It's sad, but I read about the injury already when he played last week (I assume it's the same injury).

I think so, same one he was treated for in brisbane

Yes, Nishi's elbow was still bothering him. At least now he'll get a week's rest but I fear it might come back to haunt him in a long GS match. I really hope this doesn't become a perm problem throughout his career.

JCF won't be thrilled with the lack of match practise.

He seems to be really injury prone.

Too bad for Kei, his development keeps getting interrupted by these nagging injuries.

Still quite young i guess.

That's not the way I wanted JC to go through... :awww:
Poor Kei, his elbow started bothering him during his match against PHM in Brisbane. He said it's more of a muscle pain than something more serious, but maybe four days' rest was not enough.
Hope he will be fit by AO!

And good luck to Juanqui against Kohli or Hrbaty! :rocker2:

Finalist points to defend here, JCF. First title since Madrid '03 waiting. Vamos.

Poor kid. I really hate to say this because I am a huge fan, but I fear Nishi will never have much a career (or, at least, not nearly as good of one as he is capable of). He is just too frail. I don't know why, but I get the feeling he won't grow out of getting injured every couple odd weeks :-(.

Wow, is Ferrero's situation so bad? It's like he's been a "has been" for quite a few years now. I remember back in 2003 he was a player that everyone feared playing...now he is just a joke of his former self....

But well, a victory is a victory. Keep it up, even if you were the one who destroyed David last year at AO :(

I feel really bad for Nishikori, horrible start to the season. I didn't want him to win, but I don't want anyone to lose by injury.

Anyway I hope Ferrero does well in the next round, which should be a hard match no matter who his opponent is

Unlucky Kei. Too many injuries for this boy.

Sucks.:(
His AO-projection after last week was not extraordinary, but still quite good. Now it's almost the exact opposite.

Poor Kei. Does anybody know is he going to play AO ?
