Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road:

Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer:

12-29-2008, 01:42 AM
:p so if you created this thread why I just posted another comment in the other thread huh?

oh and I should be the last person to be requested to have lots of posts in any thread :o :rolls: ... btw there's a way to post the youtube videos directly to the board, I just can't figure it out which is the correct way ... yet :p

12-29-2008, 04:59 AM
Great performers, songs and videos Nicofan! :yeah:

Kid, when you figure out how to directly post youtube videos, tell us how to do it

12-29-2008, 02:55 PM
To post youtube videos you have to insert the code after the sign = in the url (in Sinatra's song is sEbgB6X6S5c) between the tags [ /YOUTUBE] (without the space of course :p)

12-29-2008, 02:58 PM
Fergie - thank you!!! I've tried so long to figure out how to do that and I could never figure it out!

Kid - I was just reminding you to post becuase you never posted any Christmas songs. :rolls:

12-29-2008, 03:00 PM
Of course I must have one song by my Motley Crue.  Kick Start My Heart! :rocker:

Well it sorts of works but every time I click on it, the video says disabled by request.

If you can't see it that way, you can click here:

12-29-2008, 03:16 PM
Fergie - thank you!!! I've tried so long to figure out how to do that and I could never figure it out!

Kid - I was just reminding you to post becuase you never posted any Christmas songs. :rolls:

Your welcome, I was afraid that my explanation wasn't clear enough

12-29-2008, 03:40 PM
Your instructions were fine. :yeah:

And I figured something else out. There are other videos on the bottom of the screen when you hit the arrow. So even though I can't see that particular video, I can see other videos. If you move over the videos, there is one that has Nikki in the picture - also Kick Start My Heart with pixs of Nikki. What an angel he is. :haha:

12-29-2008, 04:18 PM
I didn't post any christmas songs but I still posted in that thread anyway so I don't understand your complain :p

12-29-2008, 04:32 PM
Well I hope you post some songs, not just regular posts. :)

It's fun to see what others like in music. :yeah:

12-30-2008, 02:30 AM
it's not that funny, it could be dangerous

okay here it's one, it's not my ultimate favorite but I found it out the video when I was searching for some New year's eve songs and this was one of the most popular songs when the new millenium was about to start ;) and it's also a party song

From Will Smith "Will 2K" :aparty:

12-30-2008, 02:40 AM
Great choice! :yeah:

I love Will Smith. :) He's such a hoot.

12-30-2008, 12:38 PM
Reik - Noviembre Sin Ti...I love this group and song! :yeah:

I don't know why all mine say embedding disabled by request when you click on them.

Here it is if you can't view it:

12-30-2008, 07:26 PM
Thanks so much for the info Fergie! I still had my (almost) 13 yr old help me :o but it really is pretty simple

I'm finding that most of the official videos are disabled too Nicofan :( but I did find this live version of P!nk's "Let's Get this Pary Started". I think guys will appreciate this version, hubby did anyway :rolls:

12-30-2008, 08:24 PM
Just listened to the Reik video Nicofan. I don't know what the words are but I like it :yeah:

Love Will Smith Kid

12-30-2008, 10:16 PM
Good one Sparko! :yeah: Another good party song for New Year's Eve coming up.

And I can see why the guys would like it.

12-30-2008, 11:00 PM
I'm watching Happy Feet on HBO and I just love Robin Williams in the movie so I just had to share him singing My Way in Spanish.

12-31-2008, 02:56 AM
it's nice that all of you like Will Smith, I thought that you wouldn't like him or any of his funny songs :p

My uncle always sings My Way, he sounds great, unfortunatly no youtube video for that :rolls:

12-31-2008, 06:07 AM
I love "Happy Feet" and the Robin Willams penquin character Nicofan

Kid, you will have to make a video of your uncle and put it on youtube ;)

12-31-2008, 07:05 AM
OK, what I really wanted was Prince's Party Like its 1999 but it seems Prince has taken most of his songs off youtube or silenced the music on the videos :( . I did find this one from an awards show in the 80's-it not 1999 but check out the costumes and hair styles  Gotta love the 80's  .

