Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:40 PM anybody got coverage of the Nadal-Hewitt match? What's happening? Nadal really good or Hewitt really bad (as usual)? Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:41 PM anybody got coverage of the Nadal-Hewitt match? What's happening? Nadal really good or Hewitt really bad (as usual)? good question, I wanna know that too Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:42 PM Wow, Hewitt is winning some points on his own serve, it's a miracle! Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 09:43 PM Eye! hewitt can win 16 75 62 without problems.. he has the best head on the tour yet (with roger and nadal) Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:43 PM He's actually won his service game for the first time in the match. Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:45 PM Eye! hewitt can win 16 75 62 without problems.. he has the best head on the tour yet (with roger and nadal) I know, but it's just fun to see Hewitt struggle, even though it's only on the realtime scoreboard. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:45 PM Eye! hewitt can win 16 75 62 without problems.. he has the best head on the tour yet (with roger and nadal) I agree, when playing against Hewitt you cannot say you're the winner until you win the very last point Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 09:46 PM I know, but it's just fun to see Hewitt struggle, even though it's only on the realtime scoreboard. Yes, its fun  Neely 07-28-2004, 09:47 PM COME ON, Lleyton!!!!! :o :clap2: Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:47 PM I agree, when playing against Hewitt you cannot say you're the winner until you win the very last point Unless you're Roger Federer, then you know before the match you're gonna beat the crap out of him and win at least one set 6-0. fco253 07-28-2004, 09:48 PM Zabaleta and Henman have just played THE point of the week... Hagar 07-28-2004, 09:48 PM Lleyton has not played for a while, might have some adaptation problems. GO LLEYTON!!! Ballbuster 07-28-2004, 09:51 PM Pick it up Hewitt     :( :( wtf, start kicking ass Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:51 PM You could also say that Lleyton has had a good preperation for the hardcourt season whereas Nadal just flew in and played alot on clay. I'd say Nadal should have adaption problems not Hewitt. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:51 PM Zabaleta and Henman have just played THE point of the week... How was it?? Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:51 PM Unless you're Roger Federer, then you know before the match you're gonna beat the crap out of him and win at least one set 6-0. yep, but that only works for 2004 though Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:53 PM we're still in 2004, so it still works :) Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 09:53 PM vby the way everyone just to answer how are the players playing... nadals on fire forcing the error from hewitt!! but hewitt is serving a lot of aces Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:55 PM I've seen quite a lot of matches this year in which Hewitt just hangs on because of his serve. Wouldn't have thought that a couple of years ago. Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 09:56 PM Unless you're Roger Federer, then you know before the match you're gonna beat the crap out of him and win at least one set 6-0. Davis Cup 2003 Semifinal for example? Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:57 PM Nalbandian finally breaks through the Youzhny serve: *4-2 Nalbandian Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:57 PM I've seen quite a lot of matches this year in which Hewitt just hangs on because of his serve. Wouldn't have thought that a couple of years ago. right, I think it's the shot he's improves the most Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 09:59 PM Davis Cup 2003 Semifinal for example? yes, why not, it's probably the best example ;) Cervantes 07-28-2004, 09:59 PM Davis Cup 2003 Semifinal for example? Ah well, we all make mistakes. At 2-0 in sets Federer probably was feeling sorry for Hewitt in front of his own fans. But he rectified that at the Australian Open this year. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:00 PM Nadal in little trouble, 0-30 Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:01 PM :yeah: Nalby!!! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:01 PM but it's 40/30 now :) Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:03 PM bp Hewitt - back to deuce :) Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:03 PM Breakpoint for the Aussie Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:03 PM Ah well, we all make mistakes. At 2-0 in sets Federer probably was feeling sorry for Hewitt in front of his own fans. But he rectified that at the Australian Open this year. Im not fan of Hewitt but i like so much this guy. But now this year Federer is too strong for all, including Hewitt of course but Nadal is not Federer (yet) Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:03 PM 2nd bp for Hewitt - save it Nadal!! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:04 PM phew saved again, DEUCE Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:06 PM this could be a crucial game in the match, i think it's now 4 or 5 times deuce Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:06 PM BP hewitt again.... came on, Nadal also has a great head to play tennis and managed the bps quite easy Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:06 PM game point Nadal - DEUCE - BP Hewitt again NOOO Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:07 PM Hewitt breaks, 4*2 too bad fco253 07-28-2004, 10:07 PM David takes first 6-3 jazz_girl 07-28-2004, 10:07 PM Vamos David! Took thr first set 6-3 Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:07 PM 4-2 shit! Cervantes we are the more richiest eh, in vcash :) Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:08 PM 0-30 wow, came on Neely 07-28-2004, 10:08 PM I've seen quite a lot of matches this year in which Hewitt just hangs on because of his serve. Wouldn't have thought that a couple of years ago. wow, probably we have seen many different matches of Lleyton recently... because I remember enough matches where his serve totally let him down, and was serving around or even under 40% 1st serves and let's be honest, Lleyton's serve isn't that great so far in this match either  the number of aces is okay though Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:08 PM 0-30 Rafael, break back!! jazz_girl 07-28-2004, 10:08 PM Can anyone see that match? Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:08 PM lol, hewitt is already 0-30 in his next service game Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:09 PM 3 BP NADAL!!! Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:09 PM 0-40 :O Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:09 PM Can anyone see that match? unfortunately I cannot Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:10 PM And he breaks back!!! 4-3 now Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:11 PM Why this fuck java scoreboard not include the number of winners ? Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:12 PM I'm gonna bet for whoever wins this match certain amount of money in their next match versus Novak. I'm sure either Rafa (hopefully) or Lleyton will reach at least 3rd Round Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:14 PM Why this fuck java scoreboard not include the number of winners ? yeah, and I have the feeling Nadal has hit A LOT of them... fco253 07-28-2004, 10:14 PM This TMS type of scoreboards are the worst of all: if you go to stats, there is no refresh, also no winners, it's really poor... Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:14 PM and it's 4-4!!! come on Rafael, break again and finish it 6-1, 6-4 in straight sets! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:15 PM and it's 4-4!!! come on Rafael, break again and finish it 6-1, 6-4 in straight sets! actually, I don't care about the score as long as Rafael wins... Tennis Fool 07-28-2004, 10:16 PM Rafa! That will be embarrassing for Hewitt to go out 1st round in straights to an 18 yo. I've never seen Rafa play, although I did see him at the Moya match last year, USO. Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:17 PM wow, probably we have seen many different matches of Lleyton recently... because I remember enough matches where his serve totally let him down, and was serving around or even under 40% 1st serves and let's be honest, Lleyton's serve isn't that great so far in this match either  the number of aces is okay though You are right, a lot of times his service percentage is under 50%. I'm just saying I've seen quite a few matches in which he's not as good from the baseline as his opponent, but then surprisingly his serve can give him some free points to hang on. In the long run his service breaks down, the percentage drops and he still loses, cause he's not good enough at the moment to compete with the best in the business. Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:17 PM I'm gonna bet for whoever wins this match certain amount of money in their next match versus Novak. I'm sure either Rafa (hopefully) or Lleyton will reach at least 3rd Round I always put money on Nadal... Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:18 PM 5-4*, now HOLD! Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:19 PM You just know Hewitt is gonna bring this one to a third set... Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:19 PM I'd just hate if Hewitt take this to the tie-breaker, wins it again (as in the AO) and then wins the whole match. I hope this does not happen... Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:20 PM You just know Hewitt is gonna bring this one to a third set... I think that's what will happen, but that does not mean Nadal cannot finish it in straight sets... don't underestimate him Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:22 PM I wasn't talking about a tie-breaker, I've got a feeling he might break, this game. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:22 PM hewitt two points away from taking the set... SET POINT HEWITT AAARRGGHH!! I know, what I understood from your post was that, no matter which way, Hewitt is gonna win the 2nd set Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:23 PM I don't underestimate Nadal, it's just I've seen Hewitt do it time and time again. Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:24 PM another Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:24 PM 2nd SET POINT HEWITT... SAVED AGAIN! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:25 PM I don't underestimate Nadal, it's just I've seen Hewitt do it time and time again. me too, I've seen him do this many times, but, of course, not always... Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:25 PM What a bull, saved again. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:26 PM 3RD SET POINT LLEYTON --> SAVED!! Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:27 PM 3 set points saved. Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM anothet SP for hewitt Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM hewwie finally took the 2nd set Hagar 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM YES, second set for Lleyton. Deboogle!. 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM this third set better go fast :fiery: Raquel 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM Well done Lleyton :bounce: Come on David :) Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:30 PM OK Rafa, now just focus and forget that 2nd set. You can win the match, of course you can! Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:31 PM 6-4 for Hewitt, no problem this is not moya or ferrero, he can take the third easy Neely 07-28-2004, 10:31 PM This TMS type of scoreboards are the worst of all: if you go to stats, there is no refresh, also no winners, it's really poor... OMG, please relax... this TMS scoreboards are pretty much the best because they update quickly  ... and at least they show point by points updates unlike at many other tournaments where the livescore is crap :tape: sure, they could also include the number of winners or unforced errors, but most scoreboard don't do that either, so I don't understand why they are "the worst" :o Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:32 PM You just know Hewitt is gonna bring this one to a third set... I told you so. It's like regular clockwork, the other guy plays the better tennis and still Hewitt is in the match. You just have to overpower him like Roddick or Federer can do, otherwise he'll keep coming back at you. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:33 PM OMG, please relax... this TMS scoreboards are pretty much the best because they update quickly  ... and at least they show point by points updates unlike at many other tournaments where the livescore is crap :tape: sure, they could also include the number of winners or unforced errors, but most scoreboard don't do that either, so I don't understand why they are "the worst" :o Usually, the better the tournament is, the better the scoreboard is. So the Grand Slams' are the best, then the TMS (most of them) and some other tournaments... Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:35 PM I told you so. It's like regular clockwork, the other guy plays the better tennis and still Hewitt is in the match. You just have to overpower him like Roddick or Federer can do, otherwise he'll keep coming back at you. You're quite right. But why can't players who win the 1st set win also the secons det (which is what happens very rearely)?? They just can't keep at that level or what? Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:35 PM Nalbandian down a break in the second, Henman serving for the match at 5-1. Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:35 PM NOOOO NALBY whatya playing at!! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:35 PM 6-4 for Hewitt, no problem this is not moya or ferrero, he can take the third easy what do you mean this is not moya or ferrero? Neely 07-28-2004, 10:37 PM break Hewitt! *2-0 although I like Rafa, I like Lleyton more and he is just unbelievable when he is fighting and I like his tempter and emotions very much too bad I can't watch this match now  but I hope Lleyton wins this match now, don't lose serve again! Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:38 PM Look at that: HEWITT HAS WON THE LAST 12 POINTS Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:38 PM Against Hewitt, you have to continually put the balls away, make the winners. He won't make the errors, especially when it really matters. That's the problem for Nadal, to keep up a really high standard for two sets. Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:38 PM Nadal is still to win a point in this set Raquel 07-28-2004, 10:39 PM break Hewitt! *2-0 although I like Rafa, I like Lleyton more and he is just unbelievable when he is fighting and I like his tempter and emotions very much too bad I can't watch this match now  but I hope Lleyton wins this match now, don't lose serve again! Actually Neely he is really quiet today, but playing well now. I am so glad Nicolas won for you Neely! You must have enjoyed that one :) Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:39 PM What's going on with Nalbandian, anyone got coverage of his match? Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:39 PM OK, Nadal won a point, so Hewitt won 14 points in a row. That's not normal against a guy like Nadal... it remembers me what happened in lleyton - JCF match in Davis Cup at the end of the 4th set and beggining of the 5th Yashirobai 07-28-2004, 10:40 PM 3-0 Lleyton... bye Nadal Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:41 PM RAFAEL :fiery: MajorcanBoy89 07-28-2004, 10:42 PM GO NADAL!!!!!!!!!1 Cervantes 07-28-2004, 10:44 PM And Nalbandian just lost the second set to Youzhny 6-3 Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:44 PM Its only a break, nadal was 2 break down with ferrer en stutgart and finally take the set.. came on , you can Raul-Lopez 07-28-2004, 10:44 PM 3-0 Lleyton... bye Nadal Not yet i think Raquel 07-28-2004, 10:45 PM David  Come on David, fight! :bounce: Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:48 PM come on nalby!!!!! I am so glad Nicolas won for you Neely! You must have enjoyed that one :) yeah, that was really a big win for me :D it's not that I dislike Marat, he's IMO a good guy also and can play awesome tennis, but Nicolas is my #1 favorite over every player and I'm so glad that he could win this! :clap2: :D I had to wait so long until he plays so great fco253 07-28-2004, 10:49 PM OMG, please relax... this TMS scoreboards are pretty much the best because they update quickly  ... and at least they show point by points updates unlike at many other tournaments where the livescore is crap :tape: sure, they could also include the number of winners or unforced errors, but most scoreboard don't do that either, so I don't understand why they are "the worst" :o You can't compare them to some little tourneys boards, we are talking about TMS Series, very rich tourneys and besides they can split the cost between nine, so I think there is a deficit there ... too much of a gap between let's say Wimby and them... Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:50 PM is the websites live scores for you down as well? no! Aleksa's Laydee 07-28-2004, 10:51 PM david holds, come on break him!!! Obviously he will not be quite at his best here today. I just hope he wins this. Vamos David! Benneteau was playing great until he strained his neck dodging Andy's forehand winner and fell backwards. After that, he couldn't move his neck and couldn't play anything. I don't know why he didn't just retire after that; he just went through the motions. Hope he gets better soon. . It was a very tight and nice match until that shot. Lalitha 07-29-2004, 08:44 AM This tournament has already gone down in flames.
