Lily, she's got pix of Rogi in Toronto.
09-03-2002, 07:25 AM
harry you were close. It's not dutch but swiss German.
Unfortunately the Roger vs. Max match was shiftet to court 7 which means no TV pictures as there are no cameras on this court!! Well wen't to bed anyways couldn't keep my eyes open any longer at 2 AM!! Should have stayed up and cheered for Roger anyways. He could have needed it and now it's too late as he lost to Max.....
09-03-2002, 07:35 AM
Yep, he lost 3 straight sets...
But that's tennis, and we should be glad that he didn't lose in the first round, at least that vicious cycle was broken. 4th round, after what he's been through...he can keep his head up high...
09-03-2002, 09:17 AM
Yes he can he did far better than expected....
.... and still I feel sorry for him....
.... and us fans ;)
09-03-2002, 10:01 AM
Aw man Im upset but proud. He did better than I expected.Yeah 4th round is good. :) Always behind him :)Well done
09-03-2002, 10:23 AM

That was Tagalog Doris, sorry I got carried away! Roger's next tourney? :bounce: :bounce:
09-03-2002, 10:41 AM
Hi Mrs. B, were you able to watch Roger's match with Max? What happened?
09-03-2002, 10:52 AM
Doris just said there was won't be no replays on Swiss tv today as there were no cameras on the court where they played .(ridiculous!)
ur question on what's next for him--i think it's European Indoors season...i will definitely be in Basel in October. (about an hours drive from here) Already ordered tickets.
09-04-2002, 12:14 AM
very jealous of Mrs. B
09-04-2002, 07:01 AM
awww, Lily. Wish you could come along...;) if i am able to take pix i'll post it here, for sure.
09-04-2002, 07:27 PM

09-05-2002, 03:07 PM
Here I am!!
Rocking like a huricane ;)
09-05-2002, 03:12 PM
lol Hi Doris! :wavey: How r u today?
09-05-2002, 04:38 PM
Where and what are you studying? University, I presume. When does your year start? Here we start this week. In France I remember starting around end Sep/end Nov. Quite late! (It's been a while since I've studied anything seriously... Mind you, I'm "studying" Rogi pretty seriously, don't you think?)
Oops, Clijsters/Shaughnessy doubles about to start, then, Gonzalez vs. Schalken. I root for the Latino guy -- VAMOS, Fernando! (I saw a few minutes of his match in Toronto.) A BIG hitter.
09-05-2002, 05:25 PM
A few photos from this year:
09-05-2002, 05:27 PM
Here goes again:
09-05-2002, 05:29 PM
That's one of my faves (even if it was already posted earlier!)
Another one more recent from netcam:
09-05-2002, 05:31 PM
That was during his doubles match w George (the one they lost -- such a close match too). They did well I think!
Has anyone seen this one of a younger Rogi (about 18 years old??):
09-05-2002, 05:56 PM
another one from doubles:
09-05-2002, 07:22 PM
Hi RogiFan!Nice pic BTW!lol no Im not old enough to be in university!Teh Im really young.Im scared to say in case u think Im just some nutty teen with a crush.OK Im 15.Im in my last year at school and Im stuying everything!well it feels like it anyway!Yeh I think we all study him hard. ;)
09-05-2002, 10:19 PM
yes, RogiFan! Thats how I first saw Rogi, in those New Balls Please ads. I thought he was so cute with his hair pulled back like that, but I didnt know his name. I didnt know anything about him at that point. He was mixed in with all the other guys, but there was something about him. :)
09-06-2002, 09:05 AM
I'm fine and you!!
Thank god it's weekend thoug well almost ;-)
09-06-2002, 11:37 AM
Hope you win the Swiss Indoors contest for tickets!
You know, I think Rogi has the coolest look of all the tennis players -- he's so original. That's what I love about him! He's not like the other guys, in his look and in the way he behaves. I was just watching my video of him practising w Santoro in Toronto -- he was having fun and joking around w Fab and also w Younes, who came after them -- no doubt he was speaking French! At one point he hit a great shot and people applauded him, so he "applauded" w his racquet -- so cute! Then he left wearing a hockey jersey w "SUISSE" on the front and "FEDERER" on the back -- it was red on white. Is it a Swiss hockey sweater?? Looking cool as always, our Rogi!
Will start checking the DC site for any info on the SUI vs. MAR matches.
Hi Mrs. B!
09-06-2002, 11:54 AM
Here's a pic from last DC doubles:;)
09-06-2002, 02:30 PM
I know next month if I've won...
you speak french don't you??
Well you may want to check this site as well.
There you can find infos about DC and Match reports in general.
09-06-2002, 02:49 PM
Oui, je parle francais aussi et j'ai deja regarde ce site-la. En fait, je le regarde presque tous les jours, en francais, bien sur, pas en allemand. Mais merci quand meme pour l'info!
Thanks, Doris -- I always check that site -- one of the few Swiss sites in French, apart from Le Matin, which doesn't have as much Tennis info.
If I ever see Rogi in Schweiz, you must teach me some basic phrases, like: I adore you! You're so sexy! What a hot shot! What are you doing tonight? (Just kidding for the last one!)
It just takes TOO long to look up words in my English-German-German-English dictionary, especially when I don't have a clue about the grammar and the verbs!
09-06-2002, 02:56 PM
1. Ich bewundere dich
2. Du bist so sexy!! second part to follow the really matching translation just won't come to mind ;)
4. Was machst du heute abend?
09-06-2002, 03:29 PM
lol thanx Doris, will be handy for my German lessons! ;)
09-07-2002, 12:03 AM

09-08-2002, 06:29 PM
How's school? Been pretty busy myself lately so only peeked in from time to time...still in the knackered zone, but this week should be a bit better. I'm dying for a massage! Yeah, you've been missed, girl, but hope we can party again together soon, with Leo, of course! ;)
09-08-2002, 06:37 PM
Aw poor u been working hard?School not bad thanx but Im gonna be snowed under soon, seeing as its my last year.Yeah course we can party now,but unfortunately, there'll be no love,Leo isnt here!lol ;)
09-08-2002, 06:41 PM
my bill came for the tickets for the Basel Indoors. I'm really lookin forward to that. Then there's still the match in Morocco, coming pretty soon...
Hopp, Roger! C'mon Switzerland! Hope they'll kick ass...
09-08-2002, 06:45 PM
I bet you are! When Im older and have a bit more money,Im gonna go somewhere and watch Rogi. :)
Yeh Im sure they will do well! :D
09-08-2002, 06:51 PM
I consider myself quite fortunate to see matches here in Switzerland, & as the country's not so big, travelling is not a major obstacle.
