I wish for Taylor Dent and PimPim to return to the tour full-time and to remain injury free (and climb to the top of the game of course). Throw in the Scud as well, but that may be a stretch.

For Rog to break the 14 GS barrier and win Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open oh and of course AO. And how can I forget, get the #1 ranking back and the masters cup back to where it belongs. Oh and another Basel title. Preferably Hamburg, Madrid and Paris Masters along the way to beat Agassi's record. And as usual to win Halle. Ummm and ....win Dubai...and never lose to Nadal, Murray or Djokovic :). Only allowed 5 losses for the whole year.

That's my wish.

Just kidding. My wish is for Rog to stay healthy, non-injured and be his elegant, GOAT self.

First of all, I wish to see no nasty injuries and/or illnesses to any of the players.

Fed to at least equal Sampras' record;
Nadal to finally win a HC GS.

No injuries for anyone

I would like Federer to win Wimbledon if Gasquet doesn't.
I'd like Gasquet to just enjoy his tennis and be happy on and off the court and have a really good year and return to the top ten. Some grand slams woud be great too.
I'd like Mario Ancic to return to his top form and be healthy again.
I'd like to see Murray win a slam too.
I'm easily pleased!

biological
12-30-2008, 11:18 AM
I would also like Federer to beat Murray loads so their H2H is nicer for me.

All this on top of a happy, healthy year for all of them of course.

- No injuries for any player,

- Great matches between the top 4 (if possible Nole to win all of his ones :o).

- Being realistic, Nole to win AO and USO, and have a good run in Wimby. Oh, and Nole to achieve #2 finally. :bounce:

- No "I don't have any motivation to play" from Nole. :awww:

- Dancevic to win Montreal. :bounce:

Healthy year for all players, many greatest-match-of-all-times nominations, Roger to equal and pass Sampras's GS record and since I'm going to IW, a great tournament with all my favs making it to the round of sixteen, and and and...

*Ljubica*
12-30-2008, 11:54 AM
Most important - no injuries or ill health for the players.

Then I would say:-

- A great year for Nole - winning at least two Grand Slams, hopefully Wimbledon being one of them, so I can go and see it live.
- A first ATP singles title for Janko :inlove:
- Roger to win Roland Garros - it means so much to him.
- Lots of success for Mario Ancic, Marin Cilic and Dmitry Tursunov, and a better year for Mikhail Youzhny. A good year for Davydenko too.

may everyone be happy and healthy, and may Roger win RG beating Nadal in an epic 5 setter match in the final, something like 6-4 6-4 6-7 6-7 9-7 or something ;), and may he finally break Sampras's record and establish himself as the undisputed GOAT, so he can relax and enjoy the tour and show us more magic :o

there is one more wish but I will keep it to myself :rolleyes:

For the Roland Garros clay to be slowed down, and the Wimbledon grass to be sped up; overall, for court speeds to be adjusted so that we have real, appreciable differences between the grand slams and not have players making the finals of RG and Wimbledon successively with only minor adjustments to their style of play.

It would be fun to see Gasquet play with the mindset and attitude he had in Monte Carlo 05 or Wimby 07 every now and then.

WTF is admiN?

The tennis administration that cheated Murray in the US Open. By playing Federer first and Murray last so that the rain would force Murray to play two days in a row.

A decent points system, a more spread out calendar with a decent grass season and a roomy clay season, no injuries.... ok, being realistic now, just lots of great matches in the vein of the 08 Wimbledon final, and to see Rafa at least make the final of a HC slam, if not win it.

This year, I want
Lleyton to win the AO...and then promptly retire;
Roger to win RG...to get the monkey off his back;
Someone other than Fed and Rafa in the Wimby finals; and
Roddick to win the USO...again.

First and last...least likely to happen ;)

And for myself, Santa, please leave the following in my stocking...

a kick serve,
a return of kick serve, and
the nerve to play "up".
