Possibly. I wouldn't put my house on it, but it could happen if Gasquet doesn't implode. I don't think he needs to hit Wimbly 07 form to beat Nadal on hard.

It would come down to the fitness i think.
If Gasquet has really improved his fitness during this off-season then he can definitely beat Nadal on hardcourt.
Ffs if even guys like Simon and Monfils can do that then why not Gasquet?

Like I said, Gasquet. I'm saying I wouldn't bet my house on it, but that's who I'm predicting.

That would be a slap in the face to all Muzzatards, unlikely to happen though.

I know, but I asked, "Who ya got in that semi?" as in, "Who are you picking to win the Murray/Gasquet semi?" and you said Gasquet, so that's why I was confused.

You'd pick Murray or Gasquet on hard? On what surface would you pick Gasquet? :p

Well,Murray always had trouble against Gasquet.
I know, people will say to me that Andy has massively improved since last Wimbledon but i don't entirely buy on it.
I think that even now,he would get probably beaten in straight sets on grass against Nadal.

Clay and grass.
On hardcourt,Andy is much much superior though.

Poor Rafa :awww:

Nadal gets no respect -- or even less respect than usual here -- on hard courts. Some of it is deserved and some of it isn't. It's as if he didn't reach this prospective round (semis) of both hard court slams and win the Olympics last year.

I'll eat my hat if Gasquet, even in great form right now, beats him at the Australian Open. Monfils and Simon (who looks as lackluster as Rafa) have a better chance of upending him before the semis.

If Richie can't hold it together in 2 out of 3, how will he in 3 out of 5?

Clay. Grass is a toss up. Murray is a much better player than he was even around Wimbledon last year, so I'd like to see how he's playing on grass and clay this year.

Oh believe me he has improved the guy had never won an AMS and had never reached futher than a QF in a slam prior to Wimbledon 08.

if your refering to Andy's improvements on clay and grass. We honestly don't know seeing as he has only really played on HC since Wimby and won't do till about April.

I don't know about grass. Especially this year, with the improvements in Murray's game. Murray even beat him on grass last year prior to the massive steps he has taken since then. If I was a betting man, I know where my money would go on a grass court match. I don't imagine it would be anything but close, though.