09-08-2002, 06:52 PM
Well i'm sure one day you'd go see all of Roger's matches...;)
09-08-2002, 06:54 PM
Yeh Im positive I will do I will have to place it 1st on my list of things to do!Where I dont know, but that wont matter. And 1st time I go,I WONT streak!lol ;)
09-08-2002, 06:59 PM
No, not yet. lol!
Maybe i should go first? That would be a raucous! My husband would disown me!!! LOL :)
09-08-2002, 07:04 PM
Hee Hee would he?Would he not be proud?lol ;)
Yeh lead the way Mrs.B! :D
09-08-2002, 07:12 PM
if u mean by chronological order, yes, i'll lead the way! LOL! But i thought we were supposed to do this together, like us dressin up like Oracene & Richard Williams to get in?
Today i read through Wertheim's column at CNNSI and he's got that thing about players who have a striking resemblance to other people...and he had Roger next to Quintin Tarantino! lol!
09-08-2002, 07:56 PM
Yeh we did agree didnt we?Hmmm OK then!Whos this quintin bloke?
09-08-2002, 07:59 PM
That's the guy that directed Pulp Fiction. Of course they don't resemble each other, but this particular pic was hilarious. u can go check it out...click on cnn.com then sports, then go to tennis, then look for Wertheim's column, the mail bag...
09-08-2002, 08:40 PM
lol it is kinda funny in a nasty way because Rogi is so much hotter!he picked a bad photo! :)
09-09-2002, 12:36 AM
hey girls! i'm back, but i'm afraid you two are both asleep! too bad we're not in the same time zone! :(
 to ILR!
:wavey: to Mrs.B!
09-09-2002, 12:36 AM
Hi Mrs. B!
I missed you too! Was wondering where you were!
I like all these smilies! So cute!
Re: Rogi and Quentin -- they don't look at all alike! What an insult to our Rogi... come on, Wertheim!!
You must be getting excited about Basel! Was it sunny in Schweiz heute? Die sonne scheint (or sth like that!)? I was watching the TSR news today.
It's so hot and humid in TO today and tomorrow -- 33 degrees!
I have to find some more Rogi pix -- in some kind of withdrawal here...
Bye for now!
Hi IluvRogi! Where's Nina? (Are you Russian?)
09-09-2002, 09:03 AM
How u've been? Yeah, i was pretty busy last week so i couldn't really sit in front of the pc too long, except last night, then i scrambled again as the long awaited Pete-André match was shown on TSR2. Not a classic match but glad to see the Pistol going for his 14th Slam!!! For the record books. :) Whewww, he is really awesome and will have his place in tennis history.
09-09-2002, 09:08 AM
yeah, the Tarantino-Rogi comparison was a little daft, but that's Wertheim...altho some of his pics are really funny.
Re: weatherwise, the weekend was ok here although it rained in the evening and you kinda smell autumn in the air already...:( Lucky you, still enjoying a summer's day...
Lookin' forward to spending winter on the islands...;)
09-09-2002, 12:05 PM
Hi Mrs. B!
I'm very happy for Pete -- FINALLY! Now I guesss he won't retire and the others better watch out at Wimby next year. Smth tells me Pat Rafter won't be back -- more's the pity!! I do miss him! I'm just glad Andre lost -- he went too far already! (I'm tired of watching him on TV.) But maybe that final should inspire the New Balls to get their act together, esp. our ROGI!! Come on Rogi for the last 6 weeks of the season!! I want him to win another TMS! (My other pick w/be Alex C but I doubt it somehow -- next pick Juanqui but he's not doing that well either... what is it w my fave guys anyway???)
Got a busy day ahead -- but good news -- ROGI IS #10 again in the race!!!! :p
09-09-2002, 12:44 PM
Have you seen the new Emmi ad with Roger on TV??
I try to find a pic but no luck so far....
Emmi do bin i dehai ;)
09-09-2002, 12:49 PM
No Doris -- can you get images somehow to post here? What about a web site for the product -- is it yogurt? I wish I could see these ads! I know fans of Rafter in Australia post images of his TV ads on their site all the time! Does Rogi do print ads (in newspapers, etc.) also??
09-09-2002, 01:12 PM
I have an idea! Someone should tape those Emmi Rogi ads anyway. If I could tape them here, I could convert them into digital format and post the images on this site! Gather some Rogi TV stuff on a video, send the tape to me, I get the tape converted into N. Amer. format, then I convert to digital, then I post! SIMPLE!!
09-09-2002, 02:27 PM
Sorry haven't got a Video
So far I've only seen the add on TV (Swiss and German ones)
Well you don't see much of Roger and yes he's eating some kind of Müsli a Youghurt thing.
09-09-2002, 05:30 PM
lol, nope Doris, i haven't seen it yet, the only time i've watched tv lately was following the matches.
So they had Patty, (& DJ Bobo) now Emmi's got Rogi? Wow...;)
09-09-2002, 05:51 PM
Hi all European posters:
In September and October Eurosport will show ATP tennis from these tourneys: Hong Kong (semis, final), Moscow (semis, final), Lyon (quarters - final), Vienna (2nd round - final), Basel (whole tourney) and Stockholm (quarters - final):)
Do you get Eurosport or is it a pay-TV channel? I just copied this info from a European Rafter fan. I wish I had Eurosport. For a while we did get some news from Eurosport on our Italian channel but I guess it was too expensive! I even got a few minutes of the Basel final, with poor Rogi crying his eyes out after he lost to Henman! I also got some highlights from Rogi's match vs. Roddick -- great shots!
Here's a little photo of Rogi and Mirka from the Hopman Cup. (I would call it "Rogi in love"!)
09-09-2002, 05:56 PM
oh wow thanks for the pic :)
I'll be at the Kremlin Cup, I'll write reports and will take a bunch of Rogi pictures :)
09-09-2002, 05:56 PM
awww, that's a sweet one. RogiFan...
09-09-2002, 06:02 PM
and one more of these two from the Hopman Cup :D
09-09-2002, 06:03 PM
does Miroslava still play tennis?
09-09-2002, 06:09 PM
Miroslava has been injured and had surgery recently. She had a stress fracture on her foot I believe, so she hasn't been able to play nor practise. That's what Rogi said in an interview. He says that when she's not with him on the tour, he phones her every day -- so sweet! When they were in the Maldives on vacation (last winter?) he said that they were really tired from the year and needed a rest and time to heal their "booboos"!!
Do you live in Moscow? We'll be eagerly awaiting your reports and photos! (I still have yet to post mine -- no scanner I'm afraid!)
