Congrats to Somdev. tennizen 01-06-2009, 01:30 PM :woohoo: I am so happy with this result. I hope he makes the top 100 atleast Edit: I read that he trained with Roddick during the off-season. Hope that helped him a bit. Cilic 01-06-2009, 01:34 PM First win on the ATP? Congrats to Somdev. of course not he already has one quarterfinal appearance CooCooCachoo 01-06-2009, 01:35 PM First win on the ATP? Congrats to Somdev. Uhm, what about his Washington QF? CooCooCachoo 01-06-2009, 01:36 PM Anyway, I did not expect him to beat Kim to be honest. His shape hasn't been great, but it could be that his work in the off-season paid off. saniapower 01-06-2009, 01:37 PM Somdev :bounce: Cilic 01-06-2009, 01:47 PM Anyway, I did not expect him to beat Kim to be honest. His shape hasn't been great, but it could be that his work in the off-season paid off. his serve is way better than it was last season, I expect Top 100 in 2009 I would have been shocked if Kim had won this gusman890 01-06-2009, 02:42 PM Uhm, what about his Washington QF? I stand corrected. I forget he beat both Dent and Kendrick in that tournament. Anyway, hopefully he cant make a run infront of his home crowd. The_Nadal_effect 01-06-2009, 03:32 PM First time I watched Somdev play. Great win for him! He's a moonballer though! Good luck against Carlos tomorrow. :yeah: Byrd 01-06-2009, 04:45 PM First time I watched Somdev play. Great win for him! He's a moonballer though! Good luck against Carlos tomorrow. :yeah: Shouldn't you be all over his ass then  saniapower 01-06-2009, 05:43 PM First time I watched Somdev play. Great win for him! He's a moonballer though! Good luck against Carlos tomorrow. :yeah: I watched the match. It's always better to return as many balls as possible. He is hard working and serious and tries not to make an error. The ue of Kim made all the difference. 10 aces also from Somdev. What impresses Somdev has a fighting attitude while Prakash has a surrendering tendency. JustJames 01-06-2009, 05:56 PM Unexpectedly good result for Devvarman. :yeah: Does anyone know of any available highlights for this match? Minotaur 01-06-2009, 06:39 PM It was nice to know who is this Devvarman is. As for the match, Kim played crap tennis, ue after ue, and what matters most ue in the critical moments. Devvarman reminded of Sela a bit. He is an all court player. Minotaur 01-06-2009, 06:39 PM And by the way this Devvarman guy made an interview during Moya's match Caio_Brasil 01-06-2009, 09:14 PM :woohoo: I am so happy with this result. I hope he makes the top 100 atleast Edit: I read that he trained with Roddick during the off-season. Hope that helped him a bit. Or maybe he helped Roddick :p cobalt60 01-06-2009, 09:52 PM This is a pleasant surprise; but now he needs to sustain the wins. fast_clay 01-06-2009, 11:40 PM nice routine scoreline... as it has to be against someone like Kim if he wants to make a name for himself... kensan 01-07-2009, 12:29 AM Go Somdev! Kim at #114 in the world is no slouch, well done! I was a fan after seeing him play at the National Indoors in Chicago. He really has a great positive attitude no matter the score and a great energy.