12-31-2008, 12:57 PM
I love it!!! Prince is unique that's for sure. Not surprised either that he's had Youtube take down all his videos. All the other artists are smart enough to know that's a good way to sell CDs but not Prince.

Okay my pick for the day. One of my favorite bands - Van Halen - singing my favorite song by them: Jump! David Lee....

12-31-2008, 05:58 PM
ooh the 80's when men used to have more hair than women :rolls:

btw since I probably won't be online later since now have a Happy New Year's eve  .... have a great night partying all night long receiving the new year :bounce:

12-31-2008, 06:34 PM
You have a great night partying too! :aparty:

Sadly, I won't be partying tonight because we are having a snowstorm here today and I don't like driving in the snow. :o Didn't have big plans anyway - just was going over to a relative's house.

01-01-2009, 03:35 AM
:awww: sorry you've got crappy weather and driving conditions Nicofan. I hope you're able to have a good New Year's Eve anyway (and its getting close in eastern time zone  ) And I hope you're having a good time too Kid at your celebration :aparty:

Love "Jump" Nicofan-boy does that bring back memories  Here is another 80's memory-I was more of a Simon LeBon and British wave fan :

01-01-2009, 08:33 PM
A huge thumbs up for Duran Duran! :yeah:

I didn't mind that I couldn't go out on New Year's Eve. I've always considered it amateur's night. ;)

I watched Mamma Mia which I loved. Meryl Streep was awesome, and just seeing Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan in 70s outfits at the end was worth it.

So here's some Abba!

Dancing Queen:

Mamma Mia:

And the Winner Takes All from the movie:

01-01-2009, 08:51 PM
David Bisbal..

Stupid disabling.

01-01-2009, 08:53 PM
One of my favorite songs this year - Coldplay "Viva La Vida." Wonderful imagery in the song.

Of course the embedding is disabled. Why have this service if it never works??? :rolls:

01-01-2009, 08:58 PM
Last one for today.

Sarah McLachlan's Angel. I just love this song.

Stupid youtube. :(

01-02-2009, 01:45 AM
see? youtube isn't that great  ... thanks for all the videos girls, great songs :)

oh and I'm sorry that you had all that snow NicoFan but hey New Year is here! ;)

01-02-2009, 03:47 AM
Mama Mia is great Nicofan! :bounce: I saw it when it came out and then put it very high on my Christmas wish list-and got it  I haven't had a chance to watch it again-the rest of the family thinks they won't like it so I have to find some time when I am alone :( (or they complain so much it ruins it for me  :ras: ) Anyway, I hadn't laughed so much at a movie in years :D.

And thanks for the all the songs-esp Sarah Mac (my fav of course ;) ) It seems most of the official videos for songs are disabled (unless they're really old) That is why I've been using videos from concerts.

:rolls: on your New Year's Eve being "amatuer night"
Kid, how were your party(ies)? Did you have a good time?

We had a nice time and watched Daughtry and David Cook on the FOX NYE show (the rest of the show was really lame though ) Today we took down all the Christmas decorations and its seems really drab here now :awww: but it feels good to have it all done.

01-02-2009, 03:55 AM
Here is one of my current favorites. Beyonce used to bug me becuase I got tired of seeing her EVERYWHERE but she is really talented and this song is just so catchy I have finally given in and drank the kool aid  No point posting it here as it is also disabled for embedding but here is the link:

01-02-2009, 12:58 PM

Lucky you getting Mamma Mia for Christmas! Very nice of the family to get it for you even though they aren't fans.

Sad to take down the Christmas decorations. I took everything down yesterday too and it looks so plain now. Red is a nice accessorizing color for rooms - if I ever have the money to redecorate, I'm going to try put some red in.