Here's another photo -- very tiny though!
09-09-2002, 06:10 PM
aw thats real sweet but I cant help but feel a little jealous of her.......;) :D
09-09-2002, 06:18 PM
Aren't you supposed to be studying?? I guess you deserve a Rogi break!! Can you imagine being Rogi's GF?? Rogi says that he's not the type to go out to clubs and have women throwing themselves at him when on tour; he's very serious when playing tournaments and tries to focus on the tennis... I don't know about the women part, Rogi! Hmm... there are a lot of girls out there who really adore him! (Do I count myself as one of them? Nah!)
I love this pic -- his eyes are so expressive...
09-09-2002, 06:19 PM
hehe, iluvRogi, no worries, u got Leo!!! ;)
09-09-2002, 06:25 PM
I do deserve a Rogi break Mrs.B!I just finished a load of French and thats a shame about him not liking girls throwing themselves at him.Ah well.Thats true I still have Leo,he adores me!lol ;)
ps Yes u do count just like me! :D
09-09-2002, 06:27 PM
*Just imaginig being Rogis girlf*   :hearts: :hearts:
09-09-2002, 06:34 PM
I'm not in love
so don't forget it
it's just a silly phase i'm going through...
09-09-2002, 06:35 PM
erm OK sounds a bit like love talk 2 me Mrs.B! ;)
09-09-2002, 06:41 PM
that's an old 10cc song...:)
I'm getting into the Layla singing mood...
09-09-2002, 06:42 PM
o ok then I didnt know that.Well seeing as Layla isnt here yet I guess u can take the singing duties! :)
09-09-2002, 06:53 PM
I can yodel for you, how's that? http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/aha.gif
09-09-2002, 06:57 PM
erm yeah,sure,that'll do nicely! ;)
09-09-2002, 06:58 PM
hmmm, on second thought, don't want to scare u away! lol
09-09-2002, 07:01 PM
well no I dont think Id be that scared to be honest.U could always try I suppose........:)
09-09-2002, 07:01 PM
Yodelling -- now you're talking! Do you think Rogi can yodel?? Can you picture him in traditional Swiss gear/costume? I would love to see these tennis players in their country's costumes, just for fun! Wouldn't that be a riot?? What w/Rogi wear then -- lederhosen, hat w feather, knee socks and hiking boots???Here's one: Alex Corretja dressed as a matador -- OLE!
09-09-2002, 07:03 PM
I reckon all good Swiss blokes can do that...;)
But yes, i can picture him in the traditional costume although he'd probably loathe that.
09-09-2002, 07:07 PM
hi RogiFan. :wavey:
Rogi yodelling?Now theres a thought! :)
09-09-2002, 07:08 PM
Rogi yodelling & dragging a cow down from the mountains! LOL!!!
09-09-2002, 07:09 PM
erm Mrs.B!Thats also an interesting thought!:D lol
09-09-2002, 07:12 PM
me and my silly thoughts...poor Rogi, his fans making fun of him... http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/rotfl.gif
09-09-2002, 07:14 PM
aw were not making fun of him really.......just imagining silly things!Bless him :)
09-09-2002, 07:16 PM
well, it's good not to take things too seriously, eh?
Life is full of fun, too. http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/sun.gif
09-09-2002, 07:18 PM
exactly!Life is fun!lol unless ur in the last year of school and have GCSE's coming up.........:(
09-09-2002, 07:18 PM
Took the words right out of my mouth! We're just teasing little Rogi -- it's a form of admiration and love, in a funny way! I'm sure he'd hate being put in a trad'l outfit -- it's just not cool! As someone at Indian Wells posted re: Rogi, he said "This is SO boring!".
Rogi looks good in a black jacket, pants and white shirt -- I saw a neat photo of him in a mag wearing just that for DC.
09-09-2002, 07:20 PM
lol in an admiring way, exactly! We know it and wish that he did! :)

Tell u what, my best times were at school. Academically i was a flop but the camaraderie was great. I still keep in touch with my schoolmates and still see them when i go home to Asia. :)
09-09-2002, 07:25 PM
yeah well I guess I do enjoy the social part but there is a lot of pressure this year! Its great that you still see your friends! :)
09-09-2002, 07:27 PM
My husband's got a digital camera. U reckon i can use that in Basel?
09-09-2002, 07:45 PM
Here's rooting for the sexy Swiss...!
09-09-2002, 07:46 PM

09-09-2002, 08:04 PM
09-09-2002, 08:10 PM
Mrs. B, you are too funny! (But you are some hot babe, I must say!)
Yeah, take the digital camera! That w/be great! The good thing about those cameras is that you can check your photos ASAP and delete them if you don't like them. Also you can take tons o pix! Wow! My friend has one that can take sort of movie-type images -- it's amazing what technology can do these days! It's like a still camera and a video in one. Very versatile.
Oh, did I tell you that I was in Kitz at the casino w Juanqui?
09-09-2002, 08:20 PM
hmmm, you and Juanqui make a nice couple...
09-09-2002, 08:23 PM

09-09-2002, 08:43 PM

09-09-2002, 08:50 PM
Well, ILR, a girl has to have some fun once in a while!
Here's my last photo of the day, from an Italian site, from Wimby01 when Rogi lost to Henman in the Qtrs. I call it "Il povvero bello!"
Buona notte a tutte le ragazze in Svizzera ed in Inghilterra!
09-10-2002, 07:18 AM
Guten Tag! Bonjour! Bon Giourno!
The weather looks promising here in CH, but RF's still in a pensive mood...
09-10-2002, 07:22 AM
hmmm Lederhosen are reserved for the "Bayerns" (ex. ppl from Munich) here traditional clothes is looking a bit different. It's kind of hard to say that's a traditional swiss costume as each area has it's own "Tracht" as we call it. So for ppl who know them they can say from which part of Switzerland it comes from. Well I try to find the one from Basel...
....well it may look like this as this is a pic from the "Jodlerclub Basel" and these ppl usualy wear the traditional cloths of the area they represent
<font size=1>Jodlerclub Basel in Saas Almagell<font size=2>
09-10-2002, 07:47 AM
thanks, Doris...i'm puttin the image here for everyone to see...
09-10-2002, 08:25 AM
oh dear, now everybody will think we all walk around dressed like that  ;)
09-10-2002, 08:30 AM
Hi, where have u been? :)
09-10-2002, 11:37 AM
There's my morning smile! Hi everyone! OK, I know Swiss people don't walk around in trad costumes every day! Hee, hee!
Any news on DC?
09-10-2002, 11:45 AM
What does this mean???
