So our local radio station is giving away tickets to a big tennis classic out here in Baltimore. It's a call in type of deal. I emailed the producer simply asking if there was any other way to win since I cant have a phone in my workplace due to government contracts and fear ofpictures being sent or some crap lol.

He e-mailed me back and said he was gonna jus give me a set! The big name at the event is Serena Williams. a bunch of big name local tennis players and sme of our baseball and football players will be playing a few sets!

This is my first tennis event and I'm so excited for this! What should I expect lol. I've never been to a tennis event so I'm assuming taking a bigger camera in is fine?

I hope to go to a real tourney next season. Gotta save up for the US Open or Miami lol nothing ever comes around my way. It's pretty sweet I get media passes so I can go just about everywhere.

I've been to this a few times. Take a camera and a Sharpie and have fun. Last year, someone in my row had a SLR and it was fine. Hell, I paid $100 for my ticket, I should've emailed the same person you did.

If ur local 98Rock (97.9fm) is giving a pair way every morning. I think november 3rd is the last dayay for the contest. They announce it pretty early though like alittle after 6am.

Guess I should bring a fresh can of tennis balls also to hopefully get signed.

Man you'd have to pay me major money to sit and watch Serena play. You got the tickets because no one else was interested

It's not my local station, I live 2 hours from Baltimore. I had no idea they were giving away tickets. Then again, after last year's turn out, I'm not surprised.
I got a prime autograph seat for my money, that was the only way I was going to spend that much. Well, it's also for charity, so it's not that bad. Besides, I like seeing the local pro athletes (baseball, football) who come out. I am also going to be on the way to NYC the next day, so I figured I'd just go, stay the night, then get to NYC to see a play or two over the weekend. The timing just worked for me. If it had been during the week (like it has been before), then forget it.

Well, at least there will be some eye candy for the guys. I wonder which football players will show up this year.

Here is the link to my photo album from this year's event: http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=Smitty8&P=&AID=5629024&CID=2100193&T=1&E=Y&ILD=4783651
I also included some other random photos at the end from the rest of my weekend, but most of them are from the tennis.
