Strategic pre-AO tank for Sexy.

StepaMug

why did he play?

He took those timeouts in his last couple matches in Brizzy to get a backrub or whatever that was, it didn't seem all that serious, but he's an old man so maybe he's not bouncing back quite like he used to. Or it could have been the Australian champagne...

Yes yes yes, may the losing continue...

Better to not risk before the slam. Many people retire when they feel even the smallest pain in the week before, so it's not like Stepanek was the first to do it.

What's the big deal? He didn't feel okay, was feeling back pain throughout Brisbane.

Just because clowns like Fakervic and Nadull pull tricks like these the whole time, doesn't mean everybody else is doing them too.

If he was injured then he shouldn't have stepped onto court, no? Isn't that your rule for any other player?

Just because clowns like Fakervic and Nadull ...

are you talking about that stupid purple clown outfit radek wore when you refer to clowns or are you talking about radek's on court jackass clown behavior?

just want to know

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds, haha!

I remember you told me something along the lines of 'If you are injured, you shouldn't play'.

Why a different rule for Stepanek?

Meh, I was there in the front row for it, and it honestly seemed like he couldn't be bothered. His back was probably pestering him a little and there was really no need to continue when he was gonna lose to the free-hitting Chardy, who was controlling most of the rallies with his stronger groundstrokes. There was some nice play here and there from Radek, some crisp volleying but there were several double faults and unforced errors. His retirement came on the back of a very, very long service game of his when he was down 0-2 and saved at least six or seven break points while blowing three or four game points of his own. From 0-40 he got it to deuce and then there were a minimum of eight, before he finally lost it to go down a double. From there, the trainer came out and had a chat and two points later, the umpire announced his withdrawal from the match. The guy was clearly fatigued from Brisbane but left several fans disappointed who were craving thunder lips to perform the worm after the match. Promising showing from Chardy though, he was quite solid.

Awwww poor fanboy got mad.

Clown = pouting after every UE mistake.
Clown = wearing a pirate outfit.
Clown = taking 2 minutes to serve on break point.
Clown = not knowing how to volley or slice the ball.

Got my drift?

Stepanek is sexy.

Your hypocrisy knows no bounds, haha!

He could've gotten injured during the match. Have you watched the match to know for sure?

Radek and Nicole got it all planned
a whole week of non-stop shagging before Melbourne.

You said he was experiencing pain last week in Brisbane, exact same situation with Murray in Abu Dhabi, who then aggravated it against Fed.

'If you are injured, you shouldn't play'.

By your logic, Radek shouldn't have walked onto court today then.

I think you're a funny guy, but the fanboyish defence of Sexy is getting too much to bear. ;)

The difference?

Murray was serving like Karlovic against Roddick.

Steps was clearly struggling today, as reported in this same thread. :)

No more wedding proposals to Rafatards it is. :(

To keep on subject, I don't care for either player.

I picked Chardy when the draw came out. ;) A person fresh off a title usually never does well in the next event. :p

Radek promotes the fact he is class clown quite openly... it is part of his game...

The truer clowns are the guys who have no idea they are clowns... those who maybe have deep wishes to be loved, but in fact operate inside of a much larger Clowndom... the heavily inflated self opinions blinding their own awareness of how they are perceived, betraying what they really are...