I don't understand what is going on.
09-10-2002, 12:44 PM
the article states more or less the following:
marc rosset was threatened by a guy with a gun who then took his car (and his mobile phone - how silly to mention that  ). the car was later found in france.
rosset will play haas in his 1st roudn match in tashkent.
hi mrs. b. I usually surf the WTAworld-messageboard, but since it's not online right now, I thought I might as well check out ATPworld.
09-10-2002, 02:49 PM
Hi and welcome, Beat! Nice to meet you!
Thank you for the translation! And I thought Switzerland was a safe place...
Have you seen Rogi at a tournament? He's so quick at the net -- I can't keep up w him. It's neat to even see him practise (w Wayne for doubles) -- more relaxed and fun!
09-10-2002, 02:56 PM
Hi RogiFan :wavey:
Aw man, you've evn seen him practice?*sigh* Im so unlucky! One day Ill see him!
Hows things? :)
09-10-2002, 03:32 PM
It's so sunny and hot here, I need sunglasses -- it's still summer --33 degrees and lots of smog -- YUK!
Yeah, I'm busy doing stuff -- Rogi's so funny when he practises. He's pretty casual and humourous but sometimes he throws his racquet and bounces it when he's frustrated! Other times he hits a cool shot, everyone applauds and he swings his racquet in the air to acknowledge the response.
Before one of his practice sessions, I watched him drink water, pour it over his head, toss his lovely locks back and forth, take off his sweaty T, put on a new one...
Here's an image I captured from one of my TO videos:
Mrs. B, where are you??
09-10-2002, 03:34 PM
hi rogifan and everybody else!
well, it's not always lovey dovey all the time in switzerland. yes, there are criminals here too - GOSH! ;)
unfortunately I've never seen roger play live. but maybe this year at the basel indoors tournament. but it's also much fun watching him play on TV, I really love his tennis-style.
09-10-2002, 03:35 PM
well its been kinda hot today,I was a bit annoyed,i could have got a lift to school if it had of rained but instead I had to walk all the way! lol Wen its raining I moan about it being sunny and vice versa,u cant win with me! ;)
Wow u took that photo?u got so close? :hearts: COOL!
Pretty animated?aw lol thats kinda sweet. How mant times have u seen him, practising and in tournies?
09-10-2002, 04:03 PM
I've only seen Rogi at one tournament, in TO but i saw him practise twice, once in Centre Court, for the fans, and once on the regular practice courts, with other players (that one, by lucky chance!). I do hope to see him next year in Montreal, if all goes well!
That photo, BTW, is just before he changed to his hockey jersey, for the ATP vs. NHL (National Hockey League) hockey game -- Rogi was really having a great time! PLundgren also played (he was quite good) and Kratochvil, Chiudinelli, Enqvist, Johansson. Rogi's a cutie, as always!
09-10-2002, 04:07 PM
Aw its good to hear that they have a lot of fun! :)
Ive only ever seen him on the TV because the nearest tournament held near me is Wimbledon,DURING SCHOOL TIME! :fiery: My auntie and uncle have been a few years ago but I dunno who they watched.
A cutie!lol.Thats sounds funny calling a grown man a cutie! Its sweet tho coz he is! (gee I really dont make any sense do I ......... *sigh*)
09-10-2002, 04:12 PM
am back, it's started pouring again here in CH. Drat...but i'll leave again in a while, i'm going to the flicks with a girlfriend, haven't done that in ages!
Nice photo, RogiFan, and thanx 4 sharing it here...
hmmm, that means i should take pix in Basel too then post it here...;)
09-10-2002, 04:15 PM
it certainly dus Mrs.B!All u lucky people..........:(
09-10-2002, 04:20 PM
What a smart girl you are ;)
Nice to see you here too!!
and yes the DC-Team just has been released:
Roger Federer, Michel Kratochvil, Ivo Heuberger, Marc Rosset and George Bastel. As Peter Lundgren isn't alowed to sit on the captains chair - lack of a swiss passport - either Ivo Heuberger or Marc Rosset will take this part. George Bastel is likely going to play doubles with Roger I bet.
09-10-2002, 04:27 PM
Yehey!!! The Swiss Boyz are intact. That's a pretty good lineup...
09-10-2002, 04:53 PM
hi doris!!! :)
well, as soon as there's a swiss-related thread, we're bound to meet!
nice to meet you again!
09-10-2002, 05:56 PM
Mrs. B: You bet! Basel pix w/be much appreciated!
I'm getting excited about DC! Hope Rogi and George do well in doubles, and Rogi in singles, of course. If PL doesn't have a Swiss passport, how does he work w Rogi in Switzerland? He must have some kind of visa then. I guess his family is in Sweden (he has a daughter Julia and a son Lukas -- read it in a Swiss paper somewhere).
I'm watching press conferences for the TO Film Fest this week -- just saw one w Juliette Binoche and Jean Reno for a French film "Jetlag" (in Eng). Sounds good! Tons of celebs in town incl. Antonio Banderas, Pierce Brosnan...
Here's another one of my pix for you from the hockey game:"Rogi imitating a rock star" or "Just having fun":
09-10-2002, 05:59 PM
Such a scatterbrain! That pic was another one: "Rogi -- he shoots, he scores!" (it's a Canadian thing!)
OK, here's the other one:
09-10-2002, 06:03 PM
lol thanx RogiFan.He looks really cool! Hes such a great guy!
09-10-2002, 06:54 PM
Hi everyone :)
Thanks RogiFan, for your close-up pics. Its nice to see him having fun. I'm so jealous of those who have seen Rogi in person. I was gonna go see him in Washington last month, but hopefully next year.
I really need to get an English-German-French-English dictionary. I have an English-Portuguese one but that really doesnt help me too much here. ;) Its terrible what happened to Rosset. The Swiss boys dont need anymore bad news.
09-10-2002, 07:54 PM
Glad you like my pix -- they're not the greatest quality cos they're fr videos. Do you speak Portuguese? Speaking of dictionaries, I have some passages from Swiss articles on Rogi:
Who knows what he's saying? I gather the no. 8 is important to him because he was born on the 8th day of the 8th month of 1981. But what does he say about Mirka? "Wichtig"? Maybe I'll take a crash course in German...
09-10-2002, 09:59 PM
Just came back from the movies.
re: Mirka---more or less it says that even if it's a fact that he is attached to her, the female fans are forgiving, that Mirka is important to him and that they value their private lives, and they want it to remain so....