Well I have to admit Ms. Sparko that I haven't drank the kool aid for Beyonce yet. :o :rolls: But yes, she is talented. :yeah:

01-03-2009, 02:04 AM
I don't know what is wrong with you people, why do you have to take down the christmas decorations in the first day of the year?!?! :o we still have the thing with the 3 Magic kings of whatever you call them so the decorations will stay at least for another 1 or 2 weeks

Well I couldn't find the video of the tv special where I saw this duet but this is the best sound version in youtube (just pictures) you can heard the great song Come fly with me by Frank Sinatra singing with Luis Miguel, here Sparko can listen a familiar song in your language and it was a great duet, I was very little when I heard it and it stayed on my mind since that time :yeah:

01-03-2009, 04:01 AM
You are stronger than me Nicofan when it comes to Beyonce  Her subliminal message is "I am everywhere restitance is futile" :rolls:

It is sad to take down the decorations Kid :awww: but we don't celebrate the 3 kings day and for those of us with real trees, they become a fire hazard :scared: It is so nice to have them up this time of year though-so cheery in warm when its so cold and the days so short :)

01-03-2009, 04:21 AM
Big thumbs up on the Sinatra/Miguel duet Kid! :bounce:

01-03-2009, 04:36 AM
My video selection for the day is another favorite of mine from the 80's-Robert Palmer in concert-roughly the about the time I saw him in concert. I still can't believe he's gone

plus Addicted to Love without the fembots

01-03-2009, 01:45 PM
Kid - great song!!! :yeah: Luis Miguel and Frank sound great together. I danced around my room listening to it. I never knew what Luis Miguel looked like. He was good looking when he was younger but just like Frank didn't age very well - just like the rest of us. :tape:

Sparko - I loved Robert Palmer. :) Good ones. :yeah: I loved it in Love Actually when they did a takeoff of the video with the women.

01-04-2009, 02:29 AM
I'm glad you both liked the song and well for me he still looks great NicoFan :p sometimes I don't like the pictures of his cd's but he looks very well live he is one of those persons that if you don't live him already, you'll love him when you see him live and such a great voice, I mean he is probably like our mexican Sinatra, that's why he is known as El sol de Mexico, which literally means The sun of Mexico :p

Oh well Sparko, even if we didn't celebrate the 3 kings, I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't take the decorations down the next day after new year's eve :rolls:

01-04-2009, 05:31 PM
Well, maybe you would keep them up anyway Kid, but after New Year's Eve, all I see when I look at our decortations is all the work to take them down and pack them up and again and I just want to get it done

My musical selections today are a couple of my families favorites-they are goofy but fun :silly: And the Weezer one is the official video but its not disabled

and the kids REALLY love this one :rolls:

01-04-2009, 08:25 PM
 I never saw that spaghetti cat song. That's great - no wonder the kids like it. :)

And really like Weezer - good choice! :yeah:

Here's Soul Asylum with Runaway Train. Love the band, love the song. David Pirner was an excellent musician - and for the gossip side, dated Winona Ryder for awhile.

Of course it is disabled - I don't know why I bother.

01-05-2009, 01:53 AM
you should try with the non official videos, I mean most of the times the official videos are also posted for different members of youtube so is just a matter of keep looking and not post the one that says "official"

01-05-2009, 02:37 AM
Very true Kid, very true. :yeah:

01-05-2009, 08:29 PM
:yeah: on Soul Asylum Nicofan. I always like them too. That video always makes me sad for those kids and those like them though.

01-05-2009, 08:32 PM
With a new season of American Idol coming up, I thought it would be fun to post a of few of the favorite (or most memorable  ) performances from past years. Here is one for Nicofan (I know its not Kid's fav though  )

01-05-2009, 08:43 PM
Here's one Kid may like better ;)

01-06-2009, 12:45 AM
You made my evening...two great videos! :yeah:

And adorable.

Supposedly he's putting out a CD this year - can't wait!

01-06-2009, 02:54 AM
Thanks for the 2nd post Sparko, not for the 1st one though :p  ... the next time I'll post some performances of your friend Taylor :haha:

01-06-2009, 03:07 AM
Thanks for the 2nd post Sparko, not for the 1st one though :p  ... the next time I'll post some performances of your friend Taylor :haha:

:scared: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Now that is just cruel Kid :speakles: :rolls:

01-07-2009, 12:10 AM
That is cruel!!!

01-07-2009, 12:11 AM
One of my all time favorites - Billy Joel! :yeah:

Moving Out...

