The title is not so creative :D but anyway here is his quarter of the draw (not looking good)

F. Verdasco Vs. Qualifier
G. Canas Vs. A, Seppi
P. Kohlschreiber Vs. M. Gicquel
M. Fischer Vs. J. M. Del Potro

Wedda I would be happy with a 1st rd win if nothing else. Hopefully he is feeling better than last week. Good luck Willy.

Seppi beat Nadal indoors this year... :( but...

Vamos Willy! :yeah:

It'd be nice if he & gordo could make a dent in the doubles draw to save themselves a seat on the D.C. team but even if they win their 1R they got Nestor & Zimonjic in the next rd...

Snoo it is good that they are playing together until DC so they can get use to playing together. Still annoyed they didn't play together in the semi.

girls!!! already lost hope and talking about doubles:D

He won :woohoo: To be honest I didn't expect that too. didn't see the match but from the stats seems like Seppi was strugling with serve, but a win is a win. Verdasco next

10-06-2008, 01:18 PM
:bigclap::bigclap: Woohoo he won finally a first rd match. Going by the match stats he served 9 aces and his percentage was up from recent matches. 64% in the 2nd set.

I am so happy for him

I think he can beat Verdasco, too much hotness on the court in that match, wish there would be a livestream for that match. Then again there might be a meltdown.

10-06-2008, 03:18 PM
Yep, the old man is still walking...

Good luck against Verdasco, they could easily see each other again in the Davis Cup final.

10-06-2008, 03:38 PM
Finally a win :D :bigclap:

10-06-2008, 06:27 PM
Well done Willy!!! :bounce:

Too bad for Andi. He's a nice guy too and so is Verdasco, but I sincerely hope Willy beats him too!

Hendu Please enough with the old man talk. He is a very gl old man and I way older than Willy.

I am still really happy this morning with his win yesterday, he picked it up in the 2nd set going by the stats. :)

Just wanted to wish Guillermo loads of good luck in his match against Hott Sauce and please keep your 1st serve % up over 50% and not in the mid 40's. Bad luck in the doubles. He's first on court so I will be able to sb watch, this is better than nothing.

10-08-2008, 11:45 AM
 lost 1st set 1-6....

10-08-2008, 12:25 PM
Willy lost 1-6 2-6
He kept fighting as always but it didn't help.
Well Verdasco is in good form and when he keeps his head together, he is very dangerous.

10-08-2008, 12:30 PM
Martine did you get to watch the match. Going by the sb his serve was off again. What is going on with him. Though he did out ace Verdasco. I still want Del Potro to win the tournament.

10-08-2008, 02:04 PM
No, there was no livestream. I suppose they'll only be showing it from QF onwards.
If I could make a choice now Willy's out, I'd want Schwank to win, but Delpo's ok with me too ;)

10-09-2008, 12:01 AM
My 2nd choice to win the tournie is Gonzo. Martine or anyone else I went onto the Madrid MS website to see if I could see the main draw and I couldn't find anything. Because of his ranking he won't have to play qualies to play in the main draw will he.

yes I think he'd have to play qualleez, unless a whole mess of people drop out of the MD. Calleri, Chucho and Schwank also would have to play qualleez, even Moyini would have to play qualleez if they weren't giving him a WC.

10-09-2008, 12:20 AM
Hey Snoo that was quick work. I hope he gets through qualies or maybe as the LL though we all know he is not a loser. Wow I can't believe how horrible his year has gone, after such a good year last year. I wonder if everything has just caught up with him and reality has hit.

the seppi win was pretty impressive, to me. Losing to hott sauce is no great shame. Plus he's been through quit a lot in the past few weeks... so... we'll see... maybe he'll play some challengers this fall... I don't know...

10-09-2008, 12:43 AM
Snoo I know he has been through a hard time in the past couple of weeks so maybe I was way too harsh on him. The thing with playing challengers he might burn himself out for the beginning of 2009 and I don't want him to get injured. I can't wait until he plays a couple of tournies in Oz. Hopefully he is still enjoying himself on the tour.

Willy vs. USO quarterfinalist Gilles Muller in R1 of Madrid qualleez...

um... vamos!

10-11-2008, 12:53 AM
Oh fuck I don't like that hopefully he has been training hard and not partying to much. Snoo I was afraid you were going to say that he decided to skip Madrid.