09-11-2002, 08:34 AM
... and there will be no homestories about them. good attittude, roger! :)
09-11-2002, 08:56 AM
Merci, Beat. ;)
Yeah, let his tennis speak for itself...and when he's hot he blazes on the court!
09-11-2002, 09:01 AM
09-11-2002, 09:07 AM
09-11-2002, 09:26 AM
RogiFan is that Chiudinelli besides Roger in that one pic??
He's a cutie too ;)
and yes the 8 is his fave number. born on the 8.8. first time in top ten he was Nr. 8....
To bad I haven't a scanner. Otherwise I'll post the pics I have from last years FO....
..... but they aren't by far as good as the ones posted here
I start to wonder why whe have a picture thread anyways when all the pics are posted in here ;)
09-11-2002, 10:47 AM
doesn't really matter, does it, Doris? we started chatting on the picture thread before this thread was made...it's all relevant when Roger's the common denominator...;)
and someone even posted at the picture thread a pic that was not even Roger...so guess evrything's ok here, so long as we don't hit anyone below the belt...just corny jokes. ;) and our fave thing to do here---support RF. :) :) :)
09-11-2002, 11:10 AM
09-11-2002, 11:50 AM
Yes it does matter!!! :P j/k
Mrs. B don't take everything sooo serious what I'm saying.
Really I love those pics (also no Roger ones) no matter where they are posted as long as they are in good spirit. And I haven't seen one yet that wasn't any good. So keep em up!!
BTW love your smilies!! Especially the Elephant one!!
PL lives in Switzerland (Yes I do know where ;) ). Guess he's having the C Permit where he's allowed to work and live in Switzerland.
09-11-2002, 12:05 PM
Thank you, Mrs. B and Doris for being my translators! One day I can thank you in person if I ever make it to Switzerland.
I love Mrs. B's icons, esp. the sheep skipping and the cute little cat (remember, Rogi ist ein katzentyp!). Yes, that's Chiudinelli, alright! I wondered who he was at first -- he and Rogi were just like little boys together... and yes, he is cute! I predict the girls will go crazy over him, with his long blond hair.
So... PL does live in Schweiz (the Eng Switzerland is SO long to type!) -- I wondered about that. Makes sense!
A piu tardi, ragazze!
09-11-2002, 12:40 PM
To Dodo & RogiFan
09-11-2002, 12:48 PM
Thanks for the linke
really good ones around.
09-11-2002, 12:53 PM
Fur Doris und Frau B.
(Darn, that silly Evian thing obscuring most of our Rogi!)
09-11-2002, 01:03 PM
Good guys wear black, eh?
09-11-2002, 01:41 PM
Hi ppl!Mrs.B,Doris,RogiFan aand everyone else, just a quick hello grabbed a couple of free minutes in IT lessons!lol its boring!:(
09-11-2002, 01:50 PM
09-11-2002, 04:02 PM
Hope you still had a great day ILR
09-11-2002, 04:04 PM
I just heard that Micha ret'd fr his dbles match due to back injury! I hope that isn't going to keep him out of DC.
Here's another of my pix, of Rogi and his "Stringer" Franck Messerer (I found his name!) after practice in TO. Rogi was so obliging w the autographs. As they sped off, some kids yelled "BYE!!" and Rogi smiled and waved bye to them. That was cute.
Mrs. B. how was your movie?
09-11-2002, 05:01 PM
oh yeah, him...so he's the stringer. Was wondering who he was watching Roger's camp cheer when he made some wins during his round at the USO.
i watched "Unfaithful", with Richard Gere & Diane Lane. Brilliant close up shots building up the nuances to the story...Ms. Lane is good in her role but the other guy, Olivier Martinez, blew me away. He is soooo attractive. *drool* Have u seen it? Boy, can't believe it's been ages since i've gone to the flicks. :)
09-11-2002, 07:54 PM
glad u had a good time Mrs.B.Thanx Doris my day wasnt too bad :D
09-11-2002, 08:48 PM
No, I haven't seen that movie but I know who O Martinez is -- dark French actor, right? I go to see the occasional French, Spanish or other European film, but I used to see tons of Brit flicks. I really like British actors.
I guess I'm ready to post another Rogi photo, wearing his SUISSE hockey jersey (he showed it to Santoro after their practice).
I never saw Rogi's camp during the USO!
09-11-2002, 08:57 PM
He looks fab...;)
09-12-2002, 01:07 AM
•Roger Federer wirbt fuer Emmi-Produkte.
fma.
I gather Rogi was chosen because he's natural "naturlich" and "nice?" "Sympathietrager". He'll do ads in Sep for Muesli-yogurt and basically advertises the active life "Aktiv Leben".
What does "Geniessen" mean?
09-12-2002, 07:44 AM
Geniessen = enjoy
RogiFan I wonder what you need translations for. You always get the main idea. Only thing missing yet is a pic. Maybe I'll check ot this win thing.
And hey were did you get the articles from?? There was nothing to be found on the emmi hp!!
09-12-2002, 10:14 AM
oh yeah.. those ads... hmmmm... well, noone could ever be cool in a tv spot for muesli, but roger certainly did a better job than patty. she was awful!
09-12-2002, 10:34 AM
She's a better tennis player than an advert girl, Beat. And she's my fave female Swiss tennis player. ;) People haven't really been kind to her especially with that healer guy story. But she's getting on with her life and i hope she's happy.
Still haven't seen this tv ad from Rogi. But that's cuz i haven't been watching tv. :)
09-12-2002, 11:19 AM
Well Mrs B no TV no ad ;-)
hmmm found a Patty pic but no Roger so far
from Twin site about the Emmi spot
09-12-2002, 01:53 PM
Hi Swiss girls!
One of those articles I found on the TWIN site and the other from a search I did on Rogi and Emmi. There was some info fr the Emmi site but not much. I'm waiting for them to post some more info and a photo of Rogi -- they already have pix of that DJBoBo person, whoever he is!
Emmi is working with Roger Federer
Emmi, the leading Swiss dairy group, has gone into partnership with Roger Federer, Switzerland's top professional tennis player. "This is the merging of two rising dynamic Swiss stars on course to success", said Fritz Wyss, spokesman for the Board of Emmi AG in Gstaad. The media were informed of the new partnership at the Allianz Suisse Open on Wednesday.
The link between Roger and Emmi symbolises the 'Enjoy an active life with Emmi' message that is the trademark of the Emmi Group. Federer will be advertising several Emmi products. The first TV advertisement will appear around September for the new muesli yoghurt and the new bifidus yoghurt drink - ideal as a snack between meals, both at home or en route.
In spite of his astronomic rise to the world's elite, Roger Federer still prefers the natural things in life, which is why he is an ideal advocate of Emmi products - a powerful double game, you might say.