01-07-2009, 02:57 AM
if she keeps posting videos of that lovely girl (sorry NicoFan) then I'll do it

ok a little contribution to American Idol ... the girl that should had been the winner a couple of years ago, Melinda Doolittle singing a little bit different to her usual style and I loved it :p

Have a Nice day of Bon Jovi :rocker2:

01-07-2009, 03:20 AM
thumbs up to both videos :yeah: I always liked Billy's earlier music :D (later stuff not so much....)

While I do really like Jordin Sparks Kid, I loved Melinda and was shocked when she was off the show :awww:

01-07-2009, 03:44 AM
I also like Jordin but let's face it, Melinda should had won that year

01-07-2009, 01:23 PM
:awww: I agree Kid, and the worst of it is where is Melinda now? She has not had the success of some who were voted off before their time- maybe it will come yet :rocker2:

01-07-2009, 01:27 PM
Here is the performance that made me a fan of Idol in the first place. I didn't watch the first 2 years :o (sorry Kelly  ) but this song by Fantasia gave me goosebumps-and hooked me forever on the competition

01-07-2009, 02:11 PM
Ohhh, both great songs!!! And Jon Bon is soooo cute.

But still a :ras: to Kid for saying that my Jason looks like a girl!  He does not!!!

This is from Love Actually - The Calling Wherever You Will Go. The original is disabed for embedding so had to get this one.

01-07-2009, 05:41 PM
Great song Nicofan!!! Makes me all verklemped though. :tears:

And of course Jason doesn't look like a girl  He's a cutie but not feminine.

01-08-2009, 02:58 AM
he does look like a girl, sorry :rolls: ... I know Sparko, it's a shame about Melinda :o and I didn't watch the first season either because we didn't have it here, but it doesn't matter, there are plenty of videos of Kelly on youtube and I'm a fan of her now :rocker2:

oh I love that song NicoFan, thanks for posting it! :yeah:

01-08-2009, 05:05 AM
He does not Kid :ras:

Now, here is the first real rocker on AI, Bo Bice. I soooo wanted him to win but of course Carrie Underwood did. Still 2nd was still great and he paved the way for Daughtry and David Cook :rocker2:

01-09-2009, 02:21 AM
The real rocker of Am Idol :)

Well since today I remember that NicoFan was saying that she liked Luis Miguel when he was younger then I decided to post like the most famous song of Luis Miguel, this is the song that marked the end of his career as a teenager and the begining of the same as a man, and NicoFan can see his big hair in that time  you can't say that you know who Luis Miguel is if you don't like this song :)

La incondicional ...

01-09-2009, 03:45 AM
Well I know when that was made just from the "before" hair  Of course I don't know exactly what he 's singing about Kid, but its a nice melody :yeah:

01-09-2009, 01:39 PM
La incondicional is the best song ever and LuisMi looks so good in the video :hearts:

01-09-2009, 05:05 PM
I admit, I don't know much about Luis Miguel. :o I know they play him on my Spanish music station but I can't understand the DJs talking because they speak spanish too fast so no clue when they say who is singing which song.

I must have seen another person in a picture because he was an old guy....have no clue who I was looking at. :rolls: I checked out Luis Miguel on Google Images and he's not that old - and he does still look good!!! :yeah:

And love the song!!! No wonder everyone loves him...muy romantico... :)

01-10-2009, 01:50 AM
Yeah probably you didn't look a picture of him, he is not that old lol and he still looks great :yeah: ... he also have up tempo songs but this is like the song when if you were not a fan of his, you became his fan after this, besides the video is great and the lyrics are also great, I'll only kind of translate the chorus

You ... the same as yesterday,
the inconditional, the one who doesn't expect anything,
You ... the same as yesterday,
the one who I didn't know how to love
I don't know why, my friend ... you

:hearts: :rolls:

01-10-2009, 03:43 AM
Yes, muy romantico Nicofan :hearts:
Thanks for the translation Kid! :D

01-10-2009, 04:12 PM
You're welcome Sparko and yes, it's kind of romantic

01-10-2009, 07:53 PM
Yes, thanks for the translation Kid! :yeah:

This is mine for the day - such a simple song and yet so powerful.

