I was right again.

btw In Doha he played like a solid top 100 player. One bad tournament, probably caused by illness, doesn't mean he can't stay in the top 80 this year.

Uhm, you guys are making it sound like Dabul is a claycourt specialist and a complete nobody on hard. Dabul in fact is a very good player on hardcourts  It's no surprise that he at least gave Petzschner a tough time. The surprise is in the fact that Petzschner failed to come even close to winning a set.

Yes Dabul had some results on hard court playing against claycourt mugs in South American hardcourt challengers, if you reckon that as good hard court results then be my guest, I had the honour to see him play, and i'll repeat myself, no serious player should lose a match to this guy on hard court....

Good win for Bryan :) he has his limitations but is talented , has a pretty good fh but surely Petzchner had to play bad to lose that easy.

Any decent player should beat Dabul in a wheelchair. Dabul must be one of the worst pros I've ever watched playing.

I like Dabul´s forehand as he can do many things with it but that´s the only good attribute he has to save his life on hard. His serve is not good enough, his bh can easily be broken down on fast surfaces and his movement is way worse than on clay. If you think he´s able to win Petzschner every day in and out 1,2 and 4, then you´re seriously deluded. Any more questions?

I also had the honour of seeing him play. On grass. And even there he was not playing bad tennis, and it was against Feliciano Lopez too. The guy is not a moonballer.

I don't disagree with what you say here, and also said that I didn't expect Petzschner to lose and especially not that easily. What I have issues with is people making it sound as if Dabul cannot play on hard courts if his life depended on it.

Dabul back to reality got smashed by an average Berdych as it should be due to his weaknesses