That's interesting that Patty is not good in the ad -- I guess some people are more comfortable in front of the camera than others!
Mrs. B, did you know that Alex Corretja has done Danone ads in Spain? They're on his official site -- he's quite good on TV! He also does L'Oreal ads too! Not bad at all! He could be a model or actor after tennis!! Maybe Rogi could be too?
09-12-2002, 01:59 PM
Here's Rogi signing autographs for his many admirers:
09-12-2002, 02:15 PM
What you've never heard of DJ Bobo!! (Yes I know he isn't that well known in America and Canada due to his unfortunate Name)
He's one of the best selling Music-Stars from Switzerland. O.K. I admitt he's having greater success in Germany and other parts of Europe and Aisa you may want to check out his site it's actually pretty good www.djbobo.ch
09-12-2002, 03:19 PM
mrs. b, I didn't want to diss dear patty, I like her too! but she still was horrible in those commercials. there was that other one, for whatever car. my god, it really was quite laughable. :o
09-12-2002, 03:34 PM
well, we know now that she'll never get an acting job after her tennis career...;)
some people are just not comfortable in front of the camera.
09-12-2002, 06:29 PM
Hi guys just wondered if any Rogi fans are online at the mo :wavey:
09-12-2002, 06:45 PM
I'm here, luv!
09-12-2002, 07:53 PM
I'm here too :)
Hey, I just noticed that Rogi has moved back into the top 10 of the CR. Thats great! Hopp Roger hopp! :)
I watched Patty play Jen at the FO. She seemed very talented but whats about this healer guy story?
Alex does L'Oreal ads? Thats very interesting, but then he is a very good looking guy. Although whenever I see that milk bath pic of him and Costa I still get a good laugh :D
09-12-2002, 08:06 PM
Hi ILR, Hi Lily!
Yes, Alex does L'Oreal ads in Spain and he says the Sp equivalent of "I'm worth it!" -- "Y yo lo valgo!" Ole! He's good! Alex always has fun in Gstaad -- he has a great sense of humour, like Rogi! It's funny that they always make Alex do these "milky" or as I call it "cowly" things there, like milking cows, which was a great laugh last year! La Suiza brings out the naughtiness in Alex I noticed.
Autumn is upon us... but lovely -- reminds me of England!
Isn't it great that Rogi's back up to #10? Let's hope he keeps going up! I saw so little of him at the USO that I miss the guy! Lily, did you catch his match vs. Chang (only saw last 2 games) or vs. Malisse? They really s/have shown that one during the 2 days of rain!! It was a good one apparently...
09-12-2002, 08:08 PM
Hi RF! :wavey:
Wow u want to be reminded of England?Well each to their own............;)
Yeh glad hes back in the top 10 again where he belongs.I managed to see the whole Malisse game and he was great.:D
09-12-2002, 08:16 PM
Yeah, today really reminded me that autumn is here...
Oh well, i look forward to see the colors. :)
09-12-2002, 08:37 PM
Did you by chance tape that match??? Who was the crowd for anyway? I'm always curious to see which player is favoured, e.g., Andre was definitely the favourite over Pete in the final.
We don't usually get the INTERESTING matches, only the ones w Americans...
09-12-2002, 08:39 PM
Er no sorry I didnt tape it  (stupid I know) but I didnt really think all I could think was oh my god theyre showing Rogis match instead of an American!lol.Well I think the crowd were pretty neutral to be honest applauding the great shots and points. :)
09-12-2002, 09:22 PM
Do you get Eurosport? If you do, you lucky thing, they're showing the entire BASEL tournament!!!
(I think I live in the wrong part of the world sometimes... I love anything British [I know, that sounds weird!] and European. Maybe I can get a job working the tournaments... maybe as a masseuse or interpreter...?!:p )
09-12-2002, 09:24 PM
well I get british eurosport hope they show it on that!
09-12-2002, 09:38 PM
sure they will. i can take everyone by surprise and do the Wimby thing before they can cut to a commercial! lol
09-12-2002, 09:56 PM
09-13-2002, 03:42 AM
I so live in the wrong part of the world too. Its just not fair how much we dont get here. We always only get the Americans. That was why when Rogi played Chang I thought they would show the whole match, but they only showed the last 2 games, like you said.
I forgot when Rogi played Malisse. I guess that was Monday night when everyone was playing cuz of the rain, so of course I didnt see it. They probably had on Andre or Andy that night. And all that wasted time showing old matches when they could have been showing our Rogi!
They dont show any of the players off court. We're lucky enough to see things the Americans do, but I'm really not interested in them. And whats this about Alex, milking cows and taking milk baths?! Hes got an obsession with milk! lol :D
09-13-2002, 01:50 PM
19. bis 27. Oktober
1 Tommy Haas (De/ATP 2). 2 Tim Henman (Gb/5). 3 Juan Carlos Ferrero (Sp/6). 4 Albert Costa (Sp/7). 5 Carlos Moya (Sp/10). 6 Andy Roddick (USA/11). 7 Roger Federer (Sz/13) . 8 Pete Sampras (USA/14). 9 David Nalbandian (Arg/18). 10 Alex Corretja (Sp/20). 11 Fernando Gonzalez (Chile/24). 12 Xavier Malisse (Be/25). 13 James Blake (USA/27). 14 Nicolas Lapentti (Eku/30). 15 Greg Rusedski (Gb/35). 16 Michel Kratochvil (Sz/37). 17 Felix Mantilla (Sp/40). 18 Arnaud Clément (Fr/41). 19 Fernando Vicente (Sp/43). 20 Agustin Calleri (Arg/45). 21 Nicolas Escudé (Fr/47). 22 Julien Boutter (Fr/52). 23 Davide Sanguinetti (It/53).
Hi Lily: Looks like I get the same TV coverage as you -- not the greatest! That's why when Rogi does well, we get to SEE him, so we always have to cheer him on! Good thing he won Hamburg -- that was the best! He told me it was a great tournament for him! Re: Alex and milk -- it's the tourney organizers who like to have these "milky" activities for the players. They are very fond of him in Gstaad, as I've said before. You s/check out the site -- incl. the interviews w Alex -- they're a laugh!

What do you expect from Gstaad. I mean this place is up in the mountains and yes there are heaps of cows around. As this tournament is held in a remote, countryside area it's obvious that the tournament directors show the players the countrylifestyle aka milking a cow, producing cheese, having a molke (it's a leftover of the milk) bath etc. Sometimes the players are able to do more adventures things, like paragliding, rafting, canouing, or go on a slegeride with huskies, like Roger did this year. There was a nice pic with him and the huskies around. I'm just too lazy to look for it.