And I love the video so here is the link for the real deal.

Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly":

01-11-2009, 02:44 AM
what does bubbly mean huh? :p

01-11-2009, 04:42 AM
Love that song Nicofan-thanks for the link!

01-11-2009, 11:00 AM
I love that song too, thanks :yeah:

01-12-2009, 01:45 AM
I can't remember where I have heard that song before  :p

01-12-2009, 02:15 AM
Well I'll continue instructing you into the Luis Miguel world  and since I know that all of you liked his long hair, here it's one of those old up tempo songs with the long hair, besides, it'll be a treat for the boys and the girls and also, for those still having cold weather :p

Cuando calienta el sol ... which means something like when the sun is warming up :p

01-12-2009, 12:29 PM
Love the song and like the young Luis Miguel. :yeah: :woohoo:

Especially love the warm weather scenes considering that I was shoveling all day yesterday. :(

And in keeping with beach scenes, here's David Lee Roth singing California Girls: :)

01-12-2009, 02:43 PM
 more 80's hair! The sun is not the only thing heating up in that Luis Miguel video Kid ;). This morning when I was at Holiday (gas station chain here) the clerk was talking about how she is going to Cabo San Lucas next week and I am more jealous then ever now :awww: the beaches look soooooo wonderful in those videos......

01-12-2009, 04:35 PM
I really love this song: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol :inlove: ... I chose this video since everyone here watch Greys Anatomy :)

01-12-2009, 05:12 PM
Great song!!! And great video choice. :yeah: I don't care how silly it is for Izzie to be seeing a long gone Denny this year - I'm just glad Denny's back!!!

01-12-2009, 07:15 PM
Thanks for the song and video Fergie :yeah: I loved the Denny/Izzy storyline and missed Denny on the show. Then I kind of got tired of the show by the end of last season and stopped watching it. I joked the only thing that would win me back were if Denny came back.....imagine my surprise when I found out he was back!!! :rolls: Now I have start hoping for repeats to catch up :retard:

01-13-2009, 03:05 AM
I'm a true psycho, I have seen that episode (when Denny dies) everytime that is repeated here and every time I cried even more than Izzie :silly: :rolls:

I know Luis Miguel is really hot in that video, and even after he cut his hair off he continued taking his hair the way he used to do it when he had long hair  ... actually girls that video was filmed in Acapulco, I don't know how nice could be the weather right now in Cabo, so I'm not sure if the guy at the gas station will have such a great weather :rolls: oh damn, that's why Nico and I will miss Acapulco this year :awww:

01-13-2009, 04:41 AM
Unless there is a hurricane on the way, Cabo weather will be better than here Kid. :p Although I know better than to expect symapthy from you :awww: even though we're going to have -30 below wind chill tomorrow morning

01-13-2009, 04:53 AM
This song is my current "feel good song" it will almost always put me in a good mood :D

01-13-2009, 12:46 PM
Oh nice pick Sparko! And yeah a cold Cabo is better than a cold North anyday! We're not getting that cold but will be around zero degrees at night in a couple of days. :bigcry:

Okay - time to rock out a bit!!! :rocker:

Nine Inch Nails - The Hand that Feeds - a live version. I wanted the official video because it was before Trent cut his hair. :sobbing: But alas embedding disabled.

01-14-2009, 02:07 AM
an official video disabled? I can't believe it :o

01-14-2009, 04:08 AM
Nice change of pace Nicofan :yeah:

01-14-2009, 04:31 AM
In honor of AI starting tonight, here is the audition of last year's winner, David Cook:

During the competition, the performance that hooked me(thank goodness he lost the fauxhawk and the soul patch ;) ) :

And Finally, his first single from his first album (diabled of course....:awww:):

So, yeah, I'm still crushing on the boy, despite my advanced years :o :rolls:

01-14-2009, 07:40 PM
 Sparko! Crushes are fine for any age. :yeah:

Great choices. :yeah:

01-14-2009, 07:42 PM
One of my favorite songs this past year - Verve - Bittersweet Symphony:

01-15-2009, 02:08 AM
that song is a classic NicoFan :yeah:

if you wouldn't have said it Sparko, no one would have noticed that you liked David C

01-15-2009, 02:26 AM
Sparko got to see her David Cook quite a bit tonight. :yeah:

01-15-2009, 02:57 AM
I love that song too Nicofan :yeah:

that song is a classic NicoFan :yeah:

if you wouldn't have said it Sparko, no one would have noticed that you liked David C

I'm so glad is not obvious Kid!!! :p :rolls:

Sparko got to see her David Cook quite a bit tonight. :yeah:

Yes I did! :yippee: Nice bonus :D (and it was similar to my little David festival I posted above   )
And you got to see more of your boy Jason, Nicofan! His brother is not what I expected at all but their conversation was hilarious considering some of the things talked about on this forum....I better not say anymore! :tape: ( except that I perfer Jason :yeah: )

A lot of great contestants tonight and compelling stories and backgrounds. One guy I like esp, reminds me of Elliot, plus his story is just so :tears:

01-16-2009, 03:19 AM
Time for a FUN video-this is a very catchy song  :

01-17-2009, 02:07 AM
that song and that video :rolls:

well let's continue with the up tempo songs ... one of my favs of Kelly Clarkson, I love the rocker sound in this song and of course, the lyrics :p "I hope the rign you gave to her turns her finger green" :rolls:

01-17-2009, 05:49 PM
I love Kate Perry! :yeah: And that is a great video.

And always like Ms. Kelly! :yeah:

Since we're on Nico's forum, we have to have one of his favorite groups...La Ley with Aqui. (Beto Cuevas is hot.)

01-17-2009, 08:03 PM
I(and my whole family  ) love Kelly, Kid! Thanks for posting that one (I think she was very, very angry when she wrote that song! )

Great idea posting a video by one of Nico's favorites Nicofan :yeah: I really like their sound and the video was very intruiging-wish I knew what the song was about :silly:

01-18-2009, 02:32 AM
I guess Kelly was kind of angry but I still laugh about the finger green :rolls:

Great video NicoFan! I love La Ley and I love that song and of course Mr Cuevas is sexy

Well I'll try to translate the chorus of the song for you :p

Here , I have the feeling that here, I'll not drag anything since here I'll only live my today and now, here.

01-19-2009, 04:06 AM
Thanks for the translation Kid :wavey: Video makes a little more sense now

01-19-2009, 04:18 AM
I was listening to this song tonight and missing hubby  (who is gone till Friday). I love this song-its more of a love song for people who have been together awhile I think so it fits us better than "our song" from when we dated(which was "Wicked" by Chris Issak btw). And Gavin Rossdale just happens to be married to Gwen Stefani, one of hubby's favorites. Of course its been disabled :awww: so here is the link:

01-19-2009, 04:21 AM
Ok, feeling a little sentimental. Have to post this one now too

01-19-2009, 11:00 AM

01-19-2009, 12:55 PM
A  for Susan!!! And great it! :yeah:

01-19-2009, 03:24 PM
I really love this song: The Reason by Hoobastank ;)

"I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
Thats why i need you to hear

I've found out a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you"

01-19-2009, 06:19 PM
Excellent! :yeah: Love this song too... :)

01-19-2009, 07:12 PM
Love that song Fergie! :yeah:

Yeah, Gavin is a rocker at heart but its nice to see the "softer" side of him in that song.

01-20-2009, 03:09 AM

01-22-2009, 12:07 AM
Well I'm still posting songs in spanish :p which is weird in me since I always think that I like more songs in english than in spanish

This is Alejandra Guzman who is like the best rocker girl that we have in Mexico, the song "Soy solo un secreto" which means "I'm only a secret" and the translation of the chorus

"I'm only a secret
That lives inside you
Every moment, I say your name in silence
And this never ends ... "

01-22-2009, 02:07 AM
I like Alejandra Kid :yeah: Thanks for the video! (and the translation of the chorus  )

01-22-2009, 11:42 AM
 Sparko - yup, should be Nico's fans' theme song.

And a  for Fergie.

