Auckland U-13. Vulinovich d. Collier-Waiomio 10-8 (Champion's TB)

I thought Vulinovich had blown it after he lost 4 points in a row from 4-2 up but he fought hard and regained his focus gradually imposing his bigger game on his opponent as the match progressed.

Though Collier-Waiomo will have reason to feel aggrieved after a questionable call at 8-8 when Vulinovich produced a clean fh winner that looked just wide first viewing.

Match of the year so far imo. I think it ties the series at 1-1 and the decider will be tomorrow

Epic match. Just great fighting spirit after a little choke. But I can say one thing about Vulinovich, he is definatly the real deal. I just can't wait till the final tommorow. I already called in sick so I don't miss it.

I thought of doing this, but the mods have me on lock :haha:. Collier-Waiomio looked like he was going to cry at the beginning, and I swear the umpire gave him points that he didn't deserve, tennis is so fucking corrupt, good thing this guy Vulinovich came back and won it.

look at how young Collier-Waiamio tries to intimidate his opponent with that steely stare. I probably would've shit my pants but Vulinovich really showed his mental toughness to put it out of his system and get on with the match. Gasquet could learn a lot from this guy.

Is Vulinovich an ethnic Croat?

It's super tie-break, and yes, doubles is a mugs sport.

Dont you like doubles?

not really. maybe a bit of davis cupor a slam final but that's it. actually when the Bryans lose as well.

according to the interweb super tb seems to be more common but champions tb is also used. anyway we're going off topic here rather than discussing the match in question.

No, it isn't.

How can you say it isn't when Nadal and some clown beat the no.1 seeds in doha the other day, and also the no.1 guys in the world  :o

Federer & Stan winning the doubles gold is another example.

U13 tennis? WTF?

They should call this the "Michael Jackson cup"

I'm sure Isner was intimidated by the amount of game these guys have.