My Dear friends and fans of ROGI,
I will be traveling for approximately one month, because of health. I hope everything goes well that that brief I am again with you. I will be in São Paulo a great city of Brazil and I can be accompanying yours e-mails, but I cannot probably be answering to you.
I wait that when I return ROGI ALREADY HAS WIN WITH THE SWISS TEAM DC, and be already playing in Moscow. I will be as always twisting a lot, of crossed fingers and asking for all of the angels to be with ROGI.
For you all millions of kisses a lot affection and love, of the bottom of my heart. Beth:( ;)

I hope everything will go well for you in Sao Paulo (I know someone from that city) and that our Rogi has great results for the last weeks of the season!
Here's a photo for you to look at in the meantime!
Hi Doris, Mrs. B., ILR, Lily, Nina...!
09-16-2002, 01:28 PM
Just checked Swiss news and found out that PLundgren will not be going to Morocco w the DC team because his 6-year-old daughter Julia has diabetes and he'll be staying w her.

and one more
09-16-2002, 02:19 PM
What was it like being there? I see a Swiss flag in the background!
Speaking of Swiss flags, I saw a funny little spot on TV5 from FaxCulture and they showed these creative Swiss flags, probably for the Expo02 in Lausanne -- some were quite funny and a bit risque -- for the Swiss anyway!! I wish I could show them to you guys!
One had a devil's tail coming out of the cross and said Swiss Devil, then one had a halo over it saying Swiss Angel (that's Rogi!)
Another one said So exciting! Switzerland and was a bit rude -- I won't say, but it was provocative!! :p
09-16-2002, 03:06 PM
tell us tell us tell us! :D
09-16-2002, 03:46 PM
Finally saw that Emmi ad from Rogi. Too short! :(
maybe Emmi's saving money?
09-16-2002, 03:56 PM
:( I wanna see it!
09-16-2002, 04:35 PM
Me too! Me too! I want to see the ad too!
You want to know more re: naughty Swiss flag? Maybe Doris and Mrs. B. have already seen it in a store somewhere.
Hmm... how can I put it without being offensive... umm... well these flags are all on T-shirts, red with white cross.
On this naughty one [So exciting! Switzerland], the R part of the cross (horizontal not vertical) is, well, EXCITED, shall we say! In fact, so excited that it has an "erection".
Well, I said it! You have to see the flag.
On that note, here's Rogi!
09-16-2002, 04:40 PM
hee hee that was kinda hard for u too say!OHMIGOD I didnt mean that lol!
Ahem.Wow,u take all these pics!Hmm mayb I shud see this flag! ;)

IT was great :) typical Davis Cup atmosphere. Of course 95% of the crowd were cheering for Russia but there were a few Switzerland supporters (I think they were friends of the players because they all were seated on the VIP seats in the Swiss box) who seemed louder than the Russians during some matches esp when Roger played (as you may know he easily beat both Kafelnikov and Safin). Roger did play very well, gave the Russians no chance
09-16-2002, 04:55 PM
HOPP, Swiss Boys! ALLEZ, les Suisses! VAMOS, Suiza! ANDIAMO, Svizzera! DAVAI, Roger & Co.!
Thanks, Nina, for your reply! Must have been fun to be there! Wish Switzerland could play Canada in Canada but close to TO -- but then, if they did, that w/mean that they were out of the World Group and we don't want that!
ILR -- sorry if I offended anyone! I thought you meant the flags!!;)
Again, these images are all from my tennis videos -- they're not the photos I took. Want to see more?? Here's one, a bit blurry but closer [Rogi's so lovely... :hearts:]
09-16-2002, 05:14 PM
offended me?lol not at all RF!:D He is sooooo lovely
09-17-2002, 07:14 AM
There are two versions of the ad. A longer one - where he first shakes that müesli thing opens it and start's eating it. And there's the reminder where you just see Roger eating that stuff ;) while having his feet on the table tztztz Roger are these good manners ;) hehehe but guess it goes well whit the slogan Emmi do bin i dehaii (Emmi here I'm at home) ;) and the reminder usually is only 5 seconds as the normal one is around 20 to 25 seconds still pretty short thoug ;)
Apparently there's an other one too (from the twin site) but haven't seen it yet.
RF no I haven't seen the flags you're talking about
09-17-2002, 01:58 PM
Guten morgen, girls!
Ah, a lovely autumn day... crisp and clear (for a change)!
I guess our Swissies are heading to or already in Morocco. I hope they can do well there -- it will be a scorcher! Hope PL's daughter is OK -- the Swiss don't need any more bad stuff happening. Will they show the matches on Swiss TV? Nice for you guys!
Did you know that Rogi lives in Bottmingen now, not Munchenstein? Is it also close to Basel? I just read a French article on him from August -- a good one! He is getting tired of being compared to Sampras -- he just wants to be Federer! And he definitely DOES NOT want to be compared to Agassi!! [Well, Rogi, then the next time you meet him, just beat him!]
I remember the look on Rogi's face when he got the 2nd set off Haas in AUSSIE Open -- if looks could kill, Tommy w/have been dead! Rogi looked as if he hated Haas -- does he??
Your photo of the day coming up, if a bit on the blurry but dreamy side
09-17-2002, 02:47 PM
Thanx for info RF I never knew he had moved.:)
I can understand not wanting to be compared to anyone because he is himself. There is no one better! :D
I really hope he doesnt hate Tommy!I like Tommy! ;) I didnt think he did anyway.........
09-17-2002, 02:55 PM
Yes, it's also a clear, sunny day here in CH. A bit warmer actually than last weekend's weather.
Yes, we're all excited for the weekend, hope the Swiss boys are going to kick some Moroccan a...
I can understand Rogi's dislike about being compared to Sampras and all, especially that he has his own distinctive style of playing, but it's actually an honor considering Pete's achievements in the game, but Agassi? Yikes, i really wished Rogi toppled him in Miami, but he'll do it next time. ;)
As for Tommy, i think they are buddies, too bad he lost that AO 'cuz he had match points! Quelle domage indeed.
Q & A to Roger:
Q: How do you cope with defeat?
RF:I cry sometimes, but fortunately i forget fast! I always try to learn from my defeats.

Ah... he's a cutie! I love when he cries -- makes me so emotional. I was kidding about him hating Tommy -- but maybe he did at that moment for winning the 1st set tiebreak!
FC Basel -- HOPP!! Saw them on TSR! They had some celebration in Basel the other day. I shall check out the Swiss news in case they show a glimpse of the DC Team!!