I like the song too Kid! Definite thumbs up. :yeah:

Here's my pick for the day - Hey There Delilah by Plain White Ts. Heard it on the radio yesterday - a couple years old but I still love it.

01-22-2009, 02:07 PM
I still love that song too Nicofan! :yeah:

01-23-2009, 03:17 AM
Nice song :yeah:

01-23-2009, 04:17 AM
When my butt is dragging (and it drags a lot these days  ) this song can really "Wind me Up" again ;) I think its kinda cool how she incorporates that song form the Sound of Music and it actually works  (or at least I think it does :) )

01-24-2009, 02:12 AM
Steffani's videos are crazier every time that she makes a new one :rolls:

01-24-2009, 03:04 AM
ok my pick of the day ... I don't know how this song took me so much time to post it since it has become like my ultimate favorite song

Leona Lewis .. Bleeding love

01-25-2009, 02:22 AM
Excellent Kid! :yeah:

Today's selection: James Blunt's You're Beautiful. :)

01-25-2009, 11:57 AM
2 excellent songs :yeah: ... Bleeding Love :inlove:

My pick of the day: You Give Me Something by James Morrison (he is like a baby James Blunt )

01-26-2009, 02:12 AM
I think I haven't heard before that baby James Blunt  nice song :yeah:

01-26-2009, 03:27 AM
James Morrison is new to me too, but I like him-thank for introducing him Fergie!

Love Leona's voice Kid! (got a little tired of the song-in was overplayed here but I do like it :yeah: ) James Blunt's song :hearts: :tears: -I'm sure his love life has improved since he wrote that song  Nicofan

01-26-2009, 03:31 AM
Oh yeah Kid, that video is a little crazy :silly: but there is "no doubt" that Gwen is an original ;) :rolls:

(that's that kind of joke my kids would roll their eyes at yet I am compelled to make them anyway-sorrrrrrrrrrry you were my victim this time Kid  :haha: )

01-27-2009, 04:17 AM
I have to admit that I had to read twice your post to get the joke and why I was a victim :rolls: ... nice one

01-27-2009, 01:05 PM
Thanks for not doing a "rolleyes" at me Kid

01-28-2009, 01:45 AM
Everyone has been posting such good songs! Love the James Morrison - never heard of him. And forgot to tell Sparko that I got such a kick out of Gwin's song. The Sound of Music was my favorite movie when I was a kid. :yeah: Also never heard of Leona Lewis - so another great artist to listen too.

But I'm having a brain cramp here - can't think of what I want to post.

Going to have to go off and do some youtube surfing.

01-28-2009, 02:10 AM
I can't believe that you haven't heard Leona before NicoFan :p ... she's been everywhere beside, she is Simon Cowell's great discovery so he mentions her everywhere!! :rolls:

01-28-2009, 02:29 AM
okay since I'm not in blank like NicoFan, here it goes, my fav song of Van Halen

I wanna hold you and say
We can't throw this all away
Tell me you won't go, you won't go
You have to hear me say

I can't stop lovin' you
And no matter what I say or do
You know my heart is true, oh
I can't stop lovin' you

01-28-2009, 02:40 AM
Kid, you took my band!

I love Van Halen....good pick! :yeah: Though I'm more an "old" Van Halen fan, back when they had David Lee Roth. :) But this is a great song.

01-28-2009, 02:41 AM
I don't know why I never heard of Leona. I need to pay better attention.

01-28-2009, 02:48 AM
sorry :p .. and yes I know lots of fans preffer the "first" Van Halen but I can't help myself, I like this song sooo much :bounce:

it's weird that you haven't heard about her, she was even in one of the Am Idol concerts of the last season :p

01-28-2009, 02:50 AM
Yeah, Leona is Simon's big find from the British version (and the original) of Idol-she was on as a guest singer last year toward the end.

Speaking of Idol, I just read Melinda finally has a cd out and it got a very good review from Entertainment Weekly. Here is a performance of hers from Idol and a preview of her first single from her cd. :

01-28-2009, 03:04 AM
Sparko you have to get me a copy of that CD!!! :)

01-28-2009, 03:17 AM
Will do Kid, I plan on buying it next time I go shopping!

