It's good, he can get three matches in before qualies at the AO, he plays like this, then he can qualify, of course this is an exho.

Cibulkova's birthday present to Hrbaty was funny " I am too sexy for my age" will be on his desktop.

I am surprised what happened to James forehand. He was mishitting a lot of balls. Why was he sweating so much?

Blake improves his awful record in the TB of the deciding set  A couple years ago he lost in Hopman Cup 6-4 4-6 6-7 to another Slovak - Kucera.

I am very happy with the way Dominik played tonight. He was aggressive and did not make many errors. Of course he plays better when playing for his country but if he can even play close to this form he will qualify for the AO and not sustain the kind of losses he did in 2008.

Tonight he showed the kind of form he had when he was top 20. He always starts the year well and obviously he has been doing a lot of training in the off season to help himself have a good 2009.

I'm really not shocked, to be honest...didn't like what I saw of Blake at the end of last season. Obviously he has had a couple of months to find his head/game...but it looked like he was losing his "edge" a little, and, given the style he executes, that is potentially rather problematic for him.

I'm surprised at what's happening to James fullstop. Come on Blakey, get a grip man! :( I'm being harsh because I like him and want him to get some good results.

James is even worse than usual lately. Beating Federer in Beijing seems decades ago.

When I saw Dominik in the Bratislava Challenger late last season, I declared that I expected him to crack Top 100 again this year. Some posters thought I was crazy :p I guess this win might convince them a bit more.

Well that's actually the problem there.

Hrbaty is the only player really I know left on tour with a continental grip.
Basically if you move him a bit out of his comfort zone, he's a goner with that grip.

I'm assuming that James as usual made this into a slug fest underestimating his opponent.
He's paying the price.

The sad thing is that the US won the Hopman Cup a few years ago with Lisa Raymond/Taylor Dent, probably the worse team you can send singles wise.

Losing Hopman Cup would be embarassing.

I didn't think you were crazy but still consider your opinion about Top 100 as an exaggeration. Hrbaty has always been a player whith something special on court playing under the flag of Slovakia :)