I missed my chance to see celebs last week at the film fest: Antonio, Ralph Fiennes (but I've already met him a couple of times at the theatre in UK), Sophia, etc.
Did you know that that movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was filmed partly in my neighbourhood? I saw the actress at a street food fest a few weeks ago and I have a T-shirt promoting the movie -- still haven't seen it but it sounds good! If you do, think of my area!
09-17-2002, 03:34 PM
Hiya do u guys all support FC Basel?
Yeah I read about him crying too.I think thats really sweet! :) And thats cool about My Big Fat Greek Wedding being filmed so near to you!Leo has seen it. :)
09-17-2002, 03:37 PM
btw, Bottmingen is outside the city of Basel, i believe that's where Patty Schnyder comes from.
i really should be going...;) Ciao! Hope Basel wins over Spartak Moscow.
09-17-2002, 04:29 PM
erm I'm sorry but ... GO Spartak!!! :bounce:
09-17-2002, 04:37 PM

09-17-2002, 05:02 PM
Hey Mrs.Guga :wavey:
Yeh I can tell by your avatar.;) I think we can all say that we think were his no 1 fans!
09-17-2002, 06:44 PM
Hi Mrs. Guga!
Hey, 2 Mrs. around here! Do you know Mrs. B.?
Have you had the experience of seeing Rogi live? I'm happy to say that I have -- in TO this summer. Too bad he lost 1st rd but I did see his doubles -- lots of fun! I've posted a few images of him in this thread over the last few days or so. Take a look! If you have any, pls post! The more the merrier!
Watching (well, sort of) Real Madrid vs. AS Roma now -- I guess it's live! VAMOS, REAL MADRID!
09-17-2002, 08:13 PM
OMG we're losing to Basel  I don't remember when was the last time Spartak played so badly! and they will not win the Russian Premier League this year, I'm pretty sure
 I dont want to watch it
09-17-2002, 08:35 PM
I wonder when Mrs. B. will be back? Do you think she's celebrating? Did FC Basel actually win the match? If they did, ROGI will be very happy (and that might inspire him in Casablanca)!
09-17-2002, 08:36 PM
2-0 they won RF. :)
Gonzo Hates Me!
09-17-2002, 09:46 PM
Hey! I haven't seen Rogi live. I am in DC and he was supposed to play Legg Mason here, like 10 minutes away. But then that is the tournament he withdrew from to go to Peter's funeral. :( I have never been to a tennis match. I have just been a fan of his for a long time now. :D
So you all like football! Cool! My kind of company. I don't like Real Madrid. Hey did anyone watch the Birmingham - Aston Villa game on Monday?! Pretty sad, right?! LOL!
09-17-2002, 10:33 PM
BASEL WON!!!!! 2-0
This is a happy night for the Swiss, and i can imagine Rogi's in 7th heaven. Hope this will inspire him to play well in Morocco!
HOPPPPPP SCWHIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/jump.gif
09-17-2002, 11:51 PM
:bounce: :D ;)
COOL!! Great news! Valencia won also (sorry ILR!). When FC Barca play I hope they win!
Were you celebrating in Berne? We forgive you if you had a few too many!! Basel must be going crazy! Where's Rogi tonight? He must be SO happy! Good prelude to the DC.
Too bad about Washington! Maybe next year you can see Rogi -- he's just so amazing to behold -- a feast for the senses, not just for the eyes.
We have to support him for the rest of the year, esp. for the TMS Madrid and Paris.
09-18-2002, 06:50 AM
Sorry Nina but Spartak really made it easy for Basel to win...
....and Basel wasted far toooo many chances - against any other team they might have regretted it.
Still gooooo Basel gooo!!
and gooooo Roger goooo!!
btw. Just read that Marc - who's taking care of the team as long as Peter isn't there - allowed Roger to watch the game FCB against spartak which was shown at the morocco TV!!!!
09-18-2002, 07:50 AM
Right, Doris...so many chances indeed...
Needless to say, they won and that should give them a lot of confidence. Roger must be delirious!!!
RogiFan, we were watching it at our tennis club, about 16 people around, and who screams like a banshee when Basel made those goals? hehehe...One of our members was funny, he's such a big Liverpool fan and even hung flags around the clubhouse while talking on his cellphone to another buddy that was watching the Liverpool match. :( But it was a good atmosphere and i did get to drink a couple...;)
09-18-2002, 01:45 PM
I don't know if I should come to Switzerland to cheer for Rogi w you -- you're such a wild one :D :D ! [Mind you, w both of us, it w/be pandemonium.] No, really, it must have been fun! [And Rosset letting Rogi watch the match --- I was wondering if he saw it -- everyone loves to spoil him!]
OK, Swiss guys, now it's your time! GO!!
Does anyone know if there are LIVE cams for DC anywhere?? I'll scout around -- maybe on official DC site.
So you saw the Emmi ad -- Doris said there are 2.
Go, Rogi, go!
09-18-2002, 04:19 PM
Hehe, RogiFan, i'm usually a big bore but when it comes to sports, i get down with my baadd self! They'll never let me into Wimbledon, i'll be worse than Dokic's dad or the serial streaker, i'll be screaming to the top of my lungs and will samba through the stands. Actually i wanted to do that in Gstaad, but with my exotic look, some 'bünzli Swiss' would probably be raising their eyebrows and think that i was primitive or something. I could probably get away with that in my country where people are vocal and boisterous or in America, but not here...:(
Yeah, the Emmi advert was too short, even the 20 sec. spot. There's Roger's face (i find the make up too light or pale) and then they focus on the product, and a blur image of Rogi sitting with his feet up on a glass table in a modern flat. (too fancy, maybe a wooden table would have been a better choice, more down to earth?) But it's good to see him on Swiss tv, even brieftly, and i think people here like that.
09-18-2002, 08:14 PM
can anyone get onto his official site?
09-18-2002, 08:45 PM
Gosh, haven't been there in ages. This here's more exciting, imo
09-18-2002, 08:48 PM
Yeah I agree Mrs.B!Its more um......fun for socialising.I think you know what I mean. The sites down anyway now though I think
09-18-2002, 08:51 PM
That always happens. Too bad. And then it takes like forever to enter the forum...slow, slow, slow.....
You should see George Bastl's site. It's cool.
09-18-2002, 08:56 PM
Yeah the forum is soooooooooo slow.I havent been on that you know
09-18-2002, 09:57 PM
I was just on Rogi's site earlier today. They havent updated in so long. since he played max. what are they doing? DC is starting soon. Time for them to get busy :)
