Anyone feeling the need to disagree with my opinion on the shot why bother getting involed?

I loved this shot and I am on the lookout for anyone with a picture of this(vs nadal wimbledon 2008).

Someone said they have it recorded and could take a shot(I can't remember the posters name because the thread had been deleted) but I would love it if they could take any sort of picture of this shot because I cant find anything. Would really appreciate it.

Thanks you.:)

lol

The forehand from Nadal at 7-7 was better than Federer's bh.

It was a normal saved match point, like we see in many other matches. The backhand was nothing special technically, as Nadal's attacking forehand wasn't good. Shot of the year means that it has to be a fantastic point/shot and not only a special situation.

Saving a championship point at Wimbledon when being under so much pressure makes it good enough for me to consider it one of the year's best shots :)

Federer had to hit such incredible shots to simply stay in the match :o

Because he was always playing catch up and had been playing atrociously for the first 3 and a half sets. Well 2 and a half.

By the way why are we still talking about this? :tape:

Can't believe you created yet another thread about this joke match and pedestrian shot.

MTF is reaching new lows.

You do know that those two sentences make you look like someone who started watching tennis today at 8 am. Oh, wait, that's probably true!

Great shots in that tiebreak.

But I was actually thinking of the backhand return winner that Fed made down championship point in the fifth set.

When someone thinks that crap shot off a ludicrously bad approach shot was the SHOT OF THE YEAR, it says a lot more than you think, really.

Thats been the case throughout his career against Nadal; nothing new and surprising actually. He just can't handle that ridiculous topspin forehand; and just add the athleticism and missile like passing shots and we know the end result :o

The match was full of great shots but that particular bh shot is overrated. He still lost. In the end, he couldn't save the championship point that mattered.

was a good shot, TBH he tried his best but was a tough ask to beat Nadal on that green clay court and with bad light and mono

props to you real #1

Actually, that's the only moment of the match I'm willing to watch again.

The rest of it is so painful to endure.

I don't know if this was a only routine bh as when you carefully watch the ball flying it is seems that it has a huge spin... I guess nadal's fh was not that easy to control due to the top spin he put in it and therefore you can say this was a hell of a bh, not the best shot of the year though...
