Bad luck for Kohli.

Seems the marathon against Ferrero was taxing on his body.

Just heard it from the stream, apparently a shoulder injury.

It's showing his press conference on the stream, apparently his tendon in his shoulder has been hurting all week and he's been on anti-inflammatories. It hasn't got better, so he's going for a MRI scan, so pulled out for precaution.

I think is probably a chronic problem for him that has already caused retirements for him in the past. But obviously it flares up every now and again.

Consider yourself lucky. A fit Kohlschreiber would kill Ferrer in this situation.

Well...I never thought anything of it during yesterday's match. His forehand was breaking down but his backhand and serve were still good. Please get well for the AO.

That's so stupid - why bother winning against Ferrero just to withdraw? Bull.

German players have a knack for withdrawing after beating JCF. Zverev at Wimby too.

A Pics win is usually good news in my book but I certainly don't like the circumstances of this one... Really hope Kohli is better by the AO as I enjoy watching him when at the top of his game, like last year against Roddick.
