Berankis will have problems with a rest. Tomorrow on sunday he still be in Vilnius, Davis Cup match Lithuania - Georgia. After that he will have long fly to Japan, so not much time for rest but Alcaide is a trash and will be defeated ;]

Alcaide is a netrusher, so not the type of player Berankis has a lot of experience against. I think he stands a good chance at defeating the youngster.

I think the Gooch is in pretty good form if you take away his retirement in Delray Beach the other week. If he maintains the form he shouldn't have too many troubles progressing to the Semis.

The injury was a light one and he was fit to play the doubles later on in the day ........

However He has also won the Doubles Semifinal 6-4 6-4 defeating the japanese pair Aida/Matsunaga

I have yet to process the years between 1981-1991, but concerning all other years, he would indeed have the record.