01-28-2009, 03:44 AM
because we'll have it here like 3 months later :p

01-29-2009, 12:13 AM
Wow...that sounds like it going to be a great CD! :yeah: I always really like Melinda...she was "real." Whatever that means...

My pick today - A Fine Frenzy's "Lifesize." I was searching for youtube videos with Paul Bettany interviews and came across this - really like this song.

01-29-2009, 02:58 AM
 about Melinda being real :rolls:

nice pick for today NicoFan :yeah:

01-29-2009, 03:15 AM
Cool Nicofan! I really like the song too-thanks for finding and posting it! (now I want to see the movie again  They have to make sequels, the characters are so great! )

01-29-2009, 06:05 PM
My pick of the day: Inevitable by Shakira :yeah: ... A very nice song when Shakira was a good songwriter :p

01-30-2009, 01:54 AM
oh the good times :p :rolls: .... what happened to this girl?!?! :retard: :haha:

01-30-2009, 03:34 AM
She performed at President Obama's main inaugural ball and I hardly recognized her :awww: Blond, straight hair singing a song that was not right for her voice at all-kind of country-western-ISH!!!! Go back to your roots please Shakira (in all ways ;) )

01-30-2009, 03:40 AM
:sobbing: What are you thinking girl???? :retard:

01-30-2009, 02:11 PM
Emilio Estefan happened to Shakira, I can't believe the crappy music that she is doing lately :o ... And the last video is just :scared:

01-31-2009, 01:36 AM
I like Shakira, but yeah, her new music is crap.

Here's Nickelback "Gotta Be Somebody" - love this song!

01-31-2009, 02:51 AM
Is that stupid thing of being more "international" when most of the latin singers want to sing in english or to be part of the american music industry, they start to sing and to make crappy music, that's not music at all .. I mean the songs of Ricky Martin before La vida loca, those were the songs, the same with Shakira and many others ... I hate to see her blond

That's why I thank God that Luis Miguel became famous around the world without doing that or singing in english

01-31-2009, 01:37 PM

I've thought myself about certain singers or bands - like Reik or Chayanne - that they should do some songs in English because I thought they could be more popular in the U.S. and around the world.

But yeah, it loses something in the translation and doesn't really work.

I can see why they do it though - more exposure and that means more money.

01-31-2009, 01:48 PM
Speaking of Chayanne - Caprichosa...

Embedding disabled and I can't find another video version that I like so click here:

02-01-2009, 02:54 AM
yeah but they still make a lot of money even without singing in english, and that's not the main problem, the problem with those artists is that they tend to change their roots and to sing more "popular" songs in order to being more famous over there ... Chayanne even made that movie with Vanesa Williams without singing crappy music :rolls:

02-01-2009, 02:59 AM
okay this is something a little bit "different" :p these guys are becoming very popular on youtube and I just discovered them yesterday thanks to my brother and cousin .... a really funny version of Wannabe, I'm warning you, you'll laugh until you die :haha:

02-02-2009, 09:07 PM
 Kid!

Okay, we desperately need to rock out a bit here.

Joan Jett - I love rock n' roll. :rocker:

Who said women can't rock out???? Joan proves them wrong! :fiery:

I saw Joan Jett about 5-6 times at a very cool smaller venue...miss those days.

02-03-2009, 12:27 AM
Its about time I caught up with the videos

Kid, those kids are hilarious!!! :rolls:

Nicofan-thanks for the Joan Jett video :rocker2: That brings back memories!

02-03-2009, 02:12 AM
Wannabe :haha:

Joan Jett rocks :rocker: ... Kristen Stewart aka Bella Swan is going to represent Joan in the movie The Runaways, I'm not sure if she is the right actress for that :p

02-03-2009, 02:53 AM
you're welcome guys :p the japanese or chinese guys are so hilarious :rolls:

Thanks for your latest video NicoFan :yeah: ... oh my I'm already tired of the Bella Swan of the books and now it seems I'll be getting really tired of the Bella Swain in the movies

02-03-2009, 08:52 PM
Here's some more music to rock out to Nicofan :rocker2:
