:bigcry: Hopefully it's more a precaution not to aggravate it further than something serious.

What's with all the withdrawals?

Seriously Tsonga get it together. Whatever the reason was..that's just disgraceful.

There's an interview of Tsonga (with audio even!) on his website where he says he doesn't know if he'll be able to play in Australia, because his back has seized up and he can't even run at the moment. He's hoping he will be able to move again before next week.

But yeah, you're right, that's just disgraceful. He should have crawled to the court, maybe that way he could miss all the slams this year, not just 2 1/2. Less than a week before the only slam were he was 100 % last year and where he has half his point for the season to defend. THAT'd be the smart thing to do.

Basically he says he doesn't know yet if he can play the AO but he hopes so. There's nothing he can do the next two days. Probably he'll just stay in bed and hope it gets better.

yes, and that he had tried everything, but the doctors and physio said it was impossible to play.

it's not as a precaution at all.

:sad:Poor Jo-Wilfried, he can't seem to catch a break. Hopefully he won't be out for too long but reading his comments it doesn't sound too positive. Get better soon:hug:

Poo Jo. I hope he will be o.k for AO. He is is so unlucky. I never like to see any player injured but him especially. In his past interviews he has said that he was so happy and appreciative just to be able to play tennis again because of career threatening injuries. He thought he would have to quite tennis altogether. Best of luck Jo and a speedy recovery.

Jesus christ the haters are unbelievable. Ya, hes definitly faking it, just like he faked his career threatening knee injury. Hes not a player like Gasquet, hes not a sissy, he'll play when he can and its ridiculous to suggest he should put his AO in jeopardy just for your own stupid sense of logic.

Hope he gets better in time for it.

Well said!

On the other hand, and Jo himself has often said it in his interviews, all those grave injuries have probably made him much more hungry of winning each time he has the luck of being able to play.
His will to win is much superior to most of the players because of that.
